She woke up before he did, like always. 

She loved waking up next to him. She loved to watch his peaceful face in the early hours of the morning. The small lines of worry straightened out when he slept. 

She loved the way the sun splayed the light around him. Their room had these French doors leading to a huge balcony that opened out to the east. So when the morning sun quietly creeped in every day, the first light would make him subconsciously turn his body towards her while snuggling closer to her. And by the time she woke up, he would have a halo about his face, a halo of golden sunlight. That and his beautiful mouth, slightly agape in sleep, and his red and white skin would make her feel like waking up to an angel in her arms.

She loved that angel in her arms. She loved him so much that sometimes her heart ached with its extent. It made all the times that he broke down, in front of her, harder than she ever imagined. His pain, his tears had the power to shatter her heart into pieces. 

As she remembered the terror on his face from the night before, she sighed. She would steal all his nightmares if she could, if it meant that he would sleep peacefully. She lifted her hand up to his wayward hair that needed a haircut. His hair grew out so fast. She constantly about trading his hair with hers. 

He opened his eyes and smiled. At that moment, it was all both of them could ever want, to be happy, as they stared silently, her gazing at him lovingly and him sleepily returning the smile. 

"Goodmorning, sleepyhead", she whispered, not wanting to break the magic by speaking in a normal voice..

" Mmm..how long have you been staring at me sleeping?" He mumbled back.

"Not as long as I would like to. You really do look angelic when you sleep, you know .." She smiled.

He mumbled something inaudible and pulled her closer to himself and nuzzled her hair. He took in a long breath and took in the smell of her hair. Apples and cinnamon. She always smelled of apples and cinnamon. It was the typical In Ha smell..and for him, it was the best smell ever. He placed a tiny kiss
