I'm not the best at writing songs myself, but I've done it a long time ago lol. Here are some tips:

If you play an instrument, start playing around with it. If you improvise a lot, it's easy to find inspiration that way.

Write some ideas. What kind of songs do you like listening to? What do you wanna write about?

Start writing lyrics. Typically, a song has

• chorus
• verse
• chorus
• bridge
• chorus

But who cares about rules? write it how you want!!!!!

Put music and lyrics together

BOOM you got yo song. Go and perform it

The rules can go for any song, whether it's something silly, for school, or your own entertainment.
