Foreword
Prologue:
L.A. airport
You were struggling to hold back your tears as you hugged your brother goodbye. Your mom was a hysterical mess and you didn’t want to make it any harder on him by starting to cry too. As you finally let go of your brother he looked you in the eyes and made you a promise.
“Melody, I promise you that I will become a successful singer known throughout the world. I will become a God of the East and send for you guys to join me in Korea. So don’t neglect your studies and stay up all night partying. And especially NO BOYS! I already told my schoolmates to keep an eye on you, so don’t think I don’t know what trouble you’re getting into!”
You hit him playfully on the shoulder “Oppa no fair! I’m going to be 16 soon I should be allowed to date if I want to, besides you are the one who said relationships are what allow you to perform with real emotions. So there!”
You both burst into laughter and Yoochun responded with a smile “That’s my spunky sister I love, I don’t think I really have to worry about boys anyways. I’m pretty sure there isn’t one out there right now that can handle you.”
“I’m not sure whether to take that as a complement or an insult oppa, but because you are leaving today I will let you off easy just this once, so consider yourself lucky!” You both looked at each other as the mood suddenly turned serious. “Take care of yourself Oppa. I’ve heard some pretty scary stories about how trainees are treated and don’t forget about us. Call a lot and email when you can araso?”
Yoochun ruffled your hair “Since when did you grow up into such a mature young lady, I’m supposed to be the older sibling here." He joked. “I will email you as soon as a can and call when I reach the hotel. You take care of yourself too and keep an eye on mom you know how she can get sometimes.”
“Stop worrying we’ll be fine, just focus on your music and become a God of the East soon so we can join you.”
Yoochun kissed your cheek and walked towards his gate as you and your mom watched on from behind the security guardrail. You couldn’t hold back your tears anymore as you looked at his retreating back. Just before he walked through the terminal, he turned and waved goodbye. You waved back and hoped he couldn’t see you crying.
After you and your mom witnessed his plane taking off, you dragged your mom back home. It was both exciting and sad that your brother was going to Korea to pursue his dream. When you finally made it home, you went straight to your room and your laptop to wait for Yoochun-oppa’s email.
Over the next year the emails became less and less frequent, but that didn’t worry you. You took it as a good sign that he was too busy with all his schedules so he didn't have the time.
1 year later:
You were finally 16 and you couldn’t believe how fast the year went by. On your way home from karaoke with some friends your cell phone rang. You heard the familiar addicting tune of “Mirotic”. You quickly answered the phone.
“Hello?”
“It’s been a long time baby sister!” You heard the familiar voice of Yoochun-oppa on the other end of the line.
“OPPA!!!! What’s up?” You could hardly contain your excitement after finally hearing from him. Then you almost dropped your phone when you heard the words you have been waiting to hear for over a year.
“It’s time for you and mom to join me in Korea”
Well that’s it for the intro. This is my first fan fiction. I was inspired by all the other amazing stories I have read that I decided to give it a try myself. Please give my story lots of love. I decided to name you Melody, meaning music/song. I don’t like when there is a blank where your name should be. I’m not sure at this point how long it is going to be, but I would guess fairly long. I have so many ideas I want to try out. I’m always willing to listen to suggestions. Comments are always appreciated and help motivate me to keep writing. It was my first time making a banner and I had a lot of fun with it.
*CURRENTLY BEING RE-WRITTEN
NOTE: This is a work of fiction. I don’t own any of these idol’s names. Please don’t copy this; I have put a lot of work into it.
