Personality

+Positive: Creative, Optimistic, Independent, Quirky
-Negative: Moody, Daydreamer, Shy, Cautious

At first, Oh Eun Mi was a shy person and a real big loner because how her mother would isolate her from other children to train her. She started to have trust issues when she would hear people at school talk about how she was a loner behind her back. So that was how she became cautious of people. However, when she started to rebel against her controlling mother near the end of her senior year of middle school that was when she would try to connect with others in her class. She wouldn’t be able to make many friends since it was the last year of middle school be it made her senior year better. In high school, she was able to open up a bit while attending this school, but she was still a shy person. She is the type of person that needs time to recharge her social battery by being by herself either before or after an event. So there are times; mostly during her free time; she would just go off by herself to recharge. Most of the time she's in the nearest ice skating rink just freestyle ice skating to recharge and clear her head. Another thing she does sometimes is to take a walk while listening to music.

But after meeting and becoming friends with an extrovert in her first year of high school their traits kinda rubbed off on her and that is how she became known as a social introvert. (A/N: I know its such a paradox. But I just realised a few days ago that this is me. More about it here: 1, 2) She like doing social activities it’s just her social battery isn’t as big or as long-lasting as an extrovert. She gets most of her energy by being by herself and then herself in pretty much any social gathering and has fun while her energy last which isn’t that long. She had to learn to build up her mental energy so she can interact with different people such as her fans. Even though she’s made many improvements her social battery still  and is seen as kinda moody interact with people such as when she's in interviews she would act animatedly, particularly when she is passionate about the subject matter. However, she’ll suddenly change, either disappearing or becoming withdrawn, usually because she’s had enough and needs to focus or recharge. She’s very creative, the type of person that would think of the most unique ways of solving problems. Even though it takes a while for her to get up in the morning and fully wake up for the day her optimism would take over and would look forward to what the new day would bring her.

Background

Oh Eun Mi’s parents met in Busan, South Korea when her mother Li Chang Ying just moved from China to work at the sister company in South Korea and met Oh Beom Seok. After that met they fell in love and got married. Her mother continued to work until she got pregnant and that was how Oh Eun Mi came to be. When Eun Mi was born her mother quit her office job to stay home and live as a housewife to look after Eun Mi. Everything was fine as Eun Mi was growing up but when she was 6 years old that was when their family moved from Busan to Seoul because her father was offered a higher paying job there. They ended up moving into a house that was a bit further out from the CBD since it was cheaper and he didn’t mind the travel to and from work. Since they were close to an ice skating rink Eun Mi’s mother wanted to go check it out and brought her daughter along. The mother and daughter ended up having fun as Eun Mi’s mother taught her daughter the basic of ice skating and Eun Mi bonding with her mother. After a while, her mother signed her daughter up for skating lessons and Eun Mi would go to these lessons after school.

Over the years Eun Mi’s mother would be strict with Eun Mi’s skating lesson and would try to control other parts of her life like what she ate, isolating her daughter from other students at the school so her daughter wouldn’t get distracted from her skating lesson. After a while, her mother would sign her daughter up to train like a figure skater. But for Eun Mi, she just wanted to make her mother proud. As Eun Mi grew up her mother became distant and would only care about how her daughter was training on the ice. Her mother slowly took over training her daughter in hopes that Eun Mi would be able to compete and she could live the dream that she wasn’t able to through her daughter. At first, Eun Mi would practice hard and would try her best just so she could be praised by her mother but would never receive it. It was around her later years of middle school when Eun Mi would either tur up late to practice saying that she had homework to do or was kept back at school just so she wouldn’t have to get on the ice and watched like a hawk by her mother. Her mother would yell at her for coming to practice late even after she told her mother that she was focusing on keeping her grades up. Eun Mi’s father wasn’t home that often but he could tell that there was tension between Eun Mi and her mother. He found out that Eun Mi’s mother was training their daughter to the extreme. Her parents would start having arguments which slowly escalated into full-on fights. Her parent’s relationship turned sour. It was during one of these fights that Eun Mi overheard that her mother was training to be a figure skater in the past but due to being “cocky” (she didn’t specifically word it that way) that an accident happened that ended her figure skating career before it even started. “So you put my daughter into extreme torture, labelling it as ‘training’. Just so you can live your dream life through her” her father yelled as they continued to fight and Eun Mi just closed her door and tried to block it out. She would just put her headphones in and listen to music which was a mix of dance music and popular pop music from either the US or UK, anything to block out her parents screaming. After that refused to step on the ice while she was living with her parents.

