appearance. for the most part, woosoek looks exactly like his faceclaim. he's a bit taller, touching 6'2, but has the same amount of muscles. while not buff buff,he's got himself a lil bit of a six pack. most noticeable about him is his scars and bruises. every time you see him he's got a cut on his face, a bruise under his eye. he typically wins fights, but not at the expense of his body being tainted by markings.
fashion style. this boi has no sense of fashion. he does not like to dress up, and you'll rarely catch him sporting fancy clothes. literally his fashion just consists of adidas track suits, wife beaters and trousers. he usually wears sandals on his feet but in some cases you might catch him wearing army boots.

ELABORATION. as a gang leader whose life is almost always at risk, wooseok isn't allowed to feel fear. however, he's never been less than courageous. he fears nothing, walking into terrible situations with his headd held high. his confindence is also piercing. he believes in himself, and is self-assured. what you think of him doesn't matter, as he 's always optimistic in himself. that's why he's always getting into fights, arguments and other competitions- he's 100% sure that he's gonna win. This passion inside of him is fiery and a lot of times, proves to be more than people can handle. he puts his all into everyting he does, never the kind to lose his intensity. this flamingv energy that he emits causes many to fear him, as they never know just how he'll react. wooseok is always energetic, his confidence and passion adding onto this. he doesn't know how to relax, always having to do something. he's lively, active and spirited. he knows how to bring life to the party, and does so in the heist crew as well. Wooseok vibes on his own, and he deosn't like to leech on others for things. when he wants something, he will go out and get it himself. He's self-sufficient and supporting, not the kind to expect anythng from others or care to give to others. he's the definition of a free-spirit, and doesn't like to be forced into a group. as the head of his own crime enterprise, wooseok is naturally a leader. he takes charge in all situations, pointing out what should and shouldn't be done. he can definitely come off as bossy, but his great leadership skills are obvious. finally, he's a somewhat determined guy. he definitely loses focus very easily, but when he has a goal, that goal will always be in the back of his mind. this especially coincides with his overflowing passion and confidence. if he ever loses a battle or fight, he won't give up. he'll keep trying over and over again until he wins

wooseok is a leader, and he will never catch himself being anything but. he doesn't like to be told what to do one bit. even if you're telling him to do something that is benefitial to him- its the fact that you're trying to order him around that makes him turn his head up and ignore it. this lil dude is as stubborn as it gets- he doesn't like to be told what to do and he won't ever listen to people who don't go along with his plans. he's also elusive, hard to catch, hard to convince and hard to give his trust. like much on the team, he isn't the kind to be caught easily and is constantly slipping thorugh authority's fingers. of course, wooseok is short-tempered. especially with his gang members. he bursts into anger really easily, typically turning to violence when he fuse blows up. he screams a lot, and add that to his deep voice, it's clear to see why people are so inclined to flinch when he yells. his short-temper also means that he's impatient. he does not like to wait, and as a gang leader typically gets what he wants fast since his followers know that if they take too long- it will lead to violence. even after a few seconds, he's already pacing back and forth in fury wondering when the hell will it get done. back to his confidence, wooseok is arrogant. his confidence is overflowing, and so tends to take too much pride in his skills. he's conceited and haughty, and this gets on the nerves of many people. his tendency to overthink his abilities leads to plenty of impuse actions. he doesn't think before doing anything, and just goes into situations with an "oh well, i'll just do it again if it fails" attitude. this recklessness is the fault of many of his scars, losses and enemies. he doesn't take anything into account, instead choosing to just go as the wind takes him. and, of course, he's aggressive. not just in terms of fighting. he is aggressive lover, an aggressive enemy, and an aggressive friend. this makes him quite intimidating, even if its not in fear of getting your beat.

