It’s the last day Park bom works in the bakery that she’s been working on past 2 years. She’s so sad but she has to work at a better place because her and Chaerin’s apartment rent is rising up. They lived together by the way, they meet on an audition for a company. Both failed. Since then, they become best friend. Bom and Chaerin then live together, as Chaerin used to study at a fashion school, the apartment kind of become her studio also. Chaerin now work as a singer at one of the famous club in Gangnam and she has to work everyday from 8 pm-2 am. Now Bom is interested in the secretary position of the CEO at a renowned company in Korea. She saw the job vacancy in newspaper last week, and she fit the requirements also the wages is more than enough to pay for the rent. She sends her resume right after she saw it, and just yesterday she got call from the company saying that she will be interviewed tomorrow.

She walked down the street to her apartment, then someone hug her from behind, the familiar voice,

”Unnie!!! Going home?”said Chaerin,

”Yeah, where are you from?”,

“As usual, meeting with my fashion friends. How is work?”,

“So sad, they said they will always welcome me back”,

“Oh,right, its your last day. Kyah, I hope you got the job, we need the money so much”,

“Yah! Why don’t you try selling your clothes?! I think it will worth so much”,

“No, it’s not perfect yet. And its hard to find the correct store to sell my kind-of-style designed clothes”,

“Yeah, whatever. Then you sacrificed me!”,

“But you want the job tho. And I actually kinda can picture you as the smoking hot secretary. I mean, damn girl, that body…”said Chaerin as she motion S-line towards Bom,

”ert!”,

“Unnie, you cook today right?”,

“What? I cooked yesterday!!”,

“But I’m lazy and hungry”,

“No”,

“Please!”said Chaerin using her aegyo. Then the conversation goes on as Bom keep denying Chaerin, then they arrived at their apartment. At the end Chaerin cooked~

The next morning, Bom wake up and preparing for her interview. She also prepares breakfast as Chaerin still sound asleep because she works very late. The time is 7 am when she leaves her apartment, the time appointment is at 8 am. She takes the bus because taxi is too expensive. She is kind of nervous as she keeps moving her feet fast. She finally arrived after 40 minutes ride. She get inside and was greeted by the receptionist, a really pretty receptionist, “Good morning,miss. I’m the receptionist, Sandara Park, how may I help you today?” greet the receptionist,

”Good morning,I’m here for the interview”,

“Oh, you are early,miss. You are the first candidate that come actually”,

“Oh,really? Well, I guess I’m a little excited,haha”,

“Nervous?”,

“Now that I’m here, I’m actually a little nervous”,

“Here is some chocolate to make you relax a little”,

“Thank you”. She is now relaxed a little bit after the sweet taste of chocolate touch her tongue.

“Hey, you know, I forgot to introduce myself, I’m Park Bom”,

“Hehe, I hope that you do your best on your interview, and we’ll be workmate”said Dara.

Then Park Bom goes to the meeting room on the 10th floor. ‘Sandara is so nice, I do hope I’ll get the job’think Bom. The other candidates has come, and now they meet with the vice president of the Choi company,

”Good morning, ladies. I’m Kang Daesung, the vice president of this company. Well, as you know, you are aiming for the secretary position of our president, Mr.Choi Seunghyun. I will interview you, one by one. So, firstly, Miss Yang Suyeon, you up first, so would you ladies wait outside of the room please?”said Daesung.

First impression that Bom got from the vice president is that he is charismatic also polite. The interview goes on, as Bom is the last to be interviewed even though she is the first one to come.

“Morning, Miss Park Bom. How are you?”greet Daesung smiling warm,

"I’m good, thank you, how about you,sir?”she politely asked back,

”I’m doing fine, thank you. So Miss Park, you lived for a long time in the US, why did you come back here?” ,

“As my resume said, I graduated from Berkley College from arts and music major. So I came here to pursue my dream to be a singer. But well, unfortunately I always got rejected right away, saying that my voice is too ‘american’. It doesn’t match with the Kpop market. My mom actually asked me to just go back to the US, but I just, I want to be in Korea, my homeland. Its been too long I lived in the US. But you know I’m pretty good in business before I major in Arts and Music, I used to be a business major, I do it well, but then I change to psychology, and change it to Arts and Music”explain Bom,

