elaboration In many ways, Clara is like a deer. Due to her dance training, she’s a very graceful creature, walking around with a sort of aura that seems to make her float more than walk (if that even makes sense). She’s also very gentle, be it with animals or people. Rarely does she pick arguments with anyone, or even attempts to; Clara mostly fades to the background with her gentle nature, as well as her being quiet. She doesn’t speak up unless needed to, and when she does, you’ll know that is going down because. Adding to the deer image, she’s also a very kind and polite individual; again, she doesn’t and wouldn’t harm anyone or anything. But when she snaps, she snaps hard.

 

Clara is also a determined individual, she will do anything needed to reach her goals, and wouldn’t stop until she reached her dreams. This is how one becomes an idol, after all. Her determination is also kind of scary, because literally nothing can really stop her except probably her brother. 

 

She is another mom-figure of the group, though she’s more of an older sister figure rather than a mom, because Serenity insists on being the mom and she lets her. The girl often takes care of the younger ones, though the older ones also look up to her since she’s a very responsible person who looks after her ‘ducklings’ in a very subtle way (I’m totally not talking about Serenity now -). And of course, being such a quiet and gentle person, she sometimes gets teased or jeered at by some very mean people, at which all the girls will gather around and protect her.

 

Again the deer allusion, but Clara is also quite reserved as she mostly keeps to herself and all that. She’s also very sensitive, and can usually detect anything about the others’ emotions or if they need help. But the other side of sensitivity also shows itself; she gets agitated somewhat easily, and shuts herself away if someone or something aggravates her. The worst part of it though, is that she doesn’t really speak up about it, so people can get frustrated easily. 

 

While she doesn’t do it on purpose, Clara can be quite manipulative. Well, okay, most of the time she doesn’t do it on purpose. She’s very persuasive into making people do things she wants them to do, or when she’s encouraging them. It works both ways, but when the leaders needed something done, especially when the entire group is uncooperative, they turn to Clara.

 

She’s also quite stubborn. Being the middle child, she has to hold her ground quite firmly in order to not give in to her older brother trying to boss over her and her younger sister just pouting and getting what she wants (or something...I’m not sure how siblings work smh). But yes, she’s stubborn, and doesn’t usually budge from her way, which can prove both a flaw and a good thing. Either way, nothing can really change the fact that she doesn’t change her opinion. 

 

Lastly, she’s also very easily proud. Despite the fact that she does put a lot of effort and time into what she does, and the results are usually very good, praise can get into her head quite easily. So one has to be careful about dishing it out, because otherwise it will get into her head and she’ll be all fluffed up and arrogant until someone points it out to her. 

 

background Born in Bangkok, Thailand, Clara is the middle of three children having an older brother and a younger sister, who was born when she was one. She had a relatively normal childhood, growing up as a model child and attending school, all that. While she wasn’t the brightest student ever, she was certainly hard-working; and no one could really find it in themselves to hate her, so she soon became her teachers’ favourite.

 

She also received ballet training when she was little, because why not? Anyways, so she grew up participating in ballet recitals, joining competitions and all that. At first, she didn’t really think much of it, but after watching a performance of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Clara soon became engrossed in ballet, and became really really good at it.

 

When she was fifteen, she performed in a major event in Bangkok and was one of the background dancers in a performance hosted by the Royal Ballet (a major company in Britain fyi). She caught the eye of the agent as well, who offered her a place in the company, but her mother was all ‘no she’s too young maybe wait a few years’. By this time, her brother just won the SM Thailand Global Audition, and the scouts were eager to see if they could discover any new talent. Hey presto, she was offered a contract by SM.

 

Though she initially wanted to go down the path of ballet, Clara soon realised that she doesn’t have as much passion for ballet as she had for Kpop, and soon signed to SM as a trainee. However, she soon quit because the trainees there were comparing her to her brother, and Clara became known as ‘Ten’s sister’ rather than an individual by herself. Fuelled by a competitive desire to become, *coughs* a big hit by herself and being on par with her brother, she decided to take a risk and signed with BigHit after two years of training at SM and being scouted, determined to carve out her own path in the kpop world.

☄ Clara has a...not really love-hate, but a very general sibling relationship with her brother. They argue, they fight, but they also take care of each other well. Ten really loves his younger sister, but because he has two, he has to be careful about balancing his attention or else. At first, Clara decided to become an idol due to her brother, but after realising she will only stay in her brother's shadow if she continues, she decided to switch agencies and make a new start in Bighit rather than staying in SM. Generally though, Ten is the only person Clara could really talk to in-depth and actually rely on, outside of her parents, but he is also her biggest competition. Being the two eldest of the family, they also take on the many burdens that are shielded from their youngest sister, so they bond over that as well. Generally, they really rely on each other. Still, they are best of friends, and Bambam often whines for Thai food from her, which she grudgingly obliges. ◈

trainee life Clara was sixteen when she entered SM, not really knowing what she was doing but following after her brother's footsteps. At first, she was kind of intimidated by everything around her, but being a fast learner, she got used to it pretty quickly. Also, the way to people's hearts are through their stomachs, so she grew to be a pretty loveable person.

