I saw him onstage, my only focus

Until our eyes met

Until those tears brimmed my eyes

TIll his eyes turned moist

I was his last target

Did he meet somebody prettier?

I watched his lean figure slowly walk away from me

Standing there like a freak show

Now, he watches me as I walked away

His feet rooted to the ground

His eyes never left her back

His eyes held pain

Was I just imagining it?
