Choi Daehyun had always been an independent individul. At a young age he learn how to do things on his own. He doesn't depend on anyone around to get to what he wants. He can't help that he a bit popular with the ladies who falls for his charms. Daehyun is perceptive and often knows when something is up or going on. He had always been observant and can notice a small changes that goes on. Daehyun has always been inquisitive especially in what he interested in like music and dancing. He likes to test out new things that different from the others. Daehyun had always been curious about the life and often question the true meaning of life. Reasons why he hates being stuck or held back from his capabilities cause he wants to find more what he can do and more the world can offer him. Surpringly, Daehyun affectionte when it comes to those he close with. He not afraid to show his affectionate towards people he enjoys spending time with. He  cares how they are doing and  be the one asking is there anything he can do for them. He loves skinship and not afraid to show it in public. He the member that gives fans what the want . Daehyun would hug, wrap his arm, even kiss if he could and his excuse was " Can't I show my love for you?" when members or friends question how affectionate he can be. Honestly Daehyun might be extreme despite it being showing his love. He also like seeing how over dramatic he can be and how much he can push their button with his affection. Daehyun has an ego. He knows he has talent and hates anyone who seems to question his ability. He not afraid of taking risk and challenges that comes his way. Honestly, doesn't care when people said he should humble himself but when he goods at something, he not going to be humble. He going to own up to it cause he didn't bust his to do something to get where he is to be humble.

Daehyun likes to keep it real and doesn't sugar coat anything especially when it comes to opinion of the matter. He may seem insensitive and heartless but he rather be straight up than being sweet about it which will only cause problems. One thing about Daehyun, he an impatient man. When he wants something, he wants it now. Life too short to wait and he hates wasting precious time. He hates wasting time and rather use that time into something that will matter and be useful for him. Daehyun loves excitment in his life and can easily get bored with everything often looking for a new to keep him entertain. He is impulsive, there no telling what he will do and this can give anyone a hard time when Daehyun straight up do something impulsive out of no where. Which often leads to keep an eye on him cause there no thinking what the boy will do once he has enough. He hates being boxed in, Daehyun needs his freedom. He will become irratable and rash towards those who holds him back which often question why is an idol when he can't even handle rules of being an idol. Honestly that just make Daehyun pissed cause that none of their business to be concern with. He hates when his creative ideas gets rejected and not afraid to voice his opinion on the matter even higher authority than him. Life about taking challanges and he not going anywhere if people are going to make him play it safe. When Daehyun see an opportunity, he goes all in and doesn't think about the consequences. It act now , think later. He can get himself in sticky situations as he doesn't plan or structure himself when he goes into anything. He goes in without a plan and see what life leads him.

Born on June 11, 1998  Choi Daehyun was born into the world. He was another little rich boy in Gangdam Seoul. Daehyun live the good life. He was  the middle child. He had an elder sister and younger brother with two parents who was barely ever home. His father was chief director of surgery for Seoul hospital and his mom is a reowned general surgern for the same hospital. Daehyun always known his parents first love is surgery than family. It always been like that. Countless time his parents would cancel and drop everything when they get called into surgery. When Daehyun was young he hated it. Daehyun parents were always busy so on days he actually get to spend time with them he loved it. When he was young, he would  steal their pager or phones to make sure his day with them won't be disturbed. He would always get into huge trouble when he hides them but he doesn't care. Serve them right for not paying any attention to him.  When his younger brother was born, he once question  why his parents having more children when they can't seem to take care his sister and him. Daehyun was a troublemaker or what other called him " Devil child" since he always up for no good.

Daehyun had always been the odd one the whole " I want to be a doctor" seem to skip him. Both his siblings wanted to be a doctor except Daehyun. He always love to sing, he would sing countless hours in his room playing his guitar when he was suppose to study. At the age of 12, Daehyun always wanted to be a popstar  when he one day discovered a video of Michael Jackson. Something about being a star sold him and  with his monthly allowance he signed himself to dance school without his parents knowledgement.  When he was required to get his parents signiture, he forged it in order to get himself enrolled. He loved it, everyday after school he would run to practic instead of going to after lessons that his siblings  were responsibily doing.  His parents never knew he was never going to his lessons until one day his sister rat him out  or more like they surprise his siblings by picking them cause for once they finished early that day and truth came out when they wonder where was Daehyun and his sister thought the trutth was going to come out eventually. He got into serious trouble , however it was poinltess to argue with Daehyun cause they know how he is and he wasn't going to do what he said.

