04. Love You to Death

Kim Jaejoong couldn’t shake the last image he had of his lover. No matter how many tears he had spilled, no matter how swollen his eyes had gotten, or how broken his cries was, he couldn’t forget it. It was like that moment he lost him carved into his whole being.

Jung Yunho had always been his air to breath, his starlight in the darkness night, and the fire inside his heart. Yet, he was gone now. Jaejoong remembered it all how Yunho walked away out of his life. They’re fighting and shouting on the street and people were trying their best not to stare. But not for long, everything happened so fast.

Jaejoong was shouting Yunho’s name on one second, angry but the next one, he’s crying his name out. Yunho had enough and he turned around to get away from Jaejoong. If only Jaejoong stopped being so stubborn and for once gave in in their fight, Yunho would be alive and wouldn’t be hit by a drunken driver when he’s crossing the road.

Then it started to rain and Jaejoong called for Yunho’s name desperately. Everything blurred after that. All he knew Yunho was pronounced dead in the ambulance even before they reached the hospital. Jaejoong had lost Yunho forever and he couldn’t undo that.

Now, Jaejoong could only love Yunho to death.

Jaejoong missed Yunho; he hated him for leaving him, but he couldn’t stop loving him. 

The only regret he had was he’s the reason why Yunho died. Why did he let Yunho down? Why didn’t he try harder to understand Yunho and stop their stupid fight? Yunho had sacrificed so much for him. 

Both of them were almost recruited and debuted in an idol group; so much like their childhood dream. Yet, they had to break up after being sweet hearts since forever. No, Jaejoong couldn’t take that and so did Yunho. Yet, he knew deep down how much Yunho wanted to be a dancer, even more than him wanting to be a singer.

Yunho had given him thousands of kisses and loved him with his whole heart.

Days had blurred ever since then. Jaejoong walked on the sidewalk every day and he saw Yunho walked next to him. He smiled and greeted him but there’s no answer. Yunho was everywhere, so far, yet so close. Then he realized, Yunho wasn’t there, he’s alone. All he could do was cry like a child every day. 

Life was hard after he lost Yunho. Jaejoong blamed himself for not treasuring Yunho more. He thought if God existed, he had tortured both of them more than enough. Yet, he could do nothing, except measuring the time until the day he would be able to meet Yunho again, maybe in after life.
