A month has passed and HyeKyo and JoongKi still wasn’t able to go to their trip. Gingko regularly visits her at the hospital, he brings food and sometimes they also go out for dates.

HyeKyo was especially excited for JoongKi’s visit for today because she had a really great news to tell him. She finally had the a week off two weeks from now. The planned to go to the beach but they are yet to plan the location. As HyeKyo got out of surgery, she hurriedly went to her dorm to change. She then went to the lobby to wait for him. HyeKyo took her phone out from her pocket as she looked at the time that read ‘6:00’ she browsed her phone while waiting for JoongKi to arrive. She kept on looking at her clock while browsing the internet. 6:00 was the usual time JoongKi arrives to visit, she made sure she was there by 6 but he wasn’t. When the clock strikes 6:10 she got impatient so she called him

HyeKyo frowned as she heard what the operator said

‘What? He wouldn’t turn off his phone like that’ she thought, she then realized that something bad might have happened to him, she was about to call JiWon when she heard a familiar voice behind her

“HyeKyo~aa!” HyeKyo turned around and saw JiWon

“Oh Jiwon! I was about to call you, something’s wrong with JoongKi, his phone is off and he normally comes here by 6:00 but..” She then stopped as she wondered why JiWon was here

“Uhh..JiWon..what brings you here?” JiWon looked down as she took out a white paper

“Uhm..Captain..He won’t be able to come today” she said as she handed her the paper, HyeKyo frowned and asked

“What? He didn’t even say anything or texted” 

“About that, my father..I mean the commander suddenly sent the alpha team to a mission, it won’t be long don’t worry but they were in a rush that they weren’t given the time to see their family or girlfriends off, so he just wrote a short letter before leaving, he also sends his deepest apologies” HyeKyo looked at the paper she’s holding, she then looked at JiWon again

“Do you know where he’s going? Is it really dangerous?” JiWon just looked down and said

“We aren’t really allowed to say anything, but if it makes you feel a little better, he’s not that far and I’m sure he’ll take care of himself and his team well, JinGoo is also with him”HyeKyo just nodded and forced a smile, she thanked her and went back to her dorm. She collapsed on her bed as she opened the letter

HyeKyo~ssi, first of all, I apologize for not even calling or texting you, we were suddenly sent to a mission, I had a lot to prepare . I hope you understand. I won’t be far and hopefully I won’t be long. I’ll miss you. I’m sure you’re wondering if we can stay in contact, I’m not sure but I’ll be off the grid  but if I have time I’ll definitely call you or text you. Don’t miss me too much, I’ll be back sooner than you think, Just continue being y in the operation room and saving lives. Let’s have our trip when I get back, I hope we will. Sarangheyo, I’ll definitely miss you a lot.
