Did the meaning of :( change? I´m so confused.

Can someone explain something to me that I´ve noticed - I see more and more use :( when what they write is something good? especially in shipping vids, where it might say they´re so cute :( or look at the way Taehyun looks at Jungkook :( But why use the sad smiley? Did it´s meaning change? These are good things unless you´re one of the people under the illusion that 'oppa is mine', but I assume shipping vid creators are not among those... Please enlighten me, it makes me so confused!

@reddoll123 That could make sense :) it is kinda hard to accurately express yourself with smileys in my opinion since we might view their precise meanings differently. I've never used :( as anything other than negatively, so that's probably why your thought never occurred to me. Thank you for the reply^^

Hm I'd assume in that context ':(' would mean like 'oh they're so cute, I could cry'. Like :( would mean :').