“Wow, I kind of understand how you felt, I grew up in Japan, and like you, I love singing, its my life. I love it when people could enjoy my singing. But the company said I wasn’t good looking enough to be in the kpop world. That’s when I got the job here, because my family and the Choi is close. They give me a chance, and now I’m here as the vice president”explain Daesung,

“Oh my, they said that to you? But I disagree. You actually has your own charm”said Bom,

”Haha, thanks for the comfort,Miss Park. Well, how did we get there, we are supposed to do the interview. So first question, could you make coffee?”ask Daesung,

“I used to work for 2 years at a bakery, they sell bread,cakes, also coffee and tea. I’m confident I can, because I’m pretty known of my amazing coffee”said Bom,

“That’s great. Well, tell me more why you chose to apply to the job?”ask Daesung, and the interview goes on.

“Okay, Thanks, Miss Park, for your time, and our little chat” said Daesung once again showing his eye smile,

”No,sir, thank you for your time, I mean you must be busy but you had to interview me, and other candidates”,

“Well, this is also work,right? Oh, here is your file,miss. We will email you for the next interview with Mr.Choi”,

“Oh,Thank you sir”

Bom received the file and goes to the café in front of the company. She is terribly hungry now, she waited so long for the interview. She ordered an Americano, four muffin to take out, and salad with strawberry cupcake for her to eat. She fills her stomach and keep sipping her Americano while waiting for her muffin. She finished her tiny meal and she looks by the window and spacing out thinking if she will get the job or not, if not she literally is jobless, and what should she do? Should she go back to the bakery? Or maybe it is time for her to give up Korea and back to the US?.

Then she was awaken by the employee,”Miss? We are already called your name by the microphone for several times. Your order is ready”said the employee while handing Bom the box of muffin,”I’m so sorry, I was spacing out, thank you so much” said Bom and bow to the employee and gather her stuff and quickly get out from the crowded café. She is embarrassed because it felt like their eyes is on her for not noticing the calling for her.

She saw the bus on her route back home is already on the bus stop,”Oh no! I better catch up!” she run as fast as she could to not miss the bus, because if she did, she will have to wait again for another hour. Fortunately, she could catch the bus and make her way to her lovely apartment. ‘I’ll get some nap later’ think Bom imagining her comfy bed.

She has arrived at her apartment, Chaerin opens the door,

”You look tired”said Chaerin,

”I was running to catch the bus. Here, I bought some muffin”handing the box to Chaerin,

“Thank you unnie! I’m craving for this since three days ago”said Chaerin already opening the box and eating one of it,

”So yummy! Oh right, how is your interview? Does it goes well?”ask Chaerin still munchin on her muffin,

”Its not as formal as I think, I was interviewed by the vice president and he keeps it casual but still professional”said Bom,

”What? I thought you were going to get interviewed by the president”,

“Well, after they narrowed it down to less candidates, and if I actually passed the interview with the vice president, the president himself will interviewed us”explained Bom slouching on the sofa and grab the remote TV then changing channels on the TV.

“By the way, have you actually seen him in the office?”ask Chaerin,

“Actually no, and I actually don’t know him, neither how he looks”,

“Girl! Are you stupid or what? You don’t know THE Choi Seunghyun?!”shout Chaerin,

”Wow, no need to be loud! So what if I don’t know? I will know him after I got the job anyway”,

“Where have you been, Park Bom? He is the mighty Choi Seunghyun, the attractive man with that sharp gaze, masculine face, and smart brain. He is successful at such young age, he is younger than you,unnie. He got an award for being the successor of his company by making it into an international branch instead just nationally by short time. He makes the company six times bigger than it were”,

“When did you know such information? And why?”,

“Duh! My girl friends all go ‘cray’ for him. His popularity is the same as those celebrities. Plus in fact, he and my love GD, is bestfriend”,

“Oh,okay. I guess I’m working in a serious company soon”,

“Haha, you will be so busy soon, you better prepare for all that mental and physical stuff”,

“Ah, I’m going to take some nap, I’m so tired, I will just follow the flow”said Bom and goes to her room.
