It had been two weeks. Hakyeon still had not mustered up the courage to text Taekwoon, let alone call him. His reasoning, which was really a cover-up for his fear, was that he would not see Taekwoon for a while, presumably, so he had some leeway as to when he decided to finally make contact. Well, he thought he did.

'Hakyeon!' his father shouted, jolting Hakyeon awake.

'Yeah, Dad?' Hakyeon replied, patting his feet around on the floor before finding his slippers in his sleepy haze.

'The representatives for the vampires are coming over again! They'll be here in half an hour!'

Hakyeon's eyes widened in shock. Oh God. Taekwoon. He was doomed. Maybe if he looked presentable enough, all would be forgotten? He doubted it. He highly doubted it. Was that? Hakyeon was sure it was. Taekwoon had a cartilage piercing, inside his ear, right near the top, of a crucifix. He had to be kidding. He just- he had to. On top of that, as if that wasn't enough to kill Hakyeon off thoroughly, Hakyeon could have sworn Taekwoon was wearing eyeliner, and some type of red lip tint, and suddenly Hakyeon succeeded in yet again comparing his self-worth to Taekwoon's wardrobe. However, this time he would not stand to be so easily outdone. Hakyeon scurried up the stairs again, quiet as a mouse, which Taekwoon still would have heard, dashed into his room, and carefully, with all the precision of a heart surgeon, put two small gold hoops through the piercing holes of his left ear and lined his wat
