Personality. 

Hardworking and zealous : Wenxin gives her all in everything she does. Knowing she is not very skilled in performing, she makes sure to practise until she can remember all the lyrics and hit all the right notes or memorise every move of a choreography and execute it perfectly before she goes for evaluations, often staying up long after the other members to practise alone.

Loyal and protective : It's not easy for Wenxin to make friends due to her past and her cold nature, so she greatly cherishes those she who have proven her she can trust them and sticks by their side no matter what. If someone tries to badmouth someone she's close to, she will defend them with her life and attack them mercilessly.

Responsible and caring : Wenxin makes sure to look out for her members and keep them out of trouble. She keeps the promises she makes, and even if her heart is no longer set on something, she commits to it. She won't say "I love you" out loud, but she'll show concern for the other members in small ways like asking them if they've brushed their teeth or eaten their meals, wishing them good luck before evaluations or other important things and scolding them when they are reckless.

Strict : As Wenxin used to be a former policewoman and people in the police force have to be highly disciplined, she puts pressure not only on herself but also her members to be disciplined, put all their effort into training and get everything right, because to her, that is exactly how to avoid failure. She makes sure she follows her schedules and the rules set for her exactly, and often reminds her fellow trainees to do the same, even scolding the members she cares enough about for not doing so.

Irritable : Going along with Wenxin being strict and unable to stand a lack of discipline or half-assed effort, she will fly into a rage when she feels her members are slacking too much and / or not giving their best, or even if you simply did or said the wrong thing at the wrong time. And once you've annoyed Wenxin, she'll yell at you till the cows come home, until she has been appeased.

Reserved : Wenxin doesn't believe in socialising simply for the sake of socialising, or up to someone she does not like. She'll only let you get close to her if she decides she likes you. Even so, she will take a long time to open up to you. She usually keeps to herself, only speaking up if she has a strong opinion, if she needs something or someone speaks to her first.

Honest : Wenxin believes that in order to correct someone so they can improve, they need to be told exactly what they are doing wrong. Therefore, she doesn't sugarcoat her criticism and doesn't care how insensitive she is when telling people off. However, if she has praises to give, you can be sure they are from the bottom of her heart.

Stubborn and petty : When Wenxin’s mind is set on something, she’ll do everything she can to get it. Don’t try to tell her what she should do or what’s good for her, she won’t listen. Be careful not to upset Wenxin, because she's not one to forgive easily and holds grudges. And she especially won't forgive the man who hurt her in the past for giving her the nightmares she has every night.

Judgemental and suspicious : Wenxin usually has a negative impression of people when she meets them for the first time and is not someone to trust others easily. If people are trying to appear nice, especially to her, she suspects they have an ulterior motive for doing so.

Cocky : Wenxin was a former commanding officer in the police force, and it wasn't easy for her to get where she was. Neither was it easy for her to win International Idol. Because of this, she looks down on people who can get what they want without putting in much effort.

Background.

Wenxin was born in 1990 to a policeman and a stallholder at the PCC staff canteen. Growing up seeing her father in the news often for catching criminals and bringing them to justice, Wenxin dreamed of becoming a policewoman too when she grew up. On Wenxin's 10th birthday, her father decided to bring her to the beach to celebrate. However, he caught a stomachache right after they got out of the car, leaving her to wait for them alone. Little would Wenxin know, that day would change her life forever.

While her father was in the toilet, a man approached Wenxin, appearing to be in great pain and asked him to help her to his van so he could go to the hospital. Being a trusting little girl who wanted to be nice to others, Wenxin helped the man. However, it was too late when he realised he was pretending to be in pain to lure her to his van and kidnap her. For several days after that, Wenxin was left in a dirty room where she was constantly shouted at and beaten, and forced to eat rotten raw chicken. Her kidnapper even pulled her hair and fondled her barely grown s and private parts.

