[1/2]

I just want you to know...

“Ooh, Sungyeol hyung! There’s another love note on your desk~! Does it have a name on it this time around?” Sungjong teased as I walked into the classroom.

“Shut up…” I mumbled when I made it to my desk and had a look at the yellow post-it note with my own eyes. It started out the same as all the others I had received over the past few months and I couldn’t help but smile a little after reading it. “They’re not love notes…”

“Oh but they are my dear hyung! What else do you think they’re supposed to be? Just another way of trying to become ‘just friends’?” Sungjong asked with a raised eyebrow.

            “… Yes?”

The look on Sungjong’s face told me that the answer I had given wasn’t the right one. “Stupid hyung! Those are outright ways of hitting on you and you are trying to play it off as someone trying to be friendly? Ugh. Hyung, what does that one say? Come on. Tell me!”

“Why do I need to tell you what the notes say? They are for my eyes, not yours.”

            “Hyung.”

I rolled my eyes but passed him the note anyway. (I was too embarrassed to read it out loud…)

“’I just want you to know that your smile is enough to light up my world, even on the darkest of days.’ Now. Does that sound like he wants to be just friends? Your smile lights up his whole world!” Sungjong said with confidence as he slipped the post-it into the plastic cover of my binder where I usually kept them. “I think you should right him a note back.”

“What!? I can’t do that! What if me responding makes him stop? What if this whole thing was nothing but a joke? What do I do then? I’ll be me a laughing stock by the entire school! Especially if it’s a kingka!” I screeched and the look on my face most have been a funny one because Sungjong was laughing his off. Meanwhile, I was eternally dying. I never even thought about all of the possibilities till I laid them out in front of me. What if the guy was a kingka? What if this was indeed just one big joke?

Especially when I was starting to feel myself falling for the guy behind these notes, despite not knowing the person behind them. It didn’t even really matter who it was. What mattered was that someone was actually showing interest in me… At least I thought they were… Until now.

“Hyung, please. This guy is totally in love with you. Even if he is a kingka, he’ll make you his queen!” Sungjong managed to get out after his laughter died down.

“How can you be so sure, Sungjong? You’re pretty popular yourself. You wouldn’t understand that most people play me off as a jokester and that’s about it…”

Sungjong shook his head. “Hyung. All of our friends would agree that you are the cutest thing ever and have one of the best personalities that anyone would fall in love with.”

            “Really?”

“Really. Now. Are all of those horrible thoughts out of your head?”

            “I guess?”

“Good. Now let us get started.” Sungjong cheered as he clapped his hands together with a grin.

I looked at him with a raised eyebrow. “Get started on what exactly?”

“The note you’re going to leave your lovely admirer.”

            “Uh… No?”

            “UH… YES.”

I shook my head. “No way. Besides, it wouldn’t be right to respond to such cute little notes with some random writing on regular paper.”

            “I came prepared!”

“What?” My eyes widened when Sungjong pulled out a pile of pink post-it notes and a black pen with the feathers on the end. “What is with that pen...?”

Sungjong shrugged. “I just thought it would go well with the mood of writing fluffy notes.”

“You, my friend are a freak.”

“Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Bring your chair over here so we can get this worked out. I don’t want to be doing this last minute before classes end and have to run it back here.”

I looked at him with a pout (because I wasn’t getting my way!) but pulled a chair over anyway. “We don’t really need to do this…” I proposed though I knew nothing would come from it. Sungjong had already made up his mind on the subject and I wasn’t one to argue with him when he was passionate about something. Though I really wanted to know why he had to be so passionate about my love life! Why couldn’t he get his own!? UGH. WHY MUST I SUFFER SUCH A FATE? WHY??? I’m not sure why I’m screaming about all of this in my head but I suppose I should be paying more attention to the problem at hand… Like Sungjong trying to figure out what to write in a note to my ‘admirer’.

“Hm. How about we ask him to meet you in person?”

            “NO!”

            “Why not?”

“That would be so embarrassing… What if I’m not what he was expecting if he meets me in person?” I asked while twirling my fingers around the strings of my jacket.

“Goodness hyung. We already had this talk! The guy likes you. I’m pretty sure you’ve probably met the guy face to face anyway. So of course he knows the real you. Plus you’re pretty loud… He’s probably even heard you talking from a distance and figured out what you’re really like if he’s only seen you from a distance.”

             “Wow… What a way to motivate…”

“Yep. Now I think I have the perfect thing for you to write! Take the pen and write what I tell you to write.” Sungjong demanded.

