He was out with her this weekend, again. It had seemed that nearly every Saturday morning he was out with his female cousin. He thought you didn’t mind too much, and that he could be out with her as much as he way. However in all honesty, it did bother you. It bothered you that you barely saw him when you got up. It made you sad you couldn’t greet him in the morning, on one of the few days he had off. Why is he using all his free time on her?

Was this how a marriage was supposed to be? You got married just two years ago, and he goes hanging out with her. It was unfair to you as a wife. Were you not fun to be with anymore? Did he lose interest in you? Did he have a family problem and not tell you? You changed your feelings from mad to sad and incompetent. Am I not enough?

You dusted the sad feelings away and turned them into motivation. Today, I will be a good wife! No, I will be a better wife! You get up out of bed and try to restart your day. You took a shower, cleaned up around the house a little, and started to make lunch. You were going to make one of his favorite things to eat, a Korean stew! You figured it would be easy enough, you made it once with his mom teaching you, so finding a recipe to follow wouldn’t be too hard.

While finishing the stew, you decided to prepare a few simple side dishes for him to eat as well. Kimchi, bean sprouts, japjae, amongst others you made. After making those, you planned on making something sweet to eat afterwards. He sure was being spoiled by you today.

Not long before you were done, Jaebum sent you a text.

Hey Y/N, I’m almost home. See you :* :* :*  (kissy faces)

You finish up your homemade meal and set it out on the table. Just as you put the stew in the center, he opens the door. He came in calmly, taking his key out of the door knob.

“Hey, I’m ho,” he stopped mid sentence, taking in the aroma of the stew. He looks in the direction towards the table and had his mouth hanging. He then closed it with a smile.

“Stew! My favorite.” He says sweetly. He gives you a hug and a light peck on the lips. After sitting down, he dives in to his meal. You sat next to him, eating, but also observing him. He seems happy, he seems to like it…I don’t understand.

Almost as if reading your mind, he noticed and asked, “Hey, what’s wrong?” Your reply to this question seemed reasonable to you.

“Is there something wrong with your family, is everything okay?” You asked with concern.

“Yeah everything’s all right…but why do you ask?” He questioned you hesitantly.

“Well I was just wondering since wondering since you were out so much with your cousin and I was you know just wondering what might have gone wrong or…” you continued to ramble. Jaebum slowly smirked and realized what was going on.

“Y/N, are you jealous?”

“What? Of your cousin? Why would I be?” You ask in a very horribly hidden lying tone.

“Maybe not her, but because I spent so much time with her.” You keep your face down, continuously looking at your bowl of stew. He found out…

“I knew it! Aw, I understand that you’re mad babe. I’m sorry that I made you feel neglected. I just needed her help with a few things,” Jaebum comforts you, putting his arm around your shoulders.

“Okay,” you say. “But you could’ve asked me…” you continued inaudibly. You thought he didn’t hear you, but he did. He frowned at you, since he just couldn’t keep it in.

“Actually hun, I couldn’t have.” You look at him confused.

As a reply to your furrowed brows, he began to say, “It was supposed to be a surprise…” he muttered sadly to himself.

“She was actually helping me with an anniversary gift, for our third year together, since she’s like the closest person I know with a great feminine touch, but I guess that my cover’s blown…” he finished.

You look at him and start apologizing, “Oh Jaebum! I’m sorry, I didn’t know…I was just kind of mad and sad that you were with her and not me. I’m really really sorry.” You pouted at him.

Jaebum recovers and states, “Well you do know I have something for you, but you still don’t know what it is! Haha, you will find out soon enough!” The only thing you could do was frown and stare at his happiness. Now you were anxious to find out what it was! Oh well, it was your fault it happened like this.