After several days in captivity, Wenxin learnt how to recognise the sound of her kidnapper's van, and would peep out the window to see if the van was leaving or entering the premises. One day, when her kidnapper had left, Wenxin fashioned a key out of a toothbrush and lighter, and escaped. After exploring the rural area where there were no buildings for a while, Wenxin was met by several teenage boys who were exploring, and told them about what happened to her, and they brought her to a police station. Her parents were called and she was brought back home safely. Unfortunately, her kidnapper managed to escape the long arm of the law, and Wenxin suffered from nightly nightmares.

Wenxin's kidnapping spurred her further to become a police officer, and she eventually did. However, whenever she was called to deal with cases of child abuse and kidnap, the memories kept flooding back. Of course, she had to stay strong while on duty, but she would cry alone in her room after she had gotten off duty. The nightmares she had still came every night, even despite therapy and medicine. She kept herself busy with work during the day and anything that could occupy her mind when she was off-duty, and at night she would touch herself until her s or her meds knocked her out, whichever was faster.

At the age of 27, Wenxin finally met her kidnapper again, when she arrested him for kidnapping another young girl. After a mental breakdown after dealing with the crazy man, Wenxin decided to resign from the police force. While looking for other jobs, Wenxin found out about International Idol and decided to try out. Even though she had no experience in performing, she really just wanted to start a new life in another country. With her hard work, she managed to make it to the final team of International Idol, and later debuted as a member of U/Idol.

Luna's somehow managed to melt the ice queen, and she knows Wenxin was hurt in the past, which makes her especially protective towards the older girl.

Groupmate / Hirose Yumeko / 22 / Idol / INFP / Yumeko is shy and Wenxin is reserved, so they seldom approach each other outside of practise / trainings. However, Wenxin thinks Yumeko is really cute and pretty, and secretly has naughty thoughts of the younger girl (when she isn't thinking of Haero).

Groupmate / Arlo Yoon / 22 / Idol / ENFP / Relationsip : Arlo's a nice guy, and even though his personality is practically the opposite of Wenxin's, they can get along well. But he's a man, and because of Wenxin's past, she keeps her distance from him.

Groupmate / Park Miyeon / 18 / Idol / irritable, competitive, y / Miyeon and Wenxin are both the beautiful and mysterious ones, which makes both of them popular among fans. Because of this, Miyeon considers Wenxin one of her rivals. But Wenxin doesn't bother competing with Miyeon, she's too old to care about who's more popular and thinks Miyeon's "rivalry" with her is stupid.

Groupmate / Tanaka Mina / 19 / Idol / brave, outspoken, quarrelsome, talkative / Mina is like fire and Wenxin is like ice, so when they collide, it's a disaster. Mina is a kind person who loves her groupmates dearly, and if Wenxin makes them feel like , the younger girl is always ready to chew her out.

Trainee Life.
Winning International Idol was a shock to Wenxin. She had no experience in performing yet managed to make it through the competition by working hard and learning fast. And maybe people voted for her because she was pretty. But more importantly, through International Idol, she realised singing and dancing helped her forget her problems, at least temporarily. So when Unite Media offered her a chance to debut, she took it. It was better than having nothing to do. But despite the busy idol trainings which tired Wenxin out, her nightly nightmares still returned. At least she was able to find comfort in another member, a girl named Haero. Haero was so sweet, she was Wenxin's motivation to work hard, and she was the prettiest girl Wenxin had laid eyes on. But Wenxin being Wenxin, she's too stubborn to admit her true feelings for Haero, though it's only a matter of time before she loses her and confesses to the younger girl, probably screaming and crying while at it. But other than her quiet crush on Haero, everything is going well, and Wenxin likes being an idol.

Comments/questions.  Hope it's ok that her fc is an 86 liner. There are many idols who dealt with mental illness like Park Bom and Jonghyun and I would like to see mental illness being explored more in idol fics. Her background was really hard to write but I really hope to see it more in idol fics. Sorry that I couldn’t write anything cool for her trainee life.
