I dispatched the hunters, consumed their souls until nothing but empty husks remained before chasing after her. It takes me a while to find her, but I do. I stand now, watching her. She sees me. I step towards her. She steps back. And so it begins. She disappears. I chase after her. I want her. I want her to want me. I feel like she’s getting closer to me. If not physically then mentally. My thoughts are filled of her. Even if all I see is her back as she retreats, I see her face, so hauntingly beautiful. I can smell her scent, so pure yet cruel. Some days I don’t see her. I know more about her now. Cold hearted. That’s how they described her. Unable to let anyone in. She is like thunder. There one minute, threatening yet strangely calming, before vanishing the next. I can feel it now. This spark. Whenever I see her. Even if it is just a glance, for the briefest of seconds, before she disappears again, I feel it. I should claim her. Claim her soul as my own before it’s too late. Finally I catch up to her. I can see it now. This trail that we left in our wake. Love.
