Just Be Happy [One-Shot]
Description
What do you when the person you love doesn't "love" you back? What do you do when it feels like your whole world is crumbling beneath your feet and your best friend isn't there to carry you through? You've been hurt so much that your body and mind is numb. You just go through the daily actions but you aren't really living. How do you cope when all you've known is a lie? You do the only possible thing there is to do. You move on.
Foreword
It was a rainy day in January; the kind where all you wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep, ignoring all of the troubles in the world. Two people were standing in the park, both soaking wet but neither of them looked like they were going to move anytime soon. The man looked at his feet, shoulders slumped and eyes on the verge of tears.
"But, why? What did I do wrong?" he says. His brain is hurting from trying to figure it out. They didn't have a fight right? Did he forget her birthday?
"You didn't do anything. It's not you . . ." she starts off.
"It's me, right? That's what you were going to say. That's what they all say. But really it is you. Really it's because you weren't good enough." He cuts her off.
"I'm so sorry. I really am. I never meant to hurt you like this." Now she is crying and her tears are mixed in with the rain.
"It's okay. I understand. Just . . . be happy." He replies and leaves; leaving her alone to grieve for her own losses and to pray that this was the right choice.
