— Jaelin stands at 167cm (5'5") and she weighs 49kg(110lbs.) Jaelin isn't really considered a visual. She's pretty obviously. She's got pale skin that's blemishless, a round-shaped face, dark brown  eyes, and a slim figure that she is good at maintaining. She's slim which makes for good looking dancing. She has taken good care of her teeth and nails, so outwardly she is pretty. Not stunning, but pretty. 

Her hair changes quite often, but at the moment, her hair is short, cut to her shoulders, and bleached blonde. She has a stud piercing in her left nostril and a tattoo of a saxaphone on her inner arm. Her ears are also both double pierced.

General:

Jaelin has a darker style of clothes. She loves anything in black, white, grey, or brown. But she will toss in the occasional dark red, blue, or green. She loves tight fitted clothing like long sleeve shirts and skinny jeans. She loves jackets and sneakers. She doesn't like flashy jewelry, just the small stuff like thin bracelets and chain necklaces.

She doesn't like really bright colors or ruffles or floral patterns. She's not really into sun dresses or frilly anything. She doesn't like pastels either. In terms of make-up, she sometimes goes for a more natural look, but she enjoys dark eyes and if she does a natrual eyes, she enjoys a dark lip color.

Obviously, being an idol means that there are a lot of style choices that the atrists don't get to make, and Jaelin has already come to terms with that. She will wear whatever the concept and embrace it as best she can.

Bold - The first thing people note about Jaelin is that she doesn't really hold back. She has a need to expirience everything there is to expirience and she doesn't mind stepping out of her comfort zone to attain those things. She's not fearless, but courageous.
Original - Tradition and expectations are secondary to her, if she ever really considers those things at all. She loves to expriment with new styles, new foods, new friends, and is contantly looking for ways to stick out from the crowd. 
Practical - For Jaelin, the world is made to be felt and expirienced, Truth for her is stranger than fiction and she prefers to actually see and do things rather than get philisohpical and spend time thinking about the "what-if's." 
Observant - She has so much focus on the here and now, on the present, that she rarely misses things. She is always aware of the things and people around her that she is privy to even the smallest changes in her enviornment. 
Social - Jaelin loves to pay attention to people and be around them. She is talkative, witty, and she will never run out of things to talk about. She really get happiness and satisfaction from the time she spends with people and the memories she creates with them. 

Optimistic - Jaelin doesn't really have a voice in her head that tells her things could go wrong or to be weary around new people. She sees the best in the world and in the people she befriends. She has a solid foundation of finding solutions and being a voice of positivity. Unfortunately though, that's not always a good thing and she has been known to have her head buried in the clouds. 

Sensitive - Jaelin has a big heart and wheres it on her sleeve, but that does mean she lives her life in a vulnerable way and is prone to reacting emotionally to teasing or criticism. She takes a lot of thing very personally. This does tend to get in the way of her working on her other weaknesses and is definitely an obstacle to her own self growth. 
Avoids Conflict - She hates fighting, arguments, you name it. She does pretty much whatever she can to duck out of those situations and move onto something more fun. She is very evasive and won't fight if she doesn't have to. If she feels like she has no choice, it will always be ugly with tears and yelling. Like a tear-cano just waiting to erupt. 
Easily Bored - Without constant excitement, she tends to get restless and flustered, so she will try and create her own. She always says that she would rather be in pain than be bored because than at least something was happening. And she will always loudly declare that she's not having a good time whenever it happens. 
Zero-Forethought - She rarely makes long-term plans for the future, the only exception being anything related to her debut. For Jaelin, things come as they come, and she hardly worries about laying out specific steps or worrying about consequences. She believes things have a way of changing even when you makes plans so she always goes with the flow. 
Unfocused - Things that require long-term uninterupted focus are really challenging for Jaelin. She finds those things tedious and would much rather be doing something a little more freeing. Such as she really loves her vocal training and her rap training specifically and has an easier time focusing on that, but her dance training and dieting are things she has trouble focusing on and sticking to.

Jaelin was growing up with music and performing from the time she could hold a toy microphone in her hand. Her mother worked in the music industry as a well known choreographer and producer, while her father worked as an instrumentalist. She doesn't have any siblings, so when it came to what she was going to do when she got old enough, it was always something in the music industry, no question. 