 

However, after people learnt that she was Ten's baby sister, especially after he debuted, they started to change their attitudes. All of them started teasing her, to a varying degree. It stretches from a friendly teasing to outright bullying, because somehow they're bitter and started saying she used her connections to get into SM. 

 

Eventually, she got fed up and left SM, though not because the teasing got into her. No, she was more concerned about the fact that even if she made it, she'll still be labelled as 'Ten's little sister', which would take away her own identity, and so decided to transfer to Bighit.

 

At Bighit, it felt...different. She wasn't competing with a thousand other trainees for one spot in one group, she had support. She had mentors. And she had groupmates who supported each other. 

 

And Clara wasn't sure what to make of that.

It's exciting to say the least. I know it's also not an opportunity everyone is given, so I'm really grateful for the chance. Our sunbaes are also amazing. 

 

what's your relationship with kng and bts like? 

 

It's kind of intimidating to be around such successful sunbaes, but you learn something new everyday. It's really amazing to be able to do that.

 

who are you closest to in bts?

 

Probably Jin sunbae-nim and Suga sunbae-nim. Jin sunbae-nim because we do sometimes share recipes, haha. Suga sunbae-nim because he's teaching me music. 

 

who are you closest to in kng?

 

Definitely Preecha - I mean, Tae oppa. Probably because we're both Thai, haha. He helps me with my Korean a lot; as you can see, I'm still struggling. :')

My...Charming point? Um, I don't think I have any...

personality (You probably have a better grasp of his personality than I do so here's my poor attempt at trying to write it) Hendery is a big ball of fluffy chaos. On one hand, he's helpful, cute and snuggly (esp. towards Ten) but on the other hand, he flaps his arms around and does random things that...are just plain weird. 

 

Also, Hendery's also really caring towards those who he loves a lot, which of course extends to Clara. He looks after her not in a fussy and naggy sort of way, but rather like an older brother. He's like Ten, but noticeably less on-her-nerves. And she wouldn't swear at him, of course. 

 

Sometimes though, Hendery also manages to annoy the heck out of her, simply because he's an overgrown puppy with a tendency to become weird. Occassionally, he tells her weird stuff, like random stories that made no sense. He also dances around her, but only if he knew her mood was okay. If not, be prepared for some icy glares flying your way. 

 

(I know this is really ty and I just want to say I'm so so sorry)

 

first meeting Their first meeting happened in a dance practice room somewhere in SM. Clara was training her hiphop, trying to get her movements more 'hard' rather than 'soft' like her ballet movements. It wasn't working. So Clara being Clara, extremely fustrated, kicked the wall, and of course, ended up with a throbbing foot and a whole lot of swearing. 

 

It wasn't exactly the best moment to stumble upon someone, and while Clara was nursing her foot, sitting on the dance floor, someone entered the room, and hey presto it was Hendery! He immediately asked if she was alright, and when it became clear that she was fine and stewing, he tried to cheer her up with one of his weird antics.

 

And somehow, it worked. 

 

So they became friends. :D

 

development Their development was a lot of bumping into each other and greetings at first, until one day they shared a dance practice room and w o w both of them could dance. Naturally, afterwards Clara started to seek him out for advice because she was feeling very frustrated. And no way is she going to ask her brother either.

 

Thus, while Hendery taught her hip-hop and popping and all that, she showed him how to do ballet. These regular dance meetings caused them to become close, and when Clara was introduced as a member of the SM Rookies, Hendery even got her a cream puff as celebration.

 

Moreover, another point they share is the fact they can communicate relatively well and are both in Korean. So the dance sessions are also another way for them to just jumble English and Mandarin together in order to figure how Korean exactly works. 

 

Fast foward to when she left SM, he was devastated, of course. (at the time Ten had debuted already and Hendery wasn't introduced as part of SM Rookies yet) Clara told him in secret why she actually left SM (including the bullying) and he was shocked, but understood. The night before she was about to leave, they stayed up late talking to each other, and at one point she started crying because reasons, and he just...leans in and gives her a hug. Which turned into a kiss. 

 

(He had a crush on her before but just never admitted it)

 

interactions Most of the time it just involves either Hendery snuggled against her or him teasing her and goofing around her. And Clara is all like why am I with this idiot but she's smiling all the time, of course. 

 

Unlike her friends, he doesn't pressure her into cooking for him because he knew how exhausting it could be, but when she does, he latches onto her like an overgrown puppy and tries to help her, except he messes up the natural order of the kitchen so she just shoos him out.

 

Usually though, you can find the two of them snuggled up somewhere. Because she's sort of a romantic, she likes those really cliche dates in cafes or parks where they can talk. And he doesn't mind, because secretly he really likes just...talking to her and connecting with her on both a spiritual and physical way.

 

(They're just really so cheesy and obviously in love that...you can't deny it)
