It's a fantasy-ish story, based on a short animated movie called Hotarubi No Mori e. An amazing film. I watched it shortly after I finished this three-shot, or rather 'one-shot with a prologue and epilogue'. 

Sundaysundaes' the writer whose writing really speaks to me. I almost cried reading The Marriage Life of Mr. Byun, and I cried reading this short fic. Truly an amazing writer and I could picture the story vividly in my mind. There's not much to say about the plot, as it was based on the movie, as was the characters. But since it is a written piece of work, we could look into each character's perspective a bit more deeply than the movie. 

Despite how this was based on the movie, (here's the catch) I cried reading this fic and sat for a good few minutes trying to finish the epilogue through blurry, tear filled eyes, and when I watched the movie, I was blank. (Probably because I'm a book person, instead of a movie person)

Yeah, the epilogue broke me so hard, I was wondering what to do with my life after... I can't read it again or I'll fall into a pit of despair again.