wooseok's childhood was stolen from him. his father forced him into the world of crime when he was only 9, and so now that he's away from his father's grasp- the playfulness of a young boy has come out now. he's childish and playful, and loves himself a good play fight. wooseok is blunt. he doesn't hide the truth and lets it all slip out of his mouth. he has not filter, and tells things as it is. finally, wooseok is a loudmouth. he could talk all day if he has to. people learn to block it out eventually, but when you first meet him this loud nature of his gets on everyone's nerves.
BACKGROUND.
I. KIM GWANGSOO WAS THE KING OF DAEGU'S CRIME SCENE SINCE the early 60s. he ran an infamous gang, mawang (lucifer/dragon). by the mid-80s, all of southeast south korea was his empire. he took control of the region's drug trade, red light districts, and more. relationships and family was never his thing, and he whenever he got a girl pregnant, he'd force her to have an abortion.
most of this was due to his eagerness of having a son. he embraced misogynistic views and eagerly wanted a male heir to his criminal throne. when his favorite e, kang jihyun, finds out she is pregant with a boy, he allows her to keep it- to everyone's surprise.
ii. kim wooseok was born on april 12th, 1988. growing up, neither of his parents were the caring kind and he spent much of his childhood alone. his father was abusive, attacking wooseok both physically and emotionally since the boy learned how to talk. wooseok feared and despised his father to a level that a son should never reach. gwangsoo claimed that his reason for treating his son so poorly was due to him teaching the young boy to toughen up once he gained the daegu throne.
while his mother never hit him or spoke to him in a demeaning manner like his father, her fear of gwangsoo meant she never stood up for him whenever the man lashed out on wooseok. she constantly ignored wooseok, not wanting to get under gwangsoo's skin. on good days, though, she was a caring mother. she made sure that even if his parents were never paying attention to him, he had all the toys to make up for it. she also gave him the best teachers south korea could find, in hopes of making him above average before he entered school.
this attempt at tutoring led to the revelation that wooseok's mental abilities were stunted. he never paid attention, and had many mood swings and random aggressive outbursts. most brushed it off as him acting like his father. however, when one of his teachers pressured his mother to take him to a psychiatrist, they diagnosed him with adhd.
with his diagnosis came anger from his father. he felt fury that he was cursed to have a son who was "stupid" and "special". he would call wooseok many terms that challenged his mental worth, included the r-word.
iii. despite his poor treatement of his son, gwangsoo never brought wooseok into his work-life. that is, until the fall of 1998. only 10 years old, wooseok was dragged to his father's gang's hideout. gwangsoo, who was definitely drunk out of his mind, introduced wooseok as the mawang heir.
people cheered for wooseok and his future in the gang, and woseok- naive and lonely- loved it. he spent his entire life being called cruel names by his father and being ignored by his mother, to finally be admired was a feeling that he adored. so when his father handed him a gun and told him to shoot the bloodied man that they had locked away in the basement of the office building, with everyone cheering him on, he couldn't deny the offer.
and so, at 10 years old, kim wooseok killed his first person.
iv. during school, wooseok was always getting into trouble. he was fighting somebody every week. referrals, detentions, suspensions and so much more. he had a select group of friends, much of whom were also children of mawang members, with whom he stole, fought and bullied with.
it was clear, that as his father was kim gwangsoo, he was the leader of the minature 'daegu gang'.
high school was when his dangerous activities got much worse. there was a specific boy who had a serious beef with wooseok. on multiple occasions, the two had threatened each other but never went further than a few punches and kicks.
when wooseok's mother died in 2005, after a brutal shoot out between mawang and their rival gang, the boy didn't hesitate to make fun of the situation. so, wooseok beat him down. not just enough to break a few bones, though. he sent multiple fists to his throat, nose, jaw, ribs, etc. and after the boy stopped fighting back- wooseok's friends realized that he had killed him.
at age 17, wooseok dropped out of school and was sent to prison for manslaughter.
v. he ended up not serving his entire service. his father paid his bail and got him out after only a few months. now that wooseok was no longer going to school, gwangsoo decided to put wooseok in his gang 100%.
wooseok served as his right hand man, and was feared and respected by all members. for the next 5 years, wooseok would fight and kill people, enter and exit jail. it was a continuos lifestyle but he loved it.
in 2010, however, this changed. wooseok never got a long with his father, who still treated him wrongly into his adulthood. they had, one day, a giant fight over wooseok's struggle with adhd. he had blown the cover of one of mawang's money laundering sites after bailing on his role as lookout and put mawang at risk of expulsion. wooseok's struggle with containing his anger got worse as he grew, and at this moment he snapped.
it was only the father and son that stood in the room, and wooseok had a gun on him- his father didn't. groomed into always turning to violence, wooseok pulled the gun out and shot his father three times in areas he was sure would kill gwangsoo.
and since then, he took his rightful spot as leader of the mawang gang now that his father was no longer in the picture.
vi. since his slaughter of his father, wooseok has been leading the mawangs. the gang has grown prosperous amounts, now holding the entirety of the southern half of south korea in their grasp.
nothing unusual was going on his life, it was just him and his gang. and then the mastermind contacted him.
vii. wooseok and the mastermind weren't strangers when the mastermind contacted him. they'd worked together and against one another plenty of times, and they'd proven their strengths to each other well.
there are two ways that wooseok could have joined the heist.
first, if there is a femme fatale that wooseok is able to romance- it's because of her. wooseok likes being in control, and never worked well with others. so, he knew that he was not the right one for a heist. however, the mastermind came with the femme fatale and a few other members when they tried to convince him. wooseok, a total er for attractive women, immediately said yes once he saw the gorgeous woman.
however, if there is no femme fatale that he can have a romance with, wooseok is convinced to join the heist after the mastermind praises him. since he was raised being insulted by his father, wooseok is easily convinced when someone compliments his quirks and attributes. the mastermind complimented his role as gang leader and powerful strengths.
