A Frozen Time

Description

On the day the King and the Queen went sight-seeing outside of the palace (and later was ambushed by assassins), the King asked his Queen to sing the song that she always sang whenshe first came to their country. Hong Lim quietly watched her singing and reminisced an an old secret that he shared with the Queen long long ago when they both were children. What would be his sentiments at that emotional moment?

Foreword

Despite the unnecessary scenes, i'm still in love with this tragic love story. I was so captivated by the forbidden love between Hong Lim and the Queen.

Eventhough the settings were quite different, I still could relate their love to that of Romeo and Juliet.

Love. Hatred. Loyalty. Betrayal. Revenge.

The ultimate ends are heartbreaks.

Above all, we should never say we regret in love, do we?

The unfulfilled love between Hong Lim and his Queen in this epic movie was strangely alluring and haunting.

Like a flower blooming in the darkest garden, we can feel its beauty but we can't see it in the open.

How about we make a prayer for star-crossed lovers like them?

I have high hopes in using this fanfic to shed some light on the depths of emotional bond between them.

Enjoy reading!

Chapter 1: Hi Mona_Kleine,

It's a good story and I enjoyed it. And, like you, I was in love with their tragic love story in the movie.

I found your story to be refreshing and addressed the loneliness that the Queen would've felt coming to a foreign country by herself and finding solace with Hong Lim, who is also stuck in a lifetime of servitude to the King. Your story also made me feel pity for Hong Lim, because unlike the Queen who is royalty and therefore is not as bounded as he is, because he does not even have the liberty of choice to make a promise. And that is very sad indeed.

Well done! Just a couple of spelling errors here and there eg: matel but otherwise good job!
