Personality. 

Meili is fun and optimistic, she is often called the mood maker of the group because of this. She always does her best to turn any situation into the best possible outcome while making it fun at the same time. She us affectionate to those she is close to and often clingy. She’s good at reading other peoples feelings and adapting to the accordingly. Meili has excellent communication skills and is able to get her thoughts and ideas across easily. She’s also driven to meet the needs of others. She would drop anything for her family and friends if they needed her.

Meili has difficulty dealing with conflict and would rather hide from it than deal with it head on. She has a hard time letting go of relationships, even if those relationships are bad or toxic. Meili bores easily, especially when doing the same thing repeatedly.

Background.

Zheng Meili and her twin sister, Zheng Meiqi were born on December 5th, 2000 in Andong, South Korea to a Korean mother and Chinese father. After the birth of Meili and her sister, their mother sadly went into shock and passed away as a result of complications relating to the birth. Despite not having a mother in her early years, Meili never felt like she was missing out due to the love of her father and sisters. Meili grew up to be very close with her father and sisters. She believes that it was the passing of her mother that made the family as close as they are.

When Meili was seven, her father decided to pack up their family and make the short trip to Seoul as he thought that there would be more opportunities for his daughters and himself in the bigger city. The move at first was hard for Meili, after all she was only a child and didn't understand how leaving her friends and school could be better than staying, but slowly she was able to understand why it was better for her family as she started adjusting to her new life in Seoul. Arounf this time, Ai started to take on a bigger role in Meili’s life as she began babysitting and looking after the younger girls on her own. Ai would often play music and watch music shows while her dad was at work and Meili and Meiqi would often join her. The younger girls quickly fell in love with music and idols and managed to convince her father to let her take vocal classes.

Meili continued singing through her tweens and teens and also began dancing when she was ten as influenced by her older sister. Meili spend every spare hour of every day singing or dancing alone or with her sisters, so when Ai was finally accepted into an agency, Meili naturally wanted to follow in her footsteps. She originally tried to convince her twin sister to audition with her but was adamantly told no. Meiqi had dreams to go on to study when she was older and didn't want to become a trainee. At first Meili was hurt as her twin and her did everything together but slowly she learnt to accept it and decided to audition by herself. Somehow, the thirteen year old Meili managed to convince her father to let her audition for the same agency Ai had been accepted to (HB Entertainment). Meili was quickly accepted and began training with her older sister in 2014.

Meili finished middle and high school while she was training under HB Entertainment and hopes to move on to study music at university, but those plans were put on hold when the members of Citrus all decided to leave HB Entertainment to try make it on their own. Her family and members will always come first to Meili, so pushing back university didn't seem like such a big issue. While trying to raise money for Citrus’s debut, she took up a job at her fathers second-hand book store.

Trainee years. Four (Under HB Entertainment)

Trainee Life. Training wasn’t very hard but it also wasn’t very easy for Meili. Since she became a trainee when she was thirteee, she would often rely on other members like Ai and Eunkyung for help and guidance (even if Eunkyung was the same age as her). There were never really times where Meili felt like she should quit, henever she felt down she would make herself think of the possible end result of debuting and that made her push on and work harder towards her goal. She would always go straight to train after school and not return to the dorm until well after she was supposed to. She never missed a day of training, if she was sick and couldn’t  dance, she would sing. If she couldn’t sing, she would dance. Her mind never strayed from her end goal which was of course, debuting.

Comments/questions. I hope you like my girl, Meili! I know Meili's facelaim and Ai's faceclaim don't look much alike, but I've seen twins that look compleltly different, so I thought sisters that didn't look much alike would be okay!
