APPEARANCE

despite his tall height, soohyun is soft and squishy with chubby cheeks and plush lips. two of the most adorable things that soohyun has are his dimples and the way the corners of his mouth turn upwards like a cat.

his body is toned from school sports like soccer and basketball, but he's not too muscular; just the right amount of muscles. his skin is a healthy color, a shade darker than peach, that brings out the pink color of his lips.

soohyun's hair, naturally black, has only had the minimal dying like brown highlights to brighten up his normally boring hair (says seunghwan). soohyun is totally open to dying it though.

his ears are pierced once in each lobe, but he barely wears piercings, only putting them in when needed to keep them from closing. he has no tattoos either (cause he a baby).

soohyun is a good boy at heart, which corresponds with his fashion sense as well.

BACKGROUND

soohyun was born into the bae family on may 5th, 2000 and he was well loved. considered a miracle baby, as his mother had several complications during his birth, that it was definitely a surprise that he was healthy baby from the get-go.

he had a older sister and cousin that liked to take care of him. despite the age differences, they were always there for him to babysit or to play with him. they never left him out of their conversations, even when he was too young to form coherent sentences, they always included him.

as school progressed, it was easy to see that lil soohyun was a genius when it came to his studies. he soaked up knowledge like a sponge and had a talent for acing his tests and assignments. his parents praised him for it and soo soohyun continued to please them because he loved the praising. and soohyun grew under praise.

other than studying, it was quick to notice that he had another hobby. as he grew up, he never quite grew out of his following his sister and cousin around like a duckling. they spoiled him with their attention and so he always seeked them out. and whatever the two did, soohyun was close behind them and doing the same thing.

so when his sister and cousin began singing lessons, soohyun wanted to do it too. and his parents, who never denied their son of what he wants, let him follow them. with his ability to soak up the things around him, he quickly latched onto whatever his sister and cousin learned about.

and it didn't take long for the family to notice the boy's voice. sweet vocals that came out of nowhere, it became a thing for the family to have soohyun sing for them on the ocassion to hear him sing. but did soohyun want to have a career in singing like his cousin always talked about? he didn't know.

soohyun continued his studies, becoming a top student at a young age, while his sister began looking into vocal training and his cousin into idol training. he was always there to hear them talk about their trainings, his cousin's stories always seeming interesting to soohyun's young mind.

bae saetbyeol or also known a byulyi or celeste (her working name) is a rising vocal coach. the two have a six year , but they are still close despite them being total polar opposites. saetbyeol is a beastly beauty with one heck of a sailor mouth.

but she is very protective of her baby brother, always by his side when he needs her. she knows how much work soohyun puts into his studies and now that he's proceeding with being an idol, he gets stressed easily. so she's always there, she's on speed dial, will always drive to wherever he is just to help him destress.

saetbyeol was right by soohyun's side when he told their parents he was going to accept the modeling offer. she was there when he was transferred to sm. she was there when he left sm to woollim. she was even there when he finally settled down at pledis.

along with seunghwan, they've taught soohyun how to sing. it started out as a simple hobby that turned into a dream.

bae seunghwan, or more popularly known as sean of x2, is soohyun's cousin from their father's side. just like with saetbyeol, seunghwan is definitely a polar opposite of soohyun. seunghwan is loud while soohyun isn't. seunghwan is sassy and savage while soohyun just wants to study to make his parents proud.

seunghwan is a free creature, but also wears his heart on his sleeve, spewing all kinds of romance ideals and proclaimations of love.

but much like saetbyeol, he was just as protective of soohyun like his sister. as someone whose studied taekwondo for ten years, he's not afraid to kick someone's if they dare hurt his baby cousin.

seunghwan is who inspired soohyun to persue being an idol and he never lets soohyun forget it.

cousin's group

also known as times two, is a five membered boy group under starx corp that debuted back in 2016  with their debut song lollipop. they are considered underrated to the kpop scene, but the group is still thriving (probably because of seunghwan).

soohyun has met the members of his cousin's group a handful of times, by themselves and when all together. he isn't super close to the group individually due to most of the members being much older than him, but seunghwan has a groupchat of his group, his sister, and of him so they can all check in on soohyun.

is it suffocating? yes. but does he hate? no.

despite haechan (or donghyuck as he likes to call him more) having just debuted in nct when soohyun transferred to sm, he met him through the halls of sm on coincidence, donghyuck running into him in a hurry.

it wasn't until sometime later that donghyuck went looking for the 'tall, handsome baby-faced trainee' that he ran into to apologize. obviously, soohyun accepted his apology, but donghyuk insisted he buy him bubble tea (or guilt trip mark into buying them both bubble tea) and they soon exchanged numbers.

most tend to not realized that they are both the same age, with soohyun being super tall for his age and their personalities being opposites as well. soohyun enjoys donghyuck's little clingy tendencies and his phone is always open to him whenever he wants to rant about s being annoying and such.
