Wonho was up earlier than usual today. He had several notebooks and a calculator sprawled out on a small table next to his unmade futon. He stared at them intensely for a few more minutes (he'd been staring at them since he woke up) before sighing and falling back onto his futon. His pen, lined with frustrated bite marks, fell from his lips.   Wonho stacked the thoughts up in his head one more time, but it all ended up in the same conclusion. Even with the scholarship and two part-time jobs, it was hardly enough. It's not as if he could just look for a third job; having two was trouble enough, and he couldn't afford being too busy and having his grades drop. Then the scholarship would be all just a big joke.   "Ah, whatever," Wonho kicked the table away and rolled into his blanket. He wished his head would stay quiet for just a few minutes, but it never did.   An alarm in Wonho's phone went off before he could drift back to sleep. He got up promptly and went downstairs with his bag and jacket.   "I'll be off, Mom."   "Wait." An apron-clad middle-aged woman by the small kitchen sink turned around to catch him. "What about breakfast?"   Wonho glanced quickly at the small table, neatly set, a humble breakfast laid out along with three bowls, although it really looked more like a breakfast for two.   "I'll be late. I'll just grab something on the way," Wonho said, smiling. "Have breakfast with Hyejin, okay?"   Wonho's mother looked her son up and down, noting the familiar combination of black slacks and a black button-down. There was a red cloth sticking out of his bag too. "Off to work?"   Wonho nodded. His mother frowned.   "What about class?"   "It's not until noon," he assured her. Noting the furrow between his mother's eyebrows, Wonho leaned in and kissed her on the forehead. "Don't worry, okay? And don't wait up for me tonight."   "Okay. Make sure you eat something, okay?"   "I will." Wonho smiled at her sweetly before taking one last glance at her. Then he went downstairs, out to the street, their rickety door closing behind him with a loud clang as he ran to catch the morning train.         From his bed to the bus, and all the way to the hallways of Anyang University, Changkyun was a cat walking on hot bricks. He couldn't shake off the feeling that somewhere, something was going to go wrong, especially now that Gunhee had reeled Junhoe into their plan—their very reckless, very stupid plan. Everybody seemed so into it, so engrossed in this that they seemed to have forgotten this was all because Changkyun wanted a shot at Lee Eunbi. He didn't think any of them would go so far as to involve her sister, a senior they were all afraid of, and a complete stranger. This wasn't worth involving any of them...was it? But if Junhoe already knew about it, chances are it was already too late to back out. Junhoe would want that internship, and he'd want it fast.   It was nine in the morning and the hallways weren't as crowded. Changkyun walked to his locker nervously, constantly looking over his shoulder like he was a character in a thriller movie. He hated thriller movies. At one point, he looked back a second too long, and slammed into someone. There was a loud flutter of paper flying into the air and onto the floor.   "I'm so sorry!" Changkyun immediately ducked and picked up the reports he knocked over, trying to come back to his senses while he was at it.   "No, it's okay, I wasn't looking."   Just when Changkyun thought he'd calmed himself down, his heart started to race again. He'd recognize that voice anywhere, and he froze at the sound of it, a little too obviously. He looked up in time for Lee Eunbi to smile apologetically at him before she knelt down and helped with the rest of the reports, stacking it up into a too-tall pile beside her.   "I-I'll help you with that," Changkyun offered. He took out the top half of the pile and helped Eunbi up.   "Thanks," she told him. She smiled and started leading the way to the office she was supposed to drop the reports at. "You okay?"   Changkyun couldn't believe it: he was having an actual conversation with Lee Eunbi. He had to bite on his tongue to make sure he wasn't still sleeping. "Uh, yeah," he tried not to stutter, "Long night. I, uh, was thinking of something when I...bumped into you. Sorry about that."   "Nah, it's cool."   Changkyun side-glanced at Eunbi. She had her hair up in a messy ponytail and was wearing an Anyang varsity jacket with jeans, a somewhat toned-down version of her usual skirts and pastels getup. Not that she never wore anything aside from skirts and girly blouses; It was just...extremely rare. Changkyun held back a smile.   "I didn't get much sleep either," Eunbi piped up, "I was studying. Well, trying to, at least."   They got to the office and Eunbi went inside to deposit the papers. By the time she got out, Changkyun had mustered enough courage to ask her something.   "Oh, hey. Uhm." Eunbi looked at him expectantly. "Jooheon and I...do you want to study with us? In our...study group? I mean, we can help you if you want! In case you have no one to study with yet... We're not boring, I swear. We're, uh...pretty fun—but we take studying seriously too, I mean. Uh. You get it right?"   Changkyun clocked Eunbi's expression, which gave him nothing.   "But you don't have to," he said, "Seriously."   "Cool."   Changkyun straightened up a little. "Yeah?"   "Yeah." Eunbi smiled. Changkyun forgot to breathe for a second. "I'm starting to think I need some help anyway. Business...it's not really my strong suit, you know? I'll call you, okay?"   "Sure! Cool."   Eunbi pointed down the hallway. "Gotta go. Thanks for the help, Changkyun."   Changkyun waved her away, watching her back as she left. Then he turned to the opposite direction and started walking. Skipping, almost. And smiling uncontrollably when he realized she remembered his name all this time.         "Hey."   ...   "Hey."   Wonho stopped walking and turned around at the voice, realizing it was talking to him. A striking blonde with sharp eyes smiled at him from three meters away and nodded towards a hallway by his right. Flustered, Wonho did a double take, making sure the blonde was talking to him. There was almost no one else in the hallway with them, and no one behind Wonho. The blonde disappeared into the hallway on his right. Wonho tilted his head, throughly confused, before following the blonde into the hallway.   Wonho found him sitting on the ledge in an empty hallway, leaning against the glass of the windows overlooking the university square. He approached the blonde cautiously, making sure he was in front of him at a safe distance. The blonde just sat there, smiling at him eerily for seconds that felt longer than they actually were.   Then the guy held out his hand.   "I'm Goo Junhoe," he said. His voice sounded like how he looked: sharp, like a knife, a little menacing. "We're in the same department. I'm a senior too."   Wonho looked at Junhoe's hand before taking it and giving it a good squeeze.   "Shin Wonho," he introduced himself.   "I know."   Wonho tried to control his expression in front of the strange blonde. "What's up?"   "I'm here to offer you a deal."   Wonho exhaled, crossed his arms across his chest. These kinds of things seemed to be happening way too often lately. He leaned himself against the opposite wall.   "Okay?"   "You probably know Lee Eunseo by now, right?" Junhoe said. Wonho's ears perked up at the familiar name. "I mean, she does have sort of a reputation around here."   "Maybe I do?" Wonho said, "We have a couple of classes together, I think. Why?"   "I need you to go out with her. Take her on one, maybe two dates—   Wonho burst out laughing, making Junhoe's expression flinch for a second.   "God. Just who is this chick?" he said between teary chuckles, "And why's everyone trying to set me up with her?"   With a knowing smile, Junhoe then launched into a detailed explanation of Eunseo's family background, her sister and grandfather, the CEO of some Dalmoon Group (Wonho's heard of it before but didn't know just how big of a thing they were until now). Junhoe told him why and who started this plan, conveniently leaving out Changkyun's part in it. And, most importantly, he told him what Wonho needed to do.   Wonho stood there, floored.   "Why me?"   "Because Lee Eunseo hates everyone from this department. But she doesn't know you."   "Huh. Okay."   "So you'll do it?"   "No," Wonho said firmly, kicking himself off the wall. "I said this to that other kid too, but I'm not into these kinds of things. Go find someone else to—   A small, brown object came flying at Wonho's direction, which he easily caught in his right hand. It was a wallet, and inside was a sizeable wad of won. He looked at Junhoe who was still smiling.   "I'm not making you do it for free, or course," the blonde said. A hint of slyness slowly found its way in his voice. "I'll make sure that, for everything you do, every date you take her on, et cetera et cetera, you'll be...properly compensated. We're both businessmen after all, aren't we?"   Wonho stared at the bulky leather in his hand. This...this was starting to get weirder by the minute. And he didn't like it. He wasn't sure if he had it in him

Chapter 4: WOW AMAZING! I say this everytime I comment, but I just reeeaaaaally love your writing, from the descriptions that make me able to visualize, to the way you can just surprise like with that ending.
I sorta felt like Eunbi would want to help, but only because she thinks it's for her sister! What's going to happen when she finds out it's for her and Changkyun. And Wonho is making me fall, how is Eunseo not falling for this yet.
Anyways, looking forward to the next update!
