Chapter 29
FATEDMi Joo’s POV
The flashing of light and the shuttering sound from hundreds of cameras are the first thing that comes right at me after entering the arrival hall. My group has finished performing in Japan for KCON and are now back in Korea. I am walking while waving to the fans who are capturing our moments.
Ji Soo, having her arm loops around mine, looks at me with concern. “Are you sure you do not want to go back to the dorm before meeting him? Will you not be tired after the flight?” Ji Soo whispers lowly as she beams to the big crowd ahead.
I throw my arms over her shoulder, bringing her closer to me. “My friend, have you not seen me sleeping with my mouth wide open during the two-hour flight? I will be fine,” I say, not feeling any sense of embarrassment about my confession. Ji Soo looks at me without a hint of surprise, immune to my unfiltered words.
“Alright then.” Ji Soo smiles, still tugging me near her.
Not long after, the sea of people vanishes when we are at the underground carpark of Incheon airport. Security is tight in here as it will be dangerous for that large amount of individuals and to other users of that same carpark. It is not the usual exit from the airport since we normally will wait for our manager to get the van and picks us up from the open road. However, the situation is different now and we need to do it in a more secluded area.
There are two black vans located next to each other at the corner of the parking lot and I recognise them immediately. One of them being our van while the other is his team’s van. Hun Seok, our group’s personal manager, leads us to where the two vehicles are. A guy who is dashingly handsome is standing in front of the vehicles, acknowledging us.
“So, the seven of you go inside here and Mi Joo, here,” Hun Seok instructs us eight girls.
The others follow accordingly while I remain outside being cautious about my surroundings. I have been wary about everything since that incident in which Hun Seok has come to believe in eventually. I eye the place carefully, making sure that no one is here except the load of us.
“I have check and we are safe. Do not worry,” Seung Hoon, the good-looking man also known as Got7’s manager says, assuring me.
“Just being extra vigilant,” I chuckle which soon fades. I am nervous, what if the same person following us is here?
“Mi Joo?” Hun Seok calls, signaling me that I should waste no time to get into the other van.
“Have fun!” Su Jeong says happily, the rest bidding their goodbyes to me as well before sliding the door shut. If only I could have pure fun without this factor bothering me.
I spot Mark’s radiant grin the moment I hop into the vehicle safely. “Hey,” Mark speaks, brushing his soft lips against mine. My anxiousness is instantly gone when I hear his voice. His gentle touch puts my heart at ease straight away.
Seung Hoon gets in the van the same time as I take my seat at the last row where Mark is beside me. He soon drives off after I have settled down comfortably. When we are on the main road, Mark and I are facing back, checking any signs of cars that seems to be tailing us. So far, nothing weird or suspicious has caught our sharp eyes so it is safe to assume everything is going smoothly. For now.
“Where are we heading?” I ask, not having a single clue about our destination. Hun Seok only informs me that I will be in a separate van as the girls and nothing else.
“Seung Hoon is bringing us to a building where many celebrities can date peacefully, without having to worry about getting caught,” Mark explains, enlightening me.
“So, it is a famous location for people like us to date?” He nods his head, placing a loose strand of hair behind my ear. “Will it not be more dangerous? I mean if a couple gets busted, we will too right?” I continue my questioning.
“From what I have heard, no one has been discovered in this building yet so it is pretty sheltered. Is it not cool? We can see which celebrities are together,” Mark says, excited about this whole procedure.
“We do not have the rights to be snooping around other people’s personal affairs when we could not even take a lookout for ourselves,” I remind him as I poke his forehead. Mark still thinks it is a great idea from the looks of his brown eyes. I can only sigh in response.
I figure that such measures have been reinforced after we told our companies about the incident. Mark and I inform our CEO the day after it happen and both have decided to take this precaution to ensure our safety. They certainly do not want anything bad to occur to us since we are still young idols in the music industry. Consequences of it will also be damaging to the companies’ reputation as netizens will see how they will handle the case. It sure is frightening just thinking about it all; the outcome, the comments.
The journey is still a long way to go from Seung Hoon’s telling. The two of us are starting to get a bit restless since we cannot do anyth
