AU: BTS Vampire Fic. 

Lee Chaerin was never somebody who relied on others, it just wasn't in her nature. She had been a lone wolf from as long as she could remember.

She would have never imagined the thought of seven freshly turned vampires, courtesy of her own poorly planned out actions, could have made such an impact. No matter how many attempts she made to push them further away, it only seemed to fuel their justifications to stay and in time to help her to heal.

After some time, she found herself growing steadily comfortable with them as memories of the days spent were some that she would cherish for the remainder of her time on Earth. However, she could see how much the transition and separation from their loved ones had an impact on them—no matter how much they tried to hide it.

She had been selfish. Far too much that she needed, no craved company. At the time, she could hardly give a damn if she was practically stealing away their youth - it was their own fault for needing to be saved in the first place. Because the plan all along was ditch their asses as soon as she could, preferably in a ditch somewhere since they were all annoying as .

But no, that’s obviously not how things worked out in the end. Those damned things, emotions, had to get in the way. They ed everything up.

She grew to love them, each of the boys equally—despite denying this inevitable turn of events.

The trouble was, she became consumed in regret for her actions that she didn’t notice that as the days passed by, their love for her only flourished.

Because of this, she was convinced that she was doing the right thing, to leave them behind. To give them their best chance of a new start, of a shot of the happiness that she wrongfully took from them.

What she didn’t know was that leaving them and cutting off the bond as if they meant nothing to her was the worst thing she could have done.

It was only when she found herself in their company decades later that she cannot run away so easily this time.

He was a pretty boy, that was her first impression of Jin.

Looks had never been something that drew her in. Often it was the case that beauty was possessed by those who lived in an empty shell of a body, dull and simply not worth the time.

But, there was something about this one. He was unconditionally kind and genuine, the perfect example of the stereotypical gentleman that teenage girls dreamed of—except for the fact that he seemed to be knowledgeable about fashion and actively listened.

She often remembered the times she regretting turning this one.

Because he was such a pain, she didn’t know how she tolerated him half the time.

He was blunt and a straight talker, which were attributes that she appreciated in an individual, however he was a borderline sociopath that it was ridiculous. He relished in being alone, he rarely socialised willingly that she tried to recall how she even met this lazy bastard in the first place.

If this one didn’t have a blinding smile plastered across his face or laughing at anything and everything, something was wrong.

At least, that’s what she found herself conditioned to think anyway.

There were times that she didn’t understand how someone could possibly be so positive all the damn time, it was such an eyesore. Plus, it didn’t exactly help that he seemed to make it his mission to try to get her to crack a smile. But she reached a point where she didn’t have the heart to threaten him—at least, not seriously anyway.

He lived for the nights where he could let loose and participate in what he loved, there was an energy that was lit inside the pit of his stomach whenever he took the spotlight. He was so fierce and sharp that his performance would always capture the attention of those around him. But take him away from the environment he was practically brought up and he was a lost boy, as if he became a completely different person.

This one could be the sweetest when he wanted to be, but could easily switch into a flirt who never seemed to give up.

The latter seemed to be an exaggerated persona used to disguise how nervous he was talking to other girls. At least, that’s the impression she had got from observing his behaviour prior to their first meeting—at which point, he seemed to reduce himself into a puddle of stutters and bright blushes.

Chaerin felt that she was never on the same page as this guy. He would jump topics so suddenly in a conversation so fast you practically had whiplash just talking to him.

Though, she can never say that that has been a time that she wasn’t entertained just by being in the same room as him. He could be wacky one minute—or for a good few hours, then suddenly he’d revert back into a serious mode as he appeared to be in deep thought, then he would turn back to his normal self and the cycle would continue.

Last but not least, the baby of the group she had hand-picked. Not that he was pleased with being the youngest, he absolutely loathed it. And so, every opportunity that arose that he could prove his manliness and strength, he took it and demonstrated his worth each time without fail. However, that didn’t stop him from displaying child-like tendencies like craving her attention like a toddler would to a parent.

When she was forced to endure the transition of becoming a vampire, she became a freak of nature. an abomination that should never have been allowed to see the light of the day. Because there was no longer any light in her, not really. Especially if she were to succumb to her feral senses, she would be a force to be reckoned with. At which point, there would be no stopping her regardless of who tried to stand in her way - friend or foe.
