Personality:
When you first meet Lina, you might think she's a little stoic. Maybe she's angry? Or not friendly? Fortunately, none of those are correct. It's just her face! Like this, Lina is often misunderstood. She's quiet and isn't the type to stay out late with friends. She'd much rather spend most of her free time practicing or composing. Her dream is to compose a full album, and will often become furstrated if something comes between this dream. Unfortunately, she doesn't have a lot of emotional intelligence and isn't so good at communicating. She doesn't know how to show her frustration, therefore she will keep it all to herself and remain emotionless.
Her emotionless expression, even when she's not angry, is what gets her into awkward situations. Well, it's more like Lina who makes things awkward. Sometimes when she's called out, even if it's a simple question, she doesn't know how to react and will sort of blank out again. Her friends, family and members often for this, which she usually plays along with. She sometimes uses this to her advantage and is sometimes sarcastic.
Background:
Lina is the youngest in her family and only has 1 older brother. Her father is a doctor and her mother was a school teacher. Because of her dad's busy schedule, she didn't see him often and spent more time with her mom. However, Lina still recognizes how hard her dad works and loves him. Lina's brother is only 18 months older than her, therefore they have a close relationship.
From a young age, Lina had always enjoyed singing and music. She bagan piano lessons at the age of 5. She also often participated in school shows and musicals. From this, Lina always knew she wanted to sing for a career. Her mother encouraged Lina to fulfill her dreams. Her father, however, was always less encouraging. He had wanted his children to follow in his footsteps and become a doctor. But since he was rarely home, it was hard for him to stop her, especially since his
During her pre-teen years, she discovered korean music. Her favorite groups had been Girls Generation and Apink. She knew she wanted to join a korean enterntainment company. When she was 14, she auditioned in the the JYP global audition and got in on her first try. Her father was originally against it, but Lina was persistent and promised him that she would still focus on school whilte training. She then joined JYP Entertainment in 2014. However, she only trained there for 3 years. It was often for trainees to be transferred around. Lina had been transferred to Play M Entertaiment. Although other trainees who were also transferred were discouraged, Lina was a little discouraged but overall happy because she was in the same company as Apink.
Coming to Korea intially was a little hard. But JYP entertainment had other Chinese trainees that helped her learn Korean and the Korean culture. Therefore, when she transferred to Play M entertainment, where they didn't have as much Chinese trainees, it wasn't as scary.

Zhou Li Wei is a surgeon in Shanghai, China with his own practice. Because of his demanding job, he wasn't home as often when Lina was younger. He originally wanted both of his children to follow in his footsteps and become doctors to one day take over his practice. But he soon realized that he had no control over his children's dreams. Li Wei is a strict, yet kind man. He was very much the type of dad to give his children "tough love".
ZHANG LI MEI / MOTHER
Li Mei is a school teacher. She adores her children and wishes for them to follow their own dreams. She was always very encouraging when Lina wanted to become an idol. She saw how much Lina loved to sing and dance as a young child. She was never too strict with her children, but always expected them to have good manners and work their hardest in everything that they do.
ZHOU LI JUN / OLDER BROTHER (fc: Hendery)
Li Jun is Lina's older and only brother. He is older than Lina by 18 months, so they had a close relationship while growing up. Li Jun also enjoyed to sing and dance as a child. He and Lina would host little performaces for their family when they were children. Li Jun never wanted to become an idol, however. He become nervous when in front of large crowds and didn't want too much public attention on himself. He is currently in university in China, studying to follow in his father's footsteps and become a doctor.
SHIN RYUJIN / FRIEND
During Lina's trainee years at JYP Entertainment, she became really close to Ryujin. Ryujin's tomboyish personality matched well with Lina's sarcastic humor. Ryujin also helped Lina learn Korean.
