Six Seconds
Description
Sometimes it is difficult to string words together in order to express one's thoughts. Sometimes it is difficult to speak said strung words aloud. And sometimes it is difficult to believe they are true. It can be a risky thing – confiding in someone else, giving them the chance to either make you or break you – but sometimes it is worth it, and can put the heart at ease.
In a world where a countdown is plastered on the inside of one's wrist, people have a greater chance of meeting their soulmate. If it freezes, your lover is gone. If it reaches zero, you've come across your match. But the countdown does not work in everyone's favour, for you could be in a crowded street and have it show the number zero, not knowing who is the one for you. And that is what happened to Sebyul, the girl who least expected it.
Sebyul is quite the introvert, someone who does not speak of her struggles. Reaching adulthood sooner than she'd prefer, she feels suffocated when left to her own thoughts. She's someone who needs to count on another, but is too exhausted to go out on a journey - a journey to find him.
Foreword
Hello, I have another story posted now: Six Seconds. It won't be too long, and will be updated after I get around to TBWTPU (which should be this week)! With Day6's debut, I thought it would be appropriate to publish a story for them, with Jae as the lead. Congratulations to Day6 and their successful debut! I'll be rooting for you.
On another note, I was a bit hesitant with using the name Sebyul. Nevertheless, please show support for this fic. I have made it subscribers-only in the meantime until I can regularly update. Thank you.
This story is inspired by the well-known image of a wrist with a countdown. (x)