Where her parents were more the production side, pretty early, she showed signs of wanting to perform, actually be on stage. There were many different ways they could go with that dream, but they sort of put that on hold when she started school and started making friends. They still cared about her doing well in school in case she decided to officially take a step back from the industry and wanted to do something else. 

Well, an audition came her way when she was seventeen. She had already had expirience performing and had some vocal and rap training under her belt so the audition process went evtremely well for her. Her parentage was also a factor in her acceptance. Her parents thought it was actually the best idea as she would get to train and still go to school. 

She moved to a trainee dorm and tranferred to a school in Seoul so she could live there full time as an idol trainee and still attend classes, which she did end up gratudating with good marks all around.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that these two are best friends. They met at the beginning of high school, said some snarky things to each other, and that was that. He doesn't really understand the idol thing, but he figures to each their own. He thinks she seems dedicated enough and he knows that she may have some added pressure because of her parents. He just hopes she finds whatever it is she is looking for out of the industry and hopes she comes out of it in one piece. 

The two pretty much communicate through sarcasm and snark. They enjoy teasing each other but will be there for the other if push comes to shove. They mostly text at this point as Jaelin is incredibly busy at the moment.

Jaelin considers herself lucky that she has them as parents, though their continued success in the industry does put some pressure on her to succeed as well, which is why she has always prioritized music over schooling. 

Despite the pressure, both of her parents are loving and supportive and really down to earth. They appreciate their daughter finished school and are excited to hear of her upcoming debut. They aren't surprised that she was chosen to represent her cmpany and look forward to her work. 

Jaelin hopes to work with them professionally at some point.

Jaelin is still adapting to the new set-up and getting comfortable around these girls she hasn't met. Mingxia is one of them. Thankfully, Jaelin isn't afraid to be social and step out of her comfort zone so she immediately tries to befriend these girls. If they were gonna work together, they should try and gain some synergy. 

She has done her best to be nothing but kind to the RBW represenative, and hopes that she made a good impression. There is a slight language barrior but she knows actions will eventually speak louder than words.

Most people know that these two are best friends, but most don't know that there are actually three of them and Jaelin fits right in the middle. When you spend enough time getting to know someone, doesn't really matter which direction you go, you just end up staying close. That's how Jaelin feels about these two. The three of them trained together for awhile before the two of them were selected to debut. Though the two went on without her, the three still remained a team. She wasn't selected for her company's next gril group either, but the two of them are overjoyed to hear that Jaelin is finally getting her debut.

what was their trainee life like? How long were they a trainee?

— Jaelin considers her trainee life pretty normal if she's being honest. She lived in Seoul not too far from the training building, so she had easy access to it. Though she had to spend a lot of time figuring out how to balance her training with school. Right up until she graduated she struggled with it. 

Though she walked in with some vocal expirience, she showed an aptitude and/or knack for rapping almost off the bat. She has an interesting tone and a style that she developed that's definitely uniquely hers. Her charisma as a rapper was focused on and developed. She still took vocal training, but she for the most part was rap focused and created. 

She's not main dancer material, but she is a good idol dancer. She worked hard on her technique, cleaning it up, and always tried to add her own style to whatever she was given. She's not the cleanest or sharpest dancer, but she does have a flair and a well developed stage presence. 

She was generally well liked by her fellow trainees, though you obviously can't get along with everyone. 

She was deemed unfit for CLC's debut, but there was talk about her maybe being a part of (G)I-DLE, but ultimately it was decided that the they already had a very strong female rapper and didn't need another one, so she was passed over once again.

She's been a trainee for almost six years. 5 years and 9 months. 

What company is she under? What was her reaction hearing that she was chosen? How did she feel, knowing she was chosen over her teammates?

— Jaelin is under CUBE Entertainment. 

If Jaelin is being completely honest, she wasn't surprised to be the one chosen as CUBE's artist. Her audition went really well and she felt like out of all the trainees she attended with, she wanted it the most. She had already been passed up twice for debut and has been hungry for it. She respects her fellow trainees, but is ultimately acting the best interests of her own career. 

When Jaelin's name was announced, there were a lot of emotions. Genuine happiness over getting to debut, getting to tell her parents she was debuting, and being chosen by her fellow trainees. She felt a little bad leaving them behind, but she is confident that they will get there eventually. A gigantic smile painted her features and her whole demeanor became more confident. She strode up to her place with the other six chosen with pride.
