It's a little tradition of theirs, their little Hershey jar. If Chanwoo's lucky he gets to pick and he'll pick out the strip of paper, where he gets reward with tiny little kisses. It's special, it's a small treat for him everyday. But even if he picks out a chocolate kiss, Yunhyeong will still reward him with pecks across his eyes and his knuckles.
"Your eyes are the prettiest I've ever seen,"
Is what Yunhyeong always says.
And Chanwoo always feels guilty because he can't say the same to Yunhyeong. Even if he wants to, he can't bring himself to lie. He doesn't know the caramel colors Yunhyeong describes to him when he talks about the windows of Chanwoo's soul, his eyes. He doesn't know the honey color Yunhyeong affectionately whispers about.
All he knows is that Yunhyeong's lashes are long and delicate, his lips soft and plump and his cheekbones well defined. All he knows is that Yunhyeong's skin is as soft as a baby's, his hair and smooth as the clouds. The only thing he knows is touch.
But he can't say that Yunhyeong's handsome, he can't compliment him. Because he can't see.
Yunhyeong always says,
"Chanwoo-ah, you look like me!"
He wants to be able to laugh along with Yunhyeong when he says that, but, he doesn't even know how he looks like, wouldn't know. He has forgotten how he himself looks like, the laugh that comes out his always empty. All he knows is black, he doesn't know the baby beige Yunhyeong mentions, doesn't know the ruby red.
Because all he knows is black, a constant twirl of darkness and sorrow.
