I’m not your typical nerd.
I think.
I don’t wear glasses, which is a very stupid stereotype because being smart won’t automatically give me bad eyesight, it bothers me when people can only think of a pair of thick glasses when asked to describe a nerd.
Second thing are books, lots of them and very big ones too, with complex titles and stuff.
Never thought that maybe, just maybe, I don’t like to read?
Sure I have to rely on some of the supplied textbooks for studying when the topic is too hard, which is almost never, usually I’m all set after listening to the lesson and can study from my own notes; but any way, that is the only instance in which you’ll ever see a book in my hands and even then, it barely even has any letters on it, mostly numbers.
I don’t like to read, it bores me, makes me sleepy actually.
A third thing idiots like to associate us with is long sleeved shirts bottomed to the collar, tucked into pants pulled obnoxiously high.
Why would my good grades deter from my sense of fashion? Just why? Parting my hair in the middle and gelling it down won’t help me get a high score so why would I? And the bow tie, the freaking bowtie! Why!?
I don’t dress like that and I don’t walk like I shat my pants, hugging a heavy calculus book to my chest like it is preacius, pen in my pocket, pencil behind my ear, calculator in my pocket… that’s what bags are for, damn it, and not a messenger bag either, a normal everyday backpack, you know, those you sling on one shoulder because hanging it on both looks lame; well I wear it on my back, the lame way, because I don’t care how it looks to other people, wearing it on one shoulder hurts your back.
