Personality.

Cheerful : Erika is someone who seemingly does not let anything get her down and is always laughing and smiling. When interacting with others, she'll try her best to remain enthusiastic.

Loyal : Erika does not drop her loved ones just because someone else can give her something better or what she wants. She knows who are the ones who were there with her and stands by them, protecting them with her life.

Creative : Erika can seemingly come up with any ideas or lyrics on the spot, and she loves making up lyrics and ideas. She loves thinking of imaginary worlds and "what if this happened" situations which spur her to create things.

Zealous : Erika believes that if you truly love something, you should put as much effort as you can into it, and going with this, she puts all her effort into performing, making sure she gets everything perfect and has memorised it by heart before she goes for videoshoots or performances.

Sensitive : Erika is easily hurt by harsh words or others' suffering. She doesn't understand why people would want to hurt others, whether intentionally or unintentionally, and feels that even if you wish to criticise someone in order to correct them, you should tell them so patiently rather than lashing out and using harsh words.

Needy and validation-seeking : Growing up as a loner, Erika often felt there are few people who love her, and it didn't stop when she became an idol. If people don't praise her, she feels that she had not done well or is unloved. She often says things like "oh dear, I didn't do so well this time" hoping others will assure her she did her best. She tries her best to help others or stay on their good side, because she wants people to like her.

Cowardly and timid : Erika does not like making her loved ones angry or getting into conflicts, so she often keeps her true opinions and feelings to herself. If she accidentally expressed an opinion others do not agree with, she will just agree to disagree for fear of ruining her relationship with the person / people. She is easily scared by people who are angry and fierce.

Kind and selfless : Erika tries to avoid hurting others, instead uplifting them wherever possible. She never fails to give her loved ones or people she finds cool words of encouragement when needed, even if she can't say much. She tries her best to show genuine love to everyone around her, even sacrificing herself to make them happy.

Shy and modest : Erika finds it intimidating to interact with people she does not know and tries to avoid drawing attention to herself, only speaking up when she needs something or when she has a strong opinion, or if she is spoken to first. Despite having a rather good figure, she tends to avoid wearing overly revealing clothes when she is not performing. She likes compliments, but doesn't let them get to her head. Her usual response to compliments is "do you really think so?" rather than readily thanking the person who offered her a compliment.

Protective : As she has few friends due to her shy personality, Erika greatly cherishes those who were nice enough to make the effort to befriend her, and would do anything to not lose them. Mess with them? Prepare for Erika to come for you with no mercy.

Impulsive : Going along with her spirit of wanting to protect her friends and being easily hurt, Erika has a tendency to act before thinking in "heat of the moment" situations. Thankfully, her more level-headed groupmates are usually around to descelate the situation and prevent anyone from getting into trouble.

Background.

Erika was born in 1997 to a couple who settled down in Singapore in the 1990's. Her mother was a home-based piano teacher and her father enjoyed writing poems in his spare time, and Erika quickly developed a love of poetry and music. Erika begged her mother to teach her how to play the piano many times as a child, and she finally got her wish when she was six years old. Erika was intrigued by how words and melodies came together to form songs, and started writing poems and coming up with piano melodies to accompany them.

When Erika started primary school, she decided to take up ballet as her extracurricular activity after watching the Barbie Nutcracker movie. It was also when Erika was in Primary Six that the H1N1 crisis struck, and her friend sent her a link to a Youtube parody of Wonder Girls' nobody with lyrics relevant to the crisis. Erika went to search for the original song and ended up liking it, and she later started listening to and following other Kpop groups that were popular at the time like SNSD, 2NE1, Secret, After School and T-ara.

Erika continued taking dance as an extracurricular activity as well as playing the piano and writing songs until she graduated from junior college, as well as self-learning dances through Youtube videos during her free time. After she took her A level examinations in 2015, Erika's parents took her on a graduation trip to Seoul and while they were out shopping, Erika took a flyer from a flyer distributor which turned out to be a flyer for HB Entertainment's auditions. Erika's parents decided to let her try for their closed door auditions during their trip, and at the audition, Erika was accepted to be a HB Entertainment trainee.

After training for 2 years in HB Entertainment, Erika was chosen to be part of a girl group, temporarily named HB girls. However, as their debut got constantly delayed, the members of HB girls decided to leave their company and be independent idols. Erika, having grown attached to the other girls as well as her manager, decided to leave the company with them. But being an independent idol isn't as bad as she thought it would be, at least she still gets to sing and dance for others.

