Jongdae had no choice but to adapt to his new life with changes. Taking a week off every time there was a full moon was one. Living with Xiumin at the bookstore for the aforementioned week was another, though he helped out with chores where he could instead of lazing the days away.

Helping Xiumin run the bookstore wasn’t exactly what it seemed. He had customers that looked slightly transparent during the day and some customers that hid sharp teeth behind their customized flu masks. Xiumin's service to them came in the form of carefully bottled potions, demon protection, and summoning circles, though he was sure there was more.

He was very thorough though, and Jongdae just happened to be along for the ride.

A/N: I hope you enjoy this story I've been working on, just in time for Halloween. It's the first story I'm posting here, so please be patient as I get used to all this formatting. I'll be adding more pairings as characters start to appear! I forgot to add before, but this fic will have subtle TaoLay, KrisHo, BaekYeol, KaiSoo, and HunHan. I paired them up due to convenience for the different arcs, so it's not quite shippy... just a lot of those specific character interactions. This is also more XiuChen than it is ChenMin in case this is something vital to your reading needs.

P.S. I've never had a cat so all of this is pure research and... some observation. I apologize in advance for any inaccuracies. The supernatural aspect of this fic is also unreliable as I take creative liberties with a few of the mythical creatures.
