Halla walks in the hallway of the school besides Jungkook biting her lip nervously hearing the comments being heard

"omo! omo! Are they dating?"

It was his idea for them to walk together, if he knew this would happen he would've just let her go on her own

She was terrified, worried, the thoughts of what would happen to Jane and SinB's relationship. She was like the middle person there, making her choose a side. How could she possibly do that?

Walking into the classroom she notices V and SinB siting awkwardly next each other keeping a distance

Trying to see if Jane is there, she tip toes and sees nothing

SinB looks up from playing with her finger nails and gives her a guilty look

Staring at him confusedly "you've been standing there for a while, everything okay?"

The bell rang and Jane still hasn't arrived yet

Ms. Jung walks in and the students all stand up

"bow!" Namjoon says an they all bow and sit down

"okay!" Ms. Jung says happily making the students wonder what's going on "anyone absent"

"Cheon Jaein is absent"

"thank you, though she isn't here she will be informed about our field trip with the class next door. We will be going camping!"

Everyone in the room celebrates clapping

"What's with the sudden field trip Ms. Jung?"

She smiles "Well you see, I feel like this year we've been working you guys too hard. While camping you can have fun while learning!"

"Miss. Halla! Will you please pass out these papers"

Halla nods and nervously walks up

"Kamsamida! There are names on the forms already"

Halla begins to pass out the papers to the person with the name on the paper

"I already assigned your groups, so don't think about being with your friends" Ms. Jung announces

They all got frightened by the teacher's loud voice

Halla bites her bottom lip to prevent herself from crying but the small motions her face makes don't help. Why was her life so messed up?

Noticing the girl besides him, Jungkook looks over at Halla worriedly

-Halla's home-

"Dad, are you home?" she hears the tv on and walks to the living room when she doesn't get a reply

Peeking in the living room she sees a old man sitting on the couch drinking beer while watching tv

"D-dad?" this was the first time she saw him in this state

"What do you want? Can't you see I'm busy?"

"U-umm I just wanted to ask if I can go on a camping trip" she passes him the paper and a pen

"Yeah sure why not. Why not just leave like your mother did. Go live your life while I try to work my off to get another ing job" He throws the beer bottle at the floor right were she was standing after he signed the paper carelessly

Sighing she goes to get the mop to clean it up, just when she finished cleaning up, he threw another bottle and this time a glass splattering cut her on the hand revealing fresh blood

Trying to hold in the pain to prevent herself from screaming, she quickly got up and went to the bathroom

Dry sobs leaves as she cleaned up the wound

"Umma, I miss you" she murmurs as she wraps the medical tape around the huge cut on the outerside of her had, slowly she places herself in the tiny corner of the bathroom crying but tried not to make any sound in fear that her dad would hear her

Her phone vibrates in her pocket

Without looking at the ID caller she answers

"h-hello?" her voice cracks as she tries to sound normal but fails due to her nonstop crying

"Hal.. Are you crying?"

Whipping the tears with her uninjured hand she could automatically tell who it is. He had the familiar, soothing voice that could calm he down easily

She couldn't bring herself to answer him

"Hal.. I'm coming over now to see you. I'm worried"

"J-Jungkook, *hiccup* I'm okay"

"lies."

"huh?" soft sobs could be heard

"your lying you aren't okay. Don't pretend to act strong, I'm here for you. I'm coming over to your house no matter what"

Thinking about what her father could do to Jungkook she panics

"let's meet at the park.."

"okay. You better come. I'll be there until you come"

"I'll come"

"you have to tell me everything. Bye"

She hangs up quickly fixes her smeared make up and quietly sneaks out the backdoor

Arriving at the park she can see Jungkook shivering there

Quickly she runs to him "Jungkook! Have you've been standing here. You should've brought a jacket. Aren't you cold just wearing short sleeves"

He holds her hands to calm her down not knowing her hand was injured

"ow." she tries to pull back one of her hands back as an automatic reflex

Jungkook frowns still holding onto the injured hand and slowly pushes up the sleeve that was covering her hand

"Who did this to you?"

"N-no one. I just wasn't careful"

Jungkook kept a straight face as if what she said was a lie

"Hal, the truth. You trust me right?"

"of course I do. But you can't turn him in or anything. Promise?"

Jungkook nods "it was my dad.."

"Mr. Lee?"

Halla nods,biting her bottom lip preventing herself from crying but tears slowly roll down her face

Using his thumb to wipe of her tears

"what did he do?"

She breathed in and explained everything to him

Halla could see the fist forming on his hands "we have to turn him in Hal"

She shakes her head while crying "No! We can't. He's been through enough loosing my mom and his job. He's going to hate me forever. You promised Jungkook"

He brings her into a hug, he could feel her starting to calm down but the sobs could still be heard

Noticing she has become pale after breaking the hug, he brings her to his dorm

He brings her a blanket and wraps it around her, they were now in his room. s are already fast asleep.

"Thanks..How are you always there for me? Thats one thing I've always wondered about"

He just smiles "Coincidence?"

She laughs exaggeratedly "More like destiny" she joked

"Get some rest. I think its affecting your head right now" He nudged her head earning an annoyed groan from her

"You and your habits of nudging me in the head-OWW" He nudged her again

"Shh, my hyungs are sleeping and they don't know you're here"

"Speaking of sleep, you should sleep. Don't worry about me too much, worrying makes you old Jeon Jungkook. Soon I'll have to call you Jeon Ahjusshi"

"Jeon Ahjusshi? Me? I'm only a year older than you Ahjumma Lee"

She pretends to make a hurt face which makes him laugh

"I should go back home" She finally stands up and gives him the blanket

Halla's steps are halted when she feels him hold her wrist

Looking back, she could see the seriousness in his eyes

"I'm not letting you go back."

"Jungkook.. I'm going to have to go back anyways"

"I don't trust your dad after what he did to you"

"I'll be fine Jungkook. I just have to be careful and try not to make him mad. It was by accident. I'll get in more trouble if he finds out that I'm gone"

He pulls her back into his arms

"j-Jungkook?" she stuttered their face nearly an inch apart
