It's a mysterious night indeed.

The moon was showing off it's full size as it glows a shade of red. Bright red. It hangs unusually low on the horizon, as if wanting to take a closer look at that creatures on earth are doing. It was one of the most dangerous night of the year. Along with the blood moon, the dark forces were at their strongest.

Wearing my favorite black hoodie, I stroll along the alley, humming to my favorite song that were blasting through my headset.

Somehow, suddenly, the wind stop blowing, the scene turned quiet. Instead of fastening my pace, I intently slowed down, peeking through my bangs at the source of the red light and stopped walking. The moon was beautiful, frankly speaking. But it’s such an irony that the beauty came with a major danger.

A gaze pierced through me. Someone is watching. Close. Probably just a few feet away. Instinctively I reached my belt pocket, searching for the metal rod that could be a lifesaver.

“” I quietly muttered. It was supposed to be there just on my belt pocket. But it wasn't. Where? Did I? Ugh, I must’ve left it somewhere.

Now what?

It was still quiet but the distant sound of hiphop through my headset that i took off just now.

The slightest brush of leaves alerts me, before i decide that it was probably some squirrel heading home….

But the next one wasn't a squirrel. It was a human step. A leather shoe against the fallen leaves on the pavement. Approximately 3 steps behind me.

“What do you want?” i exclaimed loud enough without turning my back.

What i heard as a reply wasn't gonna let me have a good night sleep.
