Turn Back;

Born to a single mother, Wu Yi Fan had lived a tough life growing up in the broken homes of the poorest Chinese neighborhood, he also had a very weak heart and was quite sickly. As a child he watched his mother slave herself away, doing anything to earn money to feed her only child even though he didn't have much of an appetite for food.

Although he rarely approached others, he gave one person a chance. He thought that maybe having friends wasn't so bad, but she up and left without a word. After this incident, he lost the ability to trust and returned to an even more bitter and unhappy state. He pushed her to the back of his mind, successfully forgetting her.

Given the chance to study abroad, he contemplated on declining because he wanted to stay with his mother. His mother, on the other hand, was proud to have such a man be her son. Even though it broke her heart, she told him to go and live his life to the fullest.

In Canada where he continued his studies, he met his first love. She was his everything as he was to her. He proposed to her. For the first time he was happy, but sadly all good things come to an end. News of Yi Fan's mother falling ill came to his ears and he rushed onto a plane, having to leave his girl. When he landed he had an encounter with a magical being who put a curse on him. He wasn't sure exactly what happened to him but pressed on, leaving.

Yi Fan returned to his home in China only to find an empty home. He was redirected to a new address and he stood in front of his mother's grave. He learned that his mother had been and killed by a man who he once thought was a family friend. In anger, strength he did not know he possessed controlled him and he avenged her death. It was the moment when the man's blood rolled down Yi Fan's cheek and onto his lips he realized revenge was very sweet and he learned that on the inside he was a monster. In the midst of his blind revenge he had accidentally slaughtered his fiancee. This incident confirmed that he was indeed a creature. A vampire. Coming to accept this fact, he realized that he was not the only fanged predator out there, he also learned of a new type called "Elves".

He wishes he could go back to thinking he was human.

To leave behind his pain and past, he moved on in more ways than one, keeping only one memoir of his mother; her words "Life is precious". He changed his name to Kris, along with this change, he made a new life for himself.
