[ FASHION / STYLE ] Adrian is very into fashion and shopping, and tends to dress very well put together regardless of the occasion. He’s the biggest seducer. and His naturally alluring way of speaking really helps his cause. Adrian can make people feel special and important, like it’s an honor to have his attention because he’s so flattering.

Adrian is also an open-minded person who doesn’t care about labels or what is generally accepted. He’s not going to judge you or actively pick on you unless he’s just teasing, but that’s harmless. He’s a strange person himself, so obviously, he’s not going to have qualms against others for being themselves. He treats nearly everyone the same, except for those he really cares about or those he hates. the only people that fall under the hating category are those who can see right through him and call him out.

Humans are egotistical beings in his eyes, and until he finds someone he cares about who can show him differently, then he’ll continue to think that. Adrian lacks a lot of empathy for others. He can pretend to care if he feels like he should, but times, when he’s genuine are extremely rare. It takes a lot for him actually to feel anything like empathy towards you. You have to be worth it to him, prove you’re different because it's truly all about himself.

he only trusts himself so he's not close to many. Of course, he has friends or a front of friends that don’t mean that much to him because they’re for show. He does want to be close to someone, though in due time, like truly honest and close to someone. If he is close to someone and sees them as his equal, he would be very protective and warm to them, even a bit on the serious side to make sure no harm comes to this person.

Adrian is also very possessive of the things he feels belong to him and that includes people. the selfish boy wants everything to himself, all of the adoration and devotion. he's possessive and demanding of your attention. most of the time, he can play his possessiveness attention attitude off as a joke but in actuality, he's serious, very serious.. if you touch his things then his little playful façade will leave and he'll destroy you.

[ BACKGROUND ]

[ ELABORATION ] Adrian was born in Busan, Korea, to two very busy beta parents, a flight attendant and a physicist. Because of his parents demanding jobs that required lots of traveling, Adrian only lived in Korea for a little over the first year of his life to never really go back, spending the rest of his childhood and teenage years in various countries, but his true home was America.

His family lived in America the longest, placing their roots down in Houston, where his dad transferred for work at the scientific research center downtown. Adrian's parents had lived in America for a few years before Adrian was born, so they were already accustomed to the lifestyle, giving Adrian two names at birth, his Korean name, and his English name. Adrian fit in America well.

Even after moving numerous times to a few other countries for short lengths of stay, America felt the most natural for him. Houston is a big city and home to a plethora of cultural groups, so being a foreigner here was easy and comforting. Most of Houston's population were foreigners or families born of immigrants, so Adrian didn't really stick out. He was used to being by himself a lot considering his mother would go off to work for days and weeks on end with American Airlines as a flight attendant. She was always traveling the world, leaving Adrian with his father.

However, his father was also a busy man and frequented his job at the scientific research center. As one of the head physicists, Mr. Huang was a very busy man who didn't have a lot of time for his son. They showed Adrian love mainly through monetary means - bought him whatever he asked for to keep Adrian happy without their presence, and he grew up spoiled and without a lot of compassion. Adrian found himself lonely a lot. His parents didn't have time for him, and being an only child, he didn't have anyone else to play with.

It wasn't as if his parents were terrible people who purposely neglected their son, but their focused mindsets left Adrian alone more often than not. Considering Adrian was so young, his parents started worrying it was unsafe to leave him home alone (wow, they couldn't have decided that sooner?). In order to make sure Adrian was taken care of and had something to occupy his time, his parents talked to some of their neighbor friends who suggested putting him in some kind of lessons. Many of the kids in his neighborhood went to after school classes or programs of some sort and typically wouldn't come home until late. Well, that was ideal for his parents, considering his dad wouldn't be able to get off work until very late in the evening.

They gave Adrian many options on what to do, but ultimately, dance sounded the best. He had only seen people dance on tv once or twice and thought it looked fun and would be a good chance to get attention and make more friends outside of class. If his parents couldn't give him the attention he wanted, then he'd get it from dance class! Adrian focused all of his time and energy on dance class until he became one of the best in his academy.

He thrived under all the attention and praise, loving how all the kids thought he was so cool and wanted to be like him. the blossoming love of dance-filled his core, and Adrian continued to take lessons for years. The only thing he was earnest about was dancing and his passion for music. He dedicated his effort to become the best, to become someone to adore.

Adrian presented as a beta on his twelfth birthday, and to be honest. He hated it. It was obviously likely that this would be his secondary gender since both of his parents were betas, but Adrian had secretly hoped to be something else. Betas were so bland and boring in his eyes. They were the middle grounds. They weren't special, and Adrian was special. He should've been an alpha or even an omega, anything but a beta, but here he was presenting as such. Kids in his dance crew started looking at him differently because he was now a beta.

