I'm just going to say that this is a very bizarre little au because I was playing with these characters, and the world, and I'm not even sure what I've done, but ... well, I'll let you be the judge of it. Warning for mystical elements.

Chapter 1: I'm speechless....absolutely speechless but seriously this is PERFECTION thank you so much for writing KaiLay! That was the best one shot I've ever read and the fantasy about it was awesome. I loved the ending too, guess they kept coming there till they got very old and after dying, they became the new spirits of the lake... sad actually but very happy at the same time just so perfect! XD

honestly fantasy au is not really my thing but oh my god this is one of the most beautiful thing i've ever read. the plot is so smooth, i really really like the part when yixing come back every five years to meet a more mature and fully grown jongin. it's so well written, i cant explain how good this is. i hope you would continue writing more stories like this or maybe more kaixing stories! good luck!!!

Chapter 1: I don't read fantasy au but I was listening to a song that gives off a dreamy/fantasy vibe and it made me want to suddenly read a fantasy fic. So here I am. And I liked this. Yes, there are questions left unanswered but this story captivated me nonetheless. Thank you for writing this. :) ♥

Chapter 1: This is so beautiful ;n; so the meaning of "it" that they both met each other aka their fate/destiny?

And they both destined to be the next spirits...?

I bet this will look good as a movie, somehow xD and....kaixing *-* how come I just found this fic smh

Chapter 1: I've initially had my eyes set on this for the prospect of Taeil and I'm happy he didn't only have a minor cameo ♪
(adorable mature Taeil with his awesome glasses and awesome hats!)
That being sad this story had a really captivating atmosphere~
I like how both characters' stories individually played out. Especially the way Jongin was gradually included from a minor character to an equal main lead (kinda like he was included in Lay's life?); it came across really natural, as in it had me personally wishing for more Jongin and my wishes were heard! :D
The overall plot is kinda abstract -though not incomprehensible- and I found it a bit curious how Lay symbolized the butterfly/flower while Taeil was an actual human-like being.
But I'll just make up my own interpretation and it's probably more fluffy than the actual story!
