Third Person POV

It was a peaceful night. The full moon illuminates the two being walking freely under it's light. The crickets were happily chirping which blended to the sound of the fountain nearby. Roses were in full blossom. The scent of the evening breeze and the flowers were enough to send someone in bliss. The stars that were scattered in the sky looks like glitters that adds to the serene atmosphere. A cold wind blew and the girl with a raven black hair shivered as the air touches her porcelain skin. The other girl glance at her with worried look concerned at her companion's well being.

"I'm okay master. No need to be worried. I should be the one who should look out for you." Chorong smiled warmly to the girl beside her when she noticed her concerned gaze.

"You don't have to. I'm fine so worry for yourself too." Bomi smiled meekly and patted Chorong's head, the latter in delight at the contact.

"By the way master, why did you brought me here? It's pretty late and it's not good to tire yourself out," Chorong worriedly asked Bomi who just smiled and turned her back at Chorong.

"It's pretty isn't Chorong-ah? The moon, the stars, the flowers, don't you think so too?" Bomi who stared at the things she mentioned plucked a rose on it's side handing it to Chorong who was rooted on her spot, listening to Bomi's every word.

"Yeah. They're pretty." Chorong smiled and took the rose presented to her.

"Red. I think it's the color that suits you best. You're warm, strong-willed and yet elegant." Bomi stated as she took her steps forward with Chorong following her behind.

"I was not elegant until you found me." Chorong took a whiff of the rose on her hand as she followed Bomi's tracks.

"Nope. You were born like that. Sooner or later you will also bloom like that flower in your hand." Bomi stop on her tracks and turned to smile at the girl in front of her.

Chorong cut her gaze from the flower she was holding and locked eyes with her master. The same smile that her master had when she saved her that rainy night is currently plastered on her face. Chorong remembered that same smile that brought her to tears, her emotions wallowing her at the same time. She scooted forward and kneeled on her one knee paying her respect to the said girl.

"I was a lost cat who hated those who were born elites. But you came and saved me when I thought it was the end. I hated contact especially from your kind but you patiently made your way to approach me. I began to hate myself when all I did was hurt you out of instinct, but still you remained. If I was the flower, then you would be stalk who nourish me to become someone and not just somebody."

Bomi took a deep breathe and crouched down to guide Chorong to stand up.

"You're right. You really did gave me a hard time to tame you. My whole body was full of scratches everyday you know? When the family found out, they were furious on throwing you out but of course I didn't let them touch a single strand of your hair. You're mine after all." Bomi smiled as she motioned Chorong to sit with her on a bench beside a lampost.

"I'm really sorry about that. I was just.. really afraid. From all those pain in the past, I was skeptical whether your intentions are pure. I have pledge my loyalty on you during that rainy night but it's just....it's like instincts, to defend myself whenever I feel alarmed" Chorong mumbled but enough for Bomi to hear as the half-cat plays with the rose on her hand.

"I know. That's why I tried my best to earn your trust. And finally after a few more attempts, you finally surrendered and I was able to touch you." Bomi chuckled.

"W-what's with the sudden reminiscence master?" Chorong blushed as she remembered how aloof and untamed she was in the past.

"Hahaha!" Bomi laughed. "It's just, I find it amusing how indifferent you are from before but now you clinged to me like a needy servant." The laughing girl continued.

"W-well it's just... I find it comforting and warm whenever you're close that's why.." Chorong embarrassingly confessed.

"Because I'm your master right?" Bomi sighed as she fickled a glance at the moon they were under.

"What about Eunji? Do you also find her comfortable?" Bomi asked, her eyes remained fixated at the lighting from above.

"Mistress Eunji? Well, she do gives off a comforting atmosphere. She also wears that bright smile whenever we meet so I guess I am comfortable with her. Though her servant is kind of standoffish which of course is a given." Chorong responded.

"You know Naeun's case, so let it off ok? In the case of Eunji, she really is friendly. She would hug you whenever she visits me right? Sometimes I really wonder whether it was me or you she visits." Bomi chuckled, stealing a glance at the servant beside her.

"Are you jealous master? Don't worry, although Mistress Eunji may took a liking on me. Of course, she still prefers her bestfriend." Chorong smiled as she comforted her sulking master.

"Jealous? Hahahha!" Bomi laughed breaking the serene sound of nature, piercing the silence of the night.

"Yeah, I think I really am jealous." Bomi stood up taking a few steps forward from the bench she was seated while Chorong stared at the back of her master.

"Naeun also clings to me quite a lot. What do you think of her Chorong-ah?" Bomi asked as she began to caress the red roses of their garden.

"Like I've told you, it was a given she don't like me and a fact that she likes you. She was supposed to be your servant right? I still remember the first time we met." Chorong sighed as she began plucking the roses' petal.

"It was also the first time I've met Mistress Eunji. They came to visit you and the stare from Naeun's eyes was so scary I thought I'm going to die at the sight." Chorong shivered.

"Well she has the right to. She's been trained to be my servant. She learned all the things needed to be a worthy servant that will serve the heir of the most powerful family." Bomi smiled as she plucked another rose giving it to Chorong who just finish plucking the petals of the flower on her hand.

"That night you were supposed to have her as your servant but instead you came home with me, a drench cat, following you behind." Chorong took the flower and began plucking the petals again.

"I didn't regreted it though. I'm not supposed to be the one who should pick up Naeun from the training school for servants. But I just felt like it. Walking in that cold rainy night, I feel like I should head to somewhere and then...I saw you." Bomi kneeled down collecting the petals lying on the ground.

"Naeun. Is she happy?" Chorong asked as she halted from her actions.