I took the pen shoved in my direction along with the pad of sticky notes. “Uh… Do I have to?”

            “Yes.”

“Okay… What am I writing exactly?”

“Alright. Start with ‘Hello, admirer. It’s been awhile since you began leaving these notes on my desk and have decided that it is time to respond to you-“

“You’re the one who wants me to respond.” I interjected.

“-And to figure out who you are. I wish to meet you in person if that’s okay. How about tomorrow on the roof at 12?”

“Should I write who it’s from?”

“No you dummy. Of course he’s going to know it’s you! Plus, he probably knows that you’re one of first people in here so he wouldn’t think it was a joke. He also doesn’t leave a name, so you shouldn’t either!”

I rolled my eyes at the idea. “Can I at least put an S? To give him an idea that it is me writing these notes?”

“Fine, but only put an S.”

            “What are you two doing?”

“Hoya hyung! Hey, we were just writing a note to Yeollie’s secret admirer.” Sungjong grinned while grabbing the post-its and waving them in the air.

“Ooh, finally getting yourself a man, Sungyeol ah?” Hoya teased.

            “Shut up!”

            “Who’s getting himself a man?”

            “Sungyeol hyung is!”

Woohyun grinned from where he was leaning against the doorway to the classroom. “Congrats!”

I moaned from the annoyance of half of my friends finding out about the ridiculous plan thought of by Sungjong. Why can’t they just walk away instead of getting involved? Goodness. Nosy little things.

“What are you doing here, Woohyun hyung? This isn’t even the right floor for your classes!” I whined when he finally pushed himself away from the door frame to come and ruffle his hand in my hair. I smacked his hand away with a little growl. “Stop that.”

“How can I? You are just too cute! Finally writing back to your future lover~!”

“He’s not my lover!” I protested.

Hoya winked. “Not yet at least.”

            “You guys are jerks.”

“But we are your jerks!” Sungjong grinned. “Though I’m not sure how helping you get a guy is being a jerk.”

I couldn’t even respond to that.

“Oh? Getting the guy? Mr. Admirer is going to be super happy.” Another voice put in.

“Sunggyu hyung, come to join the party?” Sungjong asked as he finally peeled off the sticky note with my neat little writing in the center so that he could place it in the corner of my desk. He then ripped off another and wrote ‘do not touch’ before placing it just underneath the other.

“Nah. Woohyun said you guys weren’t outside and told me to meet up here.” Sunggyu answered with a little shrug. “So you’re finally writing back to the guy who has been not so subtly flirting on you? Man, I’m never going to hear the end of this from him.”

There was a moment of silence before all of our head whipped around to stare at the oldest. A collected screech of ‘you know who it is!?’ escaped all of us.

            “Yeah?”

“Why didn’t you tell us!?” Sungjong screamed.

“It isn’t my place to tell others secrets.”

I looked at him with curious eyes. “How did you find out?”

“I came to school early one day for the student council meeting and I just happened to see him in here while I walked by.” Sunggyu said with a shrug.

By this time other kids had been slowly entering the classroom and the teacher had just walked in to drop things on her desk. Looking at the clock, I saw that it was almost time for classes to start. “Guys, you should go to class…”

“Yeah, I guess so, come on Woohyun.” The two left the room with a small wave and a promise to see the others later.

Sungjong and Hoya settled into their seats while I moved across the aisle to my own. I couldn’t help but stare at the note even as the bell rang for class to start. My insides were churning at the thought of tomorrow. What if it was just a joke?

What if all of those notes were just a way of dragging me in and in the end it won’t really mean anything…?

Chapter 2: THAT. WAS. SO. CUUUUUUUUUTE !

I liked everything, from the frustration he felt when he couldn't find his friend to the ending which was neither too fluffy nor too short. Yet, I was a bit... not disappointed but... Well, I was hoping that SungYeol would be a bit more "hard-to-get" if you see what I mean, even thought he wrote him all those love letters.
And the part where he tried to be more "casual" while making some efforts to please SungJong was really funny and well described ^^
It was realistic and I liked it.

Overall, I had a good time reading your two-chapters-long story. Thank you !

Chapter 1: Hello ~

Just saying this before resuming my reading : The First part was funny :)
How they all get involved in this like it's a really special event they have to be part of xDDD
SungGyu said He'll never hear the end of this, but I think SungYeol is more the one who's going to keep being bothered by his friends ^^

Yet, I love their friendship ^^ Really :D

I'm moving on to part 2 ^_^
