For the First Time
Description
Kim Min Na (Fictional)
Min Na lives in the country side with her father and ailing grandmother. She is a gentle person who puts the needs of others above her own, and always without regret. Growing up with her father has made her a very strong individual, physically and emotionally. She is intelligent and honest, loved by all the people in the small village. However she has never loved. Although she knows a little about what it is like to care for another person, because she dearly cherishes her father and grandmother, she does not know what it is like to be in love with someone. She finds it strange how one can become so fixated on someone they have fallen in love with. All the stories her friends tell her about love scare her. Thus, she tries not to let anyone become attached to her. By distancing herself, she feels that it is safe for her to continue living the way she is. Rational. Sane. Reasonable. Strong. If Min Na fell in love, it may be the end of everything she has ever known.

Foreword
Love.
For a person to somewhat understand it, one must have fallen in love, and fallen out of love. You can never fully understand love, as it is complicated thing, filled with so many emotions it cannot be truly defined. It can be strange how there is such a fine line between love and hate. Love can make you do hateful things, from there the love that you had, is swallowed in a whirlwind of hate.
But like I said, love is a strange and complicated thing. For those who find it easy, and simple, I feel that they have never really fallen in love. If it is too perfect, don’t they feel the need to question its perfection? As I believe, in this world there is no such thing as perfect.
This is a story about someone I know, a story about her love, and how strong it was. What was it like to be completely and unconditionally in love with someone? How do you know if what you are feeling is really love?
This story was told to me by my father, his version is not as detailed as this, but I did a fair bit of research, the missing blanks were filled in by her diary, which was given to me by her grandmother. There may be parts where this story is lacking, however it is only a recount of the events that I have heard and read about. So please bear with me if it is not perfect, if it were possible I would have loved to interview her myself, however the woman has passed away.
This is her story.