"Eunji is a good master. The both of them is a good mix. Although Naeun can't still see it now since she has her eyes on me." Bomi collected all the petals on her palm. She stood up and blew those petals when the evening wind came to greet the both of them. The red petals rode the wind and twirled in the air before finally falling like confetti in the ground.

"It was a good thing Naeun is an attractive cat and her human form is even more breathtaking. Considering the fact that Eunji has soft spots to attractive people and cats. Maybe that's the reason she didn't had any second thoughts when I told her to have my suppose-to-be-servant."

"Mmm. I agree. Mistress Eunji seems satisfied to have Naeun. And Naeun doesn't also rebel as a servant." Chorong nodded.

"Like I've told you, they complement each other. Maybe the reason why Naeun don't retaliate was because Eunji also have an authoritative side. If you get to know her, she has this cold eyes behind those eyesmile she always show. But nonetheless she's a good friend. It's just, I hate the fact that Eunji also has her eyes on you since you're a good-looking cat." Bomi scrunched her nose in annoyance while Chorong giggled at the sight.

"You don't have to worry about that master. I'll remain loyal to you." Chorong assured. The latter pause for a while before letting out a deep sigh her face turned serious. She glance at her master before speaking,

"Tell me master. Why did you brought me here? We're not just here to talk about the past am I right?" Chorong stood up and tugged at her master's clothes. She knew something was not right and she has this ominous feeling that after this night everything will not be the same as it used to be. Her master is acting very odd and the sudden talk from their first meeting was suddenly brought up. Although she doesn't show it, Chorong has been trying to guess the reason for their sudden late night stroll. She's been keeping her conversation with her master but deep inside a lot of insane thoughts are already bombarding her.

"Say Chorong, what do you think of me?" Bomi suddenly asked.

"Eh?" Chorong was broke in deep thought from Bomi's sudden question.

"I said, what do you think of me? I've asked you about Eunji and Naeun. Then what about me? What do you feel about me?" Bomi repeated.

"O-oh. Like I've told you, I feel really comfortable and secure around you master. It's like, you were my savior. Someone out of reach that extended your hand to save me. You're someone to whom I am willing to serve. And no matter what, no matter the circumstances, I'll do anything you ask." Chorong answered giving a warm smile to her master although the latter is facing another direction.

"You'll do anything I ask? And I presume you'll also follow me anywhere I'll go?"

"Yes!" Chorong responded with too much enthusiasm.

"Because I'm your master?"

"That's right."

"I see." Bomi sighed and inserted her left hand on one of her pockets. She fumbled for awhile before she took out a silver necklace with a tag which embed Chorong's name.

"I have a gift for you Chorong-ah." Bomi turned to Chorong and encircled her arms on the latter's neck as she put the necklace on the servant.

"This is a proof that I'm your master. And only a master. No matter what, you'll only view me as someone who save you right? Then can you at least allow me to say one thing?" Bomi whispered on Chorong's ear, the latter listening intently her attention focusing only on Bomi's words.

"I love you."

There was a few minutes of silence and only the gushing of water from the fountain can be heard. Chorong blink for a few times before giving her response to Bomi.

"Eh?"

Bomi took backward steps smiling at Chorong as she repeated her words.

"I said I love you. Not as a master to her servant, but as a normal person."

Chorong blink again. Her face in blank as she stood frozen at Bomi's words. She was still processing what she just heard and she doesn't know if she just misheard everything or her ears are playing tricks on her. But after hearing it for the second time, she's definitely positive that her master just said she have feelings for her.

"You're just kidding....right?"

Bomi scoff from what Chorong said. She close her eyes and inhaled a deep breathe before speaking.

"Well that hurts. Are you treating my confession as a joke?"

"E-eh? N-no master. I'm sorry," Chorong stuttered.

"Why are you apologizing?"

"I-I don't know."

"You don't know?"

"Y-yes."

Bomi exhaled another sigh before taking her steps closer to Chorong. The latter shut her eyes for what may happen next and flinch when she felt Bomi's hands on her chin, lifting them up.

"Open your eyes."

Chorong immediately obeyed.

"Are you scared?"

Chorong averted her eyes to the side and shook her head slightly.

"Then is it because I'm your master?"

Chorong repeated her action.

"Do you find it absurd?"

Chorong took a step backwards removing Bomi's hand on hers. She nodded her head not making contact to the person in front.

"I'm your servant. You own me. And to be honest, if you want me, you can do anything you want with me. It's your choice. I had run away from my previous master's since they tend to be abusive. But if it's you, I'll take everything." Chorong lifted her head up and made eye-contact with Bomi. She saw the frown on the latter's face and she knows her master isn't delighted with her answer.

"You're right. I can do whatever I want. You're trying to tell me that there's no need for a confession right?"

Chorong didn't answer and simply nodded.

"I know." Bomi mumbled.

The owner made her way to the fountain, halted for a while and turned to Chorong, motioning the latter to follow her which Chorong quickly obliged.

Bomi sat on the edge of the fountain as she run her fingers on the cold yet refreshing water.

"Did you know how hard it was for me to restrain myself Chorong-ah? When you would pounce on me, hug me, snake your arms on mine, whene

Chapter 12: one of the most amazing chobom plotlines, and all of your stories are like that too! a mystery to be unravelled where we never understand everything until the end, where it's all explained. that makes these such amazingly thought-out stories *0* all the twists and flashbacks weaved in and out are written so well! it's a bigger story and a greater issue at stake than what it seems when bomi first meets chorong the cat in the beginning. it's emotional, cunning, clever; the whole reason for bomi's actions and bomi doing this, and the confused understanding that chorong is stuck in but it's that she can't find the words... you can feel that struggle between their characters. so good!!! thank you for writing this one <3
