Prologue
The Other Side of LoveThis is gospel for the fallen ones
Locked away in permanent slumber
Assembling their philosophies
From pieces of broken memories

“It’s over.”
In the midst of the secret garden on the Kim property, a lone shaft of moonlight broke past the clouds to illuminate the blank stature of the young man in front of her, his face emotionless and his once warm eyes suddenly changed to mirror the icy cold of the artic-like winds brushing their skin every once in a while.
The words that she had just uttered seemed to echo around them, leaving an awkward silence in its wake. A silence that she could bear no longer as she looked upon his unchanging expression and how unaffected he looked even after she had muttered words that broke her own heart as well as his own.
“Did you hear me? I said it was-”
“I heard what you said.”
The sound of his voice suddenly cutting hers off broke the fragile silence like the shattering of glass. The tension between them was still thick enough to be cut with a knife, but at least he was responding instead of outwardly ignoring her.
She took it as a sign for her to continue as she tried to both speak while ignoring the way her heart seemed to shatter as each untrue word slipped through her lips. But she couldn’t tell him that, no.