Daehyun dream to become a singer never seem to die down, he never let anyone tear his dream down reason why he got kicked out his middle school and moved into another school randomly middle year cause some kid decide to make fun of him and Daehyun never been the type to  sit back and let them stack smack about him.  When he tranfered to his new school that where he meant Areum who always treated him like he meant something where he broke her and her trust. When Areum left the school, Daehyun was ashamed with himself and he could never forgive himself for hurting her. 

When Daehyun was 16, he was scouted in YG entertainment  when they were holding auditons. He skipped school that day for the audition and was automatically scouted into the company as a trainee where he began his journy to become an idol.

YG Entertainment [ 2014- 2019] 

Daehyun joined the company in flying colors. He was idol material as the judges had said as he got the looks and talent plus his unique vocals that different from others was a huge selling point for the company who fallen for his unique singing voice.. He was practically ready to debut but YG had no plans of debuting a boy group yet, but it was perfect chance to keep Daehyun and mold him into more of YG artist. Daehyun was a trainee to be reckon with. Daehyun  found trainee life a gamble but it pushed him harder to prove his worth in the company. He watch countless trainee come and go but never seem to phase Daehyun. Trainee life was somewhat an exciting thing for Daehyun since he was tired of his life he had and wanted to finally take his dream of being a singer in full force. Daehyun was a good dancer and was recognize by other trainee and trainers for his quicking picking up the dance routine. Plus his unique vocal when he sings was a bonus that makes him stand out from others. Fans of YG artist was quick to notice a potential future yg idol when they seen him multiple times as a back up dancers for few yg artist such as big bang and ikon. He was notice for his talent and good looks which seems to feed Daehyun ego.  He works hard everyday when he was a trainee.

Daehyun seem to got along with eveyone as he was sociable person. He was quiet popular among the ladies.  When news got out of a survival show that YG was producing there was no doubt that Daehyun was in show. That moment was meant for him to bust his off to get to debut. He made sure to stand out in the group. Daehyun made it to final line up but due to all the controversities that happen at the company. Treasure debut was pushed back which seem like years  for Daehyun who was impatiently waiting to debut. Daehyun was begining to doubt if he even wanted to debut in a company that he was begining to question with their name in a negative light and seeing how he kepted pushing his debut he kept threatening he wanted to leave cause it was unfair for him and the boys in the group. It eventually became clear that Daehyun didn't want YG to be the company he wanted to be under....he withinessed many thing in the compnay but kept to himself. He loved his boys but he knew this company was not meant for him. It was like someone was answering  his wish. 

In May 2019,  he decided to  terminate his contract with the company and left the group. He apolgized to his group and wished them nothing but the best. Of course they were hurt but they wanted to supported his choice. Daehyun was a free now and he was on search for a new company. When news broke out that former YG trainee left the company, countless companies reached out to him. What caught his attention  was  a scouter from  SLJK scouting him. Mandame Kang watched him on tv when he was on survival show and taught he was good potential for the group once she heard he left the company and quickly made her people contact him. It didn't take much convincing as Daehyun agree to be part of the program.

[ May 2019 - present ] 

When Daehyun joined the company, the former yg trainee  was right away recognized . Training at the program was no different than YG it was cut throat but he was use to it. He do admit it was more stricter and harder but he did what he to do to finally debut.  Everyday he worked his off with his other trainee , he got along with most of them, but he was  bit of a trouble maker in the group. Finding ways to sneak out of the dorm, often giving more Liam and other members heart attacks when he magically disappears and comes back with bags of convience food of snacks of all the members as his hush money. Works all the time. Daehyun doesn't do anything bad, he just like some alone time  occasionally and he can't always wait the day he has off. He often just go to the convince store and back to dorm, it often harmless plus he hush the members with food. It a win win situation and he never got caught even if he did. He knows how to talk his way out claiming he forgot something at the company and went to grab it and didn't want to disturb his manager or the fact he hush him with food too. When Daehyun was announced to be part of the final up, huge weight seem to lifted off his shoulder because deep down he wonder was leaving yg was a mistake but that day it was clear it was not at all as he was now going to debut.

✘ When Daehyun was introduced as part of the SLJK 's boy he was right recognized as Daehyun former YG trainee and former member of Treasure. Fans who followed him were estatic to see after he went under the radar when he left YG.

✘ Often sneaks out at nights, he doesn't really do anything. Daehyun just wants to have a moment to himself and he usually just walks to the convience store to grab snacks for s. However, there be times where he just goes on walks around the neighborhood , but he always come back with food as hush money for s and manager.

