The Hwang Family were oblivious to the presence of the beggar. They continued to walk towards the end of the alley. As soon as they saw light coming from the end, Namwon felt a sharp pain on his neck. They turned around in horror to find the beggar holding onto a wooden pole. Lee Yeon tried pushing the beggar away, but he managed to dodge it, leaving Lee Yeon landing on her arms. The twins were too stuned to comprehend the sight they were seeing. Namwon and Lee Yeon continued to hold their stand against the beggar until, he whipped his pocket knife out and swung it at the couple. 

    Hunger had taken over the beggar's mind. He charged towards Lee Yeon and slashed her stomach. Blood splattered on his face and on the nearby walls. Namwon grabbed hold of the beggar's throat and tried suffocating him. However, the beggar reacted quickly and stabbed Namwon in his back.

Namwon:

    "Run, boys!"

    Blood spluttered out from Namwon's mouth as the beggar slipped the watch off his wrist. Sky and Skylos looked on with much shock and were rooted to the ground. However, Skylos being the matured one, grabbed Sky's hands as they darted to the city. Skylos looked back and was faced with the eyes of the beggar, who was making sure that the watch was in working order. Tears welled up in Skylos's eyes as he chanted the words in his head:

    "Mama and Papa are dead!"