Soon she started high school and met an energetic and bubbly girl named Lee Yeo Jin. They began talking and who became best of friends. She was introduced to people that Yeo Jin went to middle school with. She tried to open up to more people since she was tired of not having friends in school and decided that high school is a fresh start. Yeo Jin was the one that introduced her to 1MILLION Dance Studio. Eun Mi at first Eun Mi decided that she would just go along with Yeo Jin but after dancing herself she loved it and would join Yeo Jin after school to these dance lessons. There she really got into Hip Hop and dance music which also lead her to learn and experiment rap. Meanwhile, Eun Mi’s mother would try to get her daughter back on the ice but Eun Mi would shut her down and tell her “This is my life, mum. Not yours. Mine! And I am done with you pulling the strings so you can live the life that you never had. Back then That was your stupid mistake so live with it” Eun Mi finally stood up for herself and spoke her mind. Which royally pissed off her mother and would verbally abuse her but Eun Mi would just block it out since she was so over it by this point. Even though her father isn’t home that often she sees her father as the only person that really cared about her. She vowed that she would not step on the ice while she lived with her controlling mother. Which was ashamed since she did like ice skating but felt like becoming a figure skater wasn’t the right path for her.

It was around the second year of high school that her father found out that Eun Mi’s mother was seeing another man which was pretty much the breaking point for him. After a few weeks both her parents finally got a divorce and her father gained custody. After the divorce, her mother went off with her new lover. Eun Mi’s father was heartbroken but at least he still had Eun Mi. So both the father and daughter moved on with their lives and her father tried to be a bigger part of Eun Mi’s life. It was straight after her high school graduation that it was time to ice skate again and for fun this time. So that is what she did so she invited Yeo Jin to join her for ice skating and the two stepped on the ice, fooled around and fell over together which helped Eun Mi remember how fun skating was. Eun Mi pursued her new love for dance and continued with dance training with 1MILLION Dance Studio even after she graduated high school. It was around the three-year mark that some of the dance teachers suggested that she try auditioning at a trainee company. Seeing as she had nothing to lose be tried out for SM entertainment which he didn’t get. She then tried for BigHit Entertainment which he also didn’t get. She tried out for Play M Entertainment next and passed.

Relationships

Oh Beom Seok / FATHER / FC: Ahn Nae Sang
Oh Beom Seok, Eun Mi’s father is a very family-oriented man. He love’s his family so much and wished that he was able to spend more time with his family. But he knows that he needs to work to support his family. When he saw how his wife was treating his daughter he was heartbroken since his wife had changed so much when he wasn’t around. It got to the point that he would dread coming home because he knows that he and his wife would argue and fight. But he had to because he wanted to be close to his daughter. What sent him over the edge was when he found out his wife cheated on him which is what finally lead him to file a divorce. Once that was all over he would try his best to be a bigger part of his daughter’s life but working less and changing his work schedule. He supports whatever path his daughter wants to follow.
Li Chang Ying / MOTHER / FC: Qian Jie
At first she was a loving mother but after she took her daughter to the ice skating rink near their new house something clicked in her brain. After signing her daughter up for ice skating lessons then lessons to become a figure skater she grew cold and distant. Through her twisted vision, she saw her daughter as a sort of second chance. She started to live her figure skating dream through her daughter and hoped that her daughter would become professional. She couldn’t become a figure skater herself because she was arrogant, impulsive and stupid in her younger years which ended her figure skating career before it even started.
Lee Yeo Jin / FRIEND / FC: Park Yoo Na
They both met in high school and sat next to each other in the first class. Lee Yeo Jin being her extroverted self started talking to Eun Mi and from that day on the two stuck together like glue. Since she was an extrovert and Eun Mi was still a shy introvert Yeo Jin ‘adopted‘ her. She introduced Eun Mi to others that went to the same middle school as her. Even though Eun Mi got to know and be friends with others while at high school she sees Yeo Jin as being the closest. When she found out that Eun Mi that finally she is romantically interested in Yeo Jin’s first reaction was to squeal and be excited. She thought that it’s about time that happened.
The Lover: Hao Yuan Jun

Face-claim: Luo Yunxi
Back-up: Xiao Zhan

Personality: Hao Yuan Jun is a bright, bubbly and cheerful person that can be friends with just about anyone. He is also hardworking especially when he tries to balance his uni life, work-life and social life. He is a sweet person and protective of his friends and the person he likes/loves. But he also can be a worrywart, worrying about a lot of things like his uni assignments and trying to keep his grades up, also is the degree that he gets after graduating would it get him the career he wants and other stuff in the future. There are times where he wonders if he’s gonna be alone for the rest of his life. Relationship wise he is a hopeless romantic. When Eun Mi is with him she finds that he is a person that is easy to talk to and would make her forget about whatever’s troubling her.

