Wedding Bells [Bonus #2]
Two Stars“That was Na Ying’s Silence requested by our caller Yixing. We hope you enjoyed listening to this song on-air! For those of you who are joining us now, you’re listening to Mystic Radio with your ever-so charismatic host, Jongdae. And as usual, no matter how hard I try to scare him off with my countless pranks, that annoying guy Baekhyun is here as well.”
Jongdae ducked when his fellow radio personality threw a paper plane in his direction followed by a procession of scrunched-up paper balls.
“Yes, your co-host Baekhyun, that is. That line is running quite a bit dry now, Jongdae. Seriously,” Baekhyun chuckled good-naturedly into the microphone, satisfied that the viewers couldn’t see the rude hand gestures that he showed Jongdae, before he went on. “Now, moving onto pleasant topics! Last weekend, a blinding event took place, a union to rival those of fairy tales – power couple Hunhan were wed in an extravagant ceremony so beautiful that it has already been dubbed as ‘the wedding of the century’ and ‘Guangjing’s equivalent of the Royal Wedding’. “That’s right, Baekhyun! You and I would know better than anyone since we were actually there,” Jongdae said, narrowly missing another paper ball chucked at him. “Up next is a song that I dedicate to everyone in love and all of those who are still searching. This is Call You Bae by Jimin. Stay tuned!”
Jongdae switched off the microphone and slipped his headphones off as he watched Baekhyun do the same. “Hey, best man,” he called in a feeble attempt to grab the other’s attention.
“Yeah?” Baekhyun replied absent-mindedly.
And then almost as though a light bulb had clicked above the self-proclaimed hapkido master’s head, his eyes lit up and his mouth fell open in shock. His eyes were blinking incessantly and his finger was pointed at Jongdae who was already beaming as he took a moment to process the information.
The song was almost finished by the time Baekhyun finally closed his mouth and with a smile that reached his eyes, he put his headphones back on and nodded at Jongdae. “Yeah.”
Blooming flowers with alluring scents and pleasant colours adorned the aisle of the wedding venue down which Jongdae walked with his hand protectively grasping that of his one true love, Manager Minseok of Le Café de L’Esprit.
That was the place where Chanyeol had first met Baekhyun and as the silver-haired giant gazed over at his fiancé throwing fistfuls of confetti over the newlyweds, he couldn’t fight the urge to join him in his mischief. Chanyeol headed towards the best man, accidentally stepping on the foot of a violinist on the way which earned him a panda-eyed death glare to which he responded with a sheepish expression.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the garden, Baekhyun had run out of confetti and a mischievous smirk appeared on his face as he eyed the flower girl’s unattended basket of petals innocently sitting nearby. He peered over to where Jongdae and Minseok had managed to escape f