✘ When Daehyun was younger, he  would pick up stray animals  and takes them home. He grew up with 3 dogs and 2 cats. When his parents refuse anymore animals in their home, he would find homes for them.

Daehyun and his father doesn't really have the best of the relationship. It not the worst but it not the best. It been like that for years. His father first priorities is his job . He worked for years to get the position as chief of surgery in Seoul Hospital. Of course, his family have to understand. Kihyun expect his family to understand his job means everything, however he never understand how that impact his relationship with his children esp Daehyun. Kihyun is a stern man and expects everything to go his way cause he feels he knows what best. Kihyun missed countless of special moments in his children life, but when he does have time to spend. He does attempt to make it up on the time he does have to offer. Kihyun interest usually his children education  and hopes to have his children foud respectful jobs in the future. 2 out 3 children are planning to follow their parents path but only Daehyun choose to follow of path to be on stage. Kihyun always found Daehyun a trouble maker  and was furious when Daehyun wanted to be a singer. He thought it had to be a joke and expected him to quit as time went on. However, that never seem to be the case and Daehyun continued his path to be an idol. Kihyun saw himself in his son, defying others and does what he wants. He knows Daehyun will not stop till he get what he wants. When Daehyun  told the family he was going to debut, he still doubted  his path but he was willing to support  him on his son choice

Daehyun has a slightly better relationship with mothers. His mother like his father love her job and it is one of her top priorities which effected her relationship with her son. She does make an effort when she can to see her children. However she does a better job to come home at the end of the night to be with her childrens unless she called in for surgery. She be the parent who comes to school when Daehyun got in trouble during his middle school. When Daehyun told her about getting accepted to YG she was disaapointed in him and like her husband didn't accept his choice. Over time she learn to accept that her son not going to listen to no one as he does what he wants. She eventually accepted it and patiently waits to see where his choice will take him.

Sora  was the perfect child in their parent eyes. She was smart and beautiful who was striving to be just like her parents. She worked hard in school and was always number one in her year. Growing up Daehyun and Sora would constantly bicker to one another as Sora was actully another mother figure to Daehyun. Usually Sora in charge when both of them were left home, making sure the trouble maker does studying or at least stays out of trouble. Sora like her brother is blunt and doesnt surgar coat anything when she learn about this so called wanting to be an idol. She laughed and said it not really a worthful career. He the son that his parented wanted Daehyun to be , hardworking and kind also following the path to be a doctor. He was the only one supporting his brother dream even calling him cool to be able to do something that completely out of the norm.  When Daehyun has time to spare, usually his day off . He somehow manage to drag his brother out from  studying or his lessons and grab a bite with him. This is usually where Daehyun catch up with everything that goes in the house.  Hoseok would always cheer on his brother and claim he be number one fan. Hoseok had always been proud of his brother showing him off during his YG days and begging all his friends to vote for his brother. When he heard he was part of the program, he asked to get an autograph from Redvelvet' s Joy.

Minah and Daehyun have a love hate relationship. Minah always found him to be a flirtatious playboy or what she likes to call him a "Twinkie" . No one knows why she calls him, but it always make him pissed off when she screams across the room his nickname. They are known as " Tom and Jerry" often bickering on anything. Even breathing they act like its one of the most obnxious thing ever, the only reason when they act civil is when they with Areum. Minah and Areum are practically like sisters so Daehyun tolerates Minah. Ever since Minah found out about Daehyun did for Areum . He could never tolerate it and was often the one who drags Areum away or joins in. However once she saw Areum and Daehyun actually having feeling from each other. She  acts civil with him ( but she can be very passive aggressive with him) when she with Areum. They do have moments where seem like good friends but there are times where they muder each other any moment cause Daehyun loves to pushed and annoy the out of Minah.

Of course he lectured his , but Daehyun just laughed it off and gives him snacks and said he treat his to food on their days off. Daehyun could be one of the top members that in the baby sitting club despite being one of the oldest members but he always off doing something that he shouldn't. When Liam hiding under the cover of blankets in his studio , Daehyun purposely acts like he so tired and lays on top of Liam . When Liam screams to get off him , Daehyun acts dumb " What am I hearing? is that a ghost?" . yeah he loves teasing the heck out of Liam .