Background: When Eun Mi was just settling as a trainee at Play M Entertainment she would still visit the local ice skating rink to destress and clear her head from all the responsibilities as a trainee. One time after dance practice ending early she decided to go to the ice skating rink. Since she left her ice skate shoes at home she went up to the shoe hiring area and met a new face. It was a guy that was learning how everything worked. Since it was quiet at the rink on that particular day she decided to strike up a conversation with him as he was searching for her shoe size. She learnt that his name was Hao Yuan Jun and that he only started a couple of days ago. She put on her skates and started freestyle skating on the ice like she usually does to destress. (x – short snip of her messing around on the ice) While she was doing her thing on the ice Yuan Jun watched her in amazement. Sure he saw many awesome figure skater in the couple of days that he worked there but the way that she moved was out of amazing. After skating for more than 2 hours it was time for her to go home so she went up to the desk to return her shoes and found that Yuan Jun was blown away by her ‘performance’ which he told her how amazing she was. Which she modestly thanked him while she started blushing before she left. After his first meeting with her, his thoughts were “So this is what love at first sight is.”

After that Eun Mi would see him often whenever she would come to the ice skating rink. They both became closer and Eun Mi learned that Yuan Jun transferred over to Korea to study. Sometimes when Yuan Jun is on break they would both sit in the café that was part of the skating rink and just talk. He told her that he wanted to do something different with his life once he was out of high school and that’s how he ended up in South Korea at one of the top universities in Seoul. She told him about how she’s a trainee how that is going for her. When he asked her about how she was so good at ice skating she just told him that her mum was obsessed with figure skating that she kind of forced it on her daughter. Eun Mi goes on to tell him that although she did like figure skating, she felt like it’s not the career path that she wanted to go on. He then comforted her, saying that it wasn’t right for her mother to force her to do that and other things to comfort her. While hanging out with Yuan Jun she found him easy to talk to and a great person to be around plus his smile is so bright that it’s blinding. Making Eun Mi’s day all the more better. She didn’t know when it started happening but she started to have a crush on him and would look forward to when she has time to go to the ice skating rink. But be a little disappointed when he’s not there.

One time Yuan Jun was just finishing up his shift when Eun Mi came in and was putting her shoes on at the seats near the shoe hiring desk. When Yuan Jun just suddenly said, “You know I’ve never actually been on the ice before.” Eun Mi gave him an ‘are you serious look’ “Really? Out of all the time you’ve worked. Not even once?” “Nope” Was all he said while. “Come skate with me. I’ll teach you” she told him and Yuan looked at her with a scared expression. “You’re not busy are you?” She asked him. Before he could say anything his co-worker put a pair of ice skates his size in front of him while answering for him “Nope. He just finished his shift and just finished his exams two days ago” which made Yuan Jun glare at his co-worker for answering for h. With no way to back out then he put on the skated and headed towards the ice where Eun Mi was already on. When he stepped on the ice he fell over onto Eun Mi. They were both blushing but Eun Mi was also giggling as they both got up and Yuan Jun held onto Eun Mi’s hands tight. As Eun Mi guided him and took baby steps to teach him Yuan Jun was able to skate and let go of Eun Mi’s hands and enjoy skating next to her for the next hour.

When Eun Mi was close to debuting with MUSE Yuan Jun ended up confessing his feelings for her which Eun Mi accepted his feelings but it was hard to start dating due to the complications for her dating when she’s an idol. But somehow they made it work and they ended up secretly dating.

afterthoughts

Suggestions: Here's my character. I ended up finishing this earlier then I expected. I don't mind if you include mature/ adult themes for my character. Go nuts with her. Also sorry for the horrible personality parts and the long love story (I got to into writing that part). I’ve never been good at writing personalities. That's pretty much it from me. Hope you like her.

Concerns: None that I can think of.