Yeah, he had been talented before, but he wasn't an alpha, so he couldn't command the stage as such. And this infuriated him. Adrian now had to work harder to show his skill and prove he was better than any alpha in the crew. This also translated over to the school, especially as Adrian entered high school. As a beta, he was expected to perform well in academics but wouldn't nearly live up to the alphas on sports teams and other physical areas.

Adrian made it his mission to be the best at everything, and by the end of freshman year, he had become one of the most popular kids in school. He was captain of the debate team, on the school dance team as a junior captain, one of the top ten percental in academics, and so on. Adrian was so worried about appearing bland and not enough because of his beta status, so being the best and most popular would leave no one wanting more.

He could be everything. His beta status wouldn't hold him back, so he believed. His after school dance crew members thought he was talented and used him as a center for many performances. Because he was also so good looking and charming, many fans of his from school would come to support his performances, hoping that they could get a chance for Adrian to notice them.

Other Asian-Americans at school would comment that Adrian looked like a 'kpop star,' which is how he learned about the genre to begin with, and of course, he enjoyed the compliments. He liked feeling wanted and needed, liked getting his way, and the obsessive feeling of attention. Adrian got that attention wherever he went. Adrian became a player for the most part with boys and girls alike of any secondary gender.

He slept around, partied, and used people for their love (not that he ever returned it, but the feeling was nice). It felt great and powerful to use others for their attention. He rarely committed, instead of taking many partners. The more partners, the more attention, right? he slept with everyone, hung out with tons of meaningless people just for them to worship him. His parents were still as busy as ever, the passing years changing virtually nothing. So Adrian found it elsewhere with his hookups. one hookup in particular, though, made him feel nearly normal and happy.

When Adrian was seventeen, a new teacher was hired at his dance academy. An alpha in his late twenties, Japanese-American Eric Nakamura. The man was handsome and skilled, and Adrian quickly became interested in gaining his attention. As one of the best in his dance crew, it didn't take much for eric to praise him. Adrian lived for all the recognition, but when eric complimented others in his class, it pissed him off.

Adrian wanted to be the best, wanted all the attention for himself. So he thought that if he were to pursue the older man, then he'd get all of the attention he wanted. Eric wouldn't have eyes for any other person. Even when he learned the man was married, that didn't matter to Adrian. It took nearly a month for Adrian to finally hook up with eric. The older man had failed to turn down Adrian's seductive advances, and the two began a turbulent relationship.

They saw each other for months, although Adrian wouldn't necessarily call the man his boyfriend, considering he also hung out with other people. They often hooked up Adrian, trying his best to please the man giving him so much attention, but Adrian was slowly becoming bored. He liked feeling desired, but this just wasn't enough. Eric wasn't enough for him. Adrian started to realize that when he and Eric hung out and even in the 'throws of passion,' Eric seemed distracted, less entranced by Adrian and distant, lost in his thoughts. Everything came to a head when Adrian spied Eric outside of the dance academy, kissing his omega wife goodbye.

Once she had left, Eric noticed Adrian watching and approached the younger, and to his shock, the older man broke things off with him for the very reason he had feared - because Adrian was a beta, and with his omega wife was better. Adrian was absolutely stunned. Yeah, he had been getting bored with Eric, but he hadn't expected the man to break up with him, especially since Adrian was planning on being the one to do that. People didn't break up with Adrian. HE broke up with THEM. But that day, Adrian's heart absolutely shattered, his pride completely ripped from his chest and instead worming dark insecurities in his chest from his beta status.

Adrian went home and cried for the first time in years. It wasn't because he was sad over the breakup but because he was a beta. Adrian's body would never match an omega. He physically couldn't be more than a beta, and no matter how hard he tried to be good at everything, in the end, his physiology was different. Adrian hated himself. He hated his status, hated Eric, hated everyone who made him feel lesser, inadequate. Suddenly Adrian felt too good for his dance crew, too good for his school, too good for his parents. He couldn't stay here. If he wanted to be the best and hide these insecurities in the dark black box inside his heart, then he needed to leave.

He remembered everyone comparing him to kpop idols and decided he would become one. No one would think he was inadequate as an idol. His beta status wouldn't mean . After graduation, Adrian informed his parents of his decision to move to Korea and audition for entertainment companies. Being the well-traveled individuals they were, they had no qualms. So Adrian packed his bags and left for Korea.