As member of the baby siting club these two are dangerous together.  Hana amuses Hana and he finds it hilarious seeing other members panicked when she suddenly disappears but he always seem to find her easily.  When Daehyun hears Liam scream out for Hana , in a manner of seconds he finds Hana doing god knows what or she in her own little world. Daehyun could be a pal and help out so when Liam ask if he saw her. He pretends he doesn't or forgot where he saw her when both know Liam knows Daehyun knows where she is and he being a little about it. When Daehyun do find her, he usually drags her to come to the convience store with him just so Liam and the baby sitters look for the two of them harder. Usually the two of them walks casually back to the practice room with bags of treat in their arms.

Daehyun still have a close relationship with his previous group mates. He was there for 5 years and was close to debuting with them. He has no hard feeling with them and they aren't mad for him leaving. Daehyun was happy when the group finally debuted and seeing the route they took in the music it was clear he would no fit in the theme of the group. They still keep in contact with one another and when they happen to be in the same variety shows or back stage. they arent strangers and quickly catch up. He always send them a group message that they still used to wish them best of luck in comebacks and they would wish him luck on his comebacks. Something about the program created the bonds for the boys that stronger than no other.  It did took awhile for Daehyun to come to this point but he does appreciate each of s and wish his group nothing but success. first meeting 

When Daehyun first met with Kihyun, all he could think about Paradox members are either short or tall their no between maybe a few but in eyes that what seems to be the point. Paradox was a group he looked up and all of them were talented  so he didn't really have a problem having anyone his mentor.   When he first met with his label mate it was during his introduction into the company.  Both GJSN and Paradox were at the practice room when he was introduce. Naturally, being a socialable guy he is got to known everyone . He never really got to know Kihyuk until he had to pick who he want as a mentor. Kihyuk was one of the best vocalist in the group so when Kihyun was chosen from his coin tossed between him and Zukuro.  Daehyun played it off thinking, it made sense since he also main vocal too for the group.  When Kihyuk was choosen for him, he slipped out of practice, and burst into Paradox room to announce his mentor is Kihyuk. Of course he got some trouble for disturbing , but Daehyun laughed it off claiming he couldn't wait and wanted him to know.

Surpringly the two of them do get along despite Daehyun teasing nature. Daehyun respects Kihyuk and doesn't take his time with him for granted. Kihyuk been a great mentor towards Daehyun  teaching and giving him tips. Since they are born on the same year, Daehyun not really formal with him so he treats Kihyuk like a friend. Daehyun for some reason calls Kihyuk " KiChi" because of his love for kimchi and found it amusing how that boy loves kimchi. When Daehyun spots Kihyuk anywhere, he would swing his arm around him and calls out his nickname before dragging him to the studio

love story 

The two met during their middle school years. Daehyun tranfered over to  her class that year.  Daehyun was a popular right away, all the girls had a crushed over him and guys wanted to be his friend. Areum caught his attention when he notice her being left out of her group conversations. She was timid and shy when he introduced himself . He honestly found it interesting as her behavior reminds him of a puppy, making him want to keep interacting with her. At first Areum was curious why Daehyun keeps talking to her but for some reason he always seems to want to talk to her. 

Over time in the school year, Daehyun and Areum got close spending their free time together in school. Areum found herself slowly getting attached to the other male. Daehyun was different from the rest of the people around her. She knew they werent her friends but Daehyun she finlly felt happiness and a true friendship. The two often hung out, they were insperable until the first year of high school. It was clear Areum had feeling for Daehyun and poor Areum often get led on by daehyun . Things went for the worse when Areum was looking for Daehyun, cause he promised her to go see a disney movie that came out with her after school. As she was walking by, she stumbled upon him with his other friends in the classroom joking around. One of his friend happen to ask " Why are you friends with Areum? " cause everyone knows you friends with her cause she fility rich and she so easy to bully around. Areum wanted to interupt but before  she could say anything , the firsd that came out of her first love mouth broke her heart. " I don't know," he laughs " I was bored  and she was a perfect toy when I'm done I can just toss her away." 

Daehyun never knew the damaged he caused Areum when she suddenly ignored him, purposely avoiding him until one day when one of her bully took it far in class. He never say Areum upset in her life till that day where she exploded in class. He tried to calm her down and when he tried to reach out . Daehyun could never forget the look of betrayal when she called him out and said  "  I am not a toy! I am a human being!" , Daehyun was lost in words and the teachers had to pull Areum out.  Her outbreak made him realize he lost the one person who taught he was speacial and support him.  Daehyun tried to contact Areum since that day but he never a got response until the next day in class it was annouced she going to be study abroad. He never saw Areum or even  got a chance to apoligize to her.  Daehyun tried his bestg to find ways to get in contact with her even going to her home to ask for her. He had no luck that was until one faithful day the two met again .