Groupmate / Lee Eunkyung / 19 / Idol / ESFJ / Relationsip : Eunkyung was one of the first few girls who reached out to Erika when she first became a trainee. Despite being younger, she is the one usually taking care of Erika, and they have gotten very close over the years training together.


Groupmate / Chu Jangmi / 17 / Idol / INFP / Relationsip : Both Erika and Jangmi are shy and quiet, so it took a while before they approached each other out of trainings / practise. Right now, they're still getting to know each other, but they get along well.


Manager / Kim Beodeul / 27 / Manager of Citrus / ISFJ / Relationsip : Just like with Jangmi, Erika only opened up to Beodeul during her later years of training at HB Entertainment. However, she now considers him one of her close friends.


Groupmate / Lee Chaehee / 25 / Idol / perfectionistic, irritable, unfriendly, caring, protective / Relationsip : Chaehee cares for Erika just as she cares for the other members of Citrus, but it's not like they're best friends. Both seldom approach each other outside of trainings / practise, because Chaehee sees no reason to and Chaehee's fierceness and resting face intimidate her. In fact, Erika slightly dislikes Chaehee because she feels the older girl is too insensitive when telling the other members off for messing up. However, over the years of training together, Erika has learnt not to (more like became too cowardly to) stand up to Chaehee because of the latter's argumentative nature.


Groupmate / Seo Taeri / 18 / Idol / cheerful, friendly, playful, crazy / Relationsip : Taeri is friendly and outgoing, so she was naturally one of the first few girls who approached Erika outside of trainings / practise when she first became a trainee, and over the years of training, Erika slowly warmed up to Taeri. In fact, Erika considers Taeri one of her closest friends in Citrus.


Best Friend / Grace Lin / 22 / Graphic Designer / cheerful, friendly, playful, crazy, kind, caring, selfless, sensitive, talkative / Relationsip : Erika and Grace have been best friends since Primary One and it was because of Grace that Erika wanted to take up dance, as she watched the Barbie Nutcracker movie during one of Grace’s birthday parties. It's also lucky that Erika is now independent, because she has more time to go back to Singapore to visit Grace and hang out with her. In fact, since Grace is an independent performer herself (but is based in Singapore and never wanted to be contracted), Erika and Grace occasionally collab. (fc : GBB's Cheris)


Groupmate / Lee Gaeul / 25 / Idol / ESFJ / Relationsip : Erika had known Gaeul since they were both HB Entertainment trainees. Gaeul always talked to Erika and checked up on her, and over time, Erika opened up to the older girl. Gaeul is like an older sister figure to her.

However, Erika knows enough to know that Violet's sister is one of the actresses she watched on TV growing up, which is probably why Violet puts so much pressure on herself.

Trainee Life.
Erika was already familiar with dancing and singing when she became a trainee, and it was a bonus that she knew how to compose and play the piano. However, the hard thing for her was learning Korean. The alphabet and the pronounciation was different from the languages she knew, and like when she first started primary school, she did not know how to make friends with the other trainees. Luckily, there were a few trainees who spoke to her in English and helped to coach her in Korean. As her Korean improved, Erika ended up coaching newer trainees in dance.

After three years of training, Erika was chosen to debut in a girl group which was then called HB Girls. However, after HB Girls' debut kept getting postponed and later unofficially cancelled, Erika along with eight other girls and HB Girls' manager decided to leave the company and be independent idols. But she didn't mind not being contracted, to be honest she never wanted the fame that comes with being an idol and she's still happy she can dance and sing for others.

Scandals.

2019 / (mostly) True / "Citrus' Erika is a lesbian / biual?" / "Citrus' Erika and ___ dating?" After announcing her relationship with another member of Citrus, fans began to wonder about Erika's uality and it was widely discussed on social media as well as forums. To put a stop to the controversy and answer the fans' questions, Erika did an Instagram live coming out as panual and said that to her, love goes beyond gender.

Comments/questions. Most former ballerinas who are currently Kpop idols are main dancers, however I noticed that Rachel was changed to a lead dancer instead of main dancer so you can use either her or Daisy as Erika's twin if she is chosen depending on what roles you need.