It was the last month SLJK was accepting trainee. All trainee were called into a room . Daehyun taught it was  the usual  evalulations until mandame Kang came in with a small familir walked into the room. He felt someone punched air out of his body when he saw Areum nervously walking into the practice room and he coudln't help himself and called out her name . When Areum realized the person who was her first love  and one who betrayed her. She quickly acted like she didn't know him even after the introduction and him running towards her with so many questions. She  continues to ignore him as she was feeling too much emotions and doesn't know what to do. Like why would she talked to him  she was not in the mood to be a toy to help his boredom. 

Daehyun was never the type to give up and he was determine to make things right with her. Areum continues to run away until the boys and girls were going to have a partner with the opposite for a performance evalulation and her luck she was partner with Daehyun.  Only Daehyun was delighted  when the couple was paired up and the first thing he did when Areum was force to be alone with was apologizing to his former friend.  Seeing Daehyun apologize,  she eventually forgave him and both agreed to start as friends again. 

The two slowly began rebuilding their friendship and Daehyun worked his best to earn his trust again. It was a challange but the two slowly began act like there before. Having them paired up was the best thing for them. They spend their spare time together practicing their performance until that day. Their performance  was going to be aired as part an online performance and their performance took a storm when the dur perform Taeyang " Eyes Nose Lips" 

Since that memorable performance, the two were  acting like old times. During their breaks and days off they would hang out usually in practice room. When Areum was struggling to keep up with dance especially when she was placed in Sweetz. Daehyun would stay behind  and helped her out.  he always helped her out in the best way he can even when she going through her depression  and anxiety attack. He would pull her into his arm and hold her, often telling her encouraging words. Areum appreciated Daehyun and know that he change to a better man and was happy they have a strong relationship now and that she can trust him this time. 

Both knew they had feeling for each other since their performance together but no one ever said anything. Areum was scared she would get hurt again and decide to keep her feeling to herself however  he felt the same for her. He never knew how much Areum means to him since the day she  left his life and  he coudln't risk loosing her again. Her walking passed those practice door was a second chance given to him .Daehyun felt  Areum would never like him that way....yet. He was planning on winning her over no matter what even despite he was going to debut as an idol he was still determine to make her his.

The two of them been insperarble and close. It was not until their offical debut when Daehyun wanted to make Areum his officaly. It was obvious those two had feeling for each other, but the two never admit to it. Areum was struggling with online who constantly tear her apart with her dancing skills and it was effecting her. Daehyun watch the girl he love spirling down  and all he could do was support her. He wished he could do something about the haters, but all he can do was be by her side and remind her how amazing she is. He planning when Areum finally gets to a better mental state to asked her to be his girl,  but for now he wants to be by her side and help her get better.

✘ Ever since junior high, Daehyun called Areum  " Puppy" cause she cute and acts like a puppy when she with him. Areum calls Daehyun " Kitty" cause they are pretty much opposite attract and would be the least likley to be friends. Plus Daehyun reminds her of a cat so to make it cute she calls him kitty.

✘ Daehyun usually grabs Areum  her favorite snacks  and gives it to her during practice and if he realling ballsy, he would go to the girls dorm just to hand her the treats he got her

✘ Daehyun fears to ruin Areum trust again, especially now he realize his feeling for her. He catious never to make her upset.

✘ Areum gave him a friendship bracelet of with their initials and Darehyun still cherish his bracelt. In fact when Areum enter the program, he started wearing the bracelet again to show he really want their friendship to work this time. He eventually convinced  Areum to wear her bracelt or he would sulk all day. 

✘ Areum often in the middle when Minah and Daehyun bicker. It pretty much who has custudy over Areum.

✘ When Areum was struggling   during practice with dance, Daehyun always one of the few who would stay with her and help her master. He would even learn the dance move so he can help her out

✘ Daehyun still hates himself for ever hurting  Areum  back then.

✘ Areum claims she likes seeing Daehyun face  and  would personally tie his hair into one pig tail  during practice and Daehyun doesn't seem to mind it .

✘ When they started dating,  their dates usually consits of studio or in the practice room eating take outs . 

✘ Daehyun and Areum sneak out to do nigh strolls around the neighborhood. If they ever feel someone spot them, Daehyun usually picks her off and darts off running.

✘ During a comeback, Areum was struggling so Daehyun " borrowed" Minah heels and claim he going to help her practice with hells on.
