 PERSONALITY TRAITS
Easy going / Adventurous / Go getter / Understanding
Shy / Emotional / Vulnerable / Gullible

 TRAITS ELABORATED
Easygoing - With her bubbly personality and a face that is always smiling, Eunrin's esaygoing trait fits just right in. She gets along with anybody and is pretty much popular among her peers both in high school and in campus. She knows how to make people feel comfortable with her. People from other faculties look for her help as well since she rarely decline any requests. Eunrin gets along with anybody who are nice and often goes with the flow.

Adventurous - Being an avid reader certainly shape Eunrin to be an adventurous person. She's not afraid to try something new and is always up for a challenge. The girl likes to travel even though she's always broke but if there's a school trip or anything, she would be the first to register her name. Eunrin likes to wander around her campus or neighbourhood alone. Most of the time, she's experimental as well with her work and art.

Go getter - If given a task, it's either Eunrin do it properly or don't do it at all. That's her motto. She doesn't like her work being a half-assed work. There's no such thing in Eunrin's life. It's not that she's a perfectionist, she's far from it actually but when it's down to completing a task, there's no way Eunrin is going to do it half-. That's just how she is. She might get stressed over it but when she sees the final result of her hard work, she would feel very proud of it. This comes in a package with her being diligent as well.

Understanding - It's a no surprise that people always come to her to pour out their problems. Eunrin, even when she is unable to give out any advices, she has always been a great listener. Whatever she hears, she keeps it to herself. She doesn't prey on people's problem and uses it against them. Eunrin knows when to say something and when to keep quiet. She knows just what to say. In giving advices, Eunrin always starts slow, she gives both what people wants to hear she says and what they need to hear and sometimes, what they need to hear isn't all sunshine.

Shy - One might not think she is shy given her easy going personality but Park Eunrin blushes easily. She might be popular with her peers but she always had problem talking to boys, especially those who she just met. She's just very shy to the point that she would rather have her friends do the talking for her or just keep quiet and not look at them. She gets timid too at times when they suddenly bombarded her. This side of her gets worse when she's having a crush on someone. Instead of flirting or talking to her crush, Eunrin would just avoid him. She'll refuse on making eye-contact, refuse to look at him and would run away if she sees him. She doesn't care if the other person sees her running away from him, all she know is she doesn't know how to handle the situation so it's best to avoid.

Emotional - Eunrin always keep her feelings in check. She rarely shows people that she's sad or down. Which was why it was pleasant being friends with her. However, her emotional side would only show up when she's defending her best friend. She doesn't know why but when it comes to him, she would get angry and doesn't care about her image. She wouldn't care about anything and is always ready to fight whoever goes against her bestfriend. Most of the time, her emotional outburst only witnessed by her best friend. This is due to the fact that she often bottles up her feelings to the point that she feels burdened by it.

Vulnerable - Though she might not seem like it but Eunrin is actually fragile. She has a soft hard and in fact is very vulnerable. Being popular can only mean two things. It's either people loves you or people hate you. That's it. There a lot of times when Eunrin had been emotionally and mentally attacked by those who doesn't like her. They've attacked her physically too but it was so subtle that it was impossible for Eunrin to prove it. Most of the time she lets it slide. The men she dated played her feelings too as if it was nothing.

Gullible - Perhaps being gullible is the reason why it's easy for people to take advantage of her. With her easy going personality and friendly smiles, people are starting to take advantage of her kindness. Eunrin, unable to see it, would be more than willing to help these people.

 BACKGROUND
Eunrin is the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Park. Ever since she was a child, Eunrin was known for her bright smile. She can be handful at times. Full of ideas, mischief and is often hyper.

During her high school years, Eunrin would have been one of the top students if it weren't for her Maths and Science. The girl basically scored in any other subjects but these two. But the one that she prized the most was Art. She had always been interested in the subject and have her own unique style that could define and set her artwork apart from others. The teachers often encourage her to enter art competitions and once, she won second place.

It didn't surprise anybody when Eunrin took up the Art Major in University. They pretty much expected it. Instead of having exams, Eunrin struggles with countless artworks that needs to be submitted and final semester projects that could hold her back a semester if she fails. During her campus life, Eunrin rarely joins any activity as she haven't got the time to fully enjoy it due to the overload of work and assignments. Being an art major costs a lot. Instead of asking more allowances from her parents, Eunrin takes up commissions and jobs from left and right. This is to sustain herself and avoid being a burden to her parents.

Her sleeping pattern is pretty much messed up as she often stays up late to finish her projects. Sometimes she doesn't sleep at all and stayed at the art studio at her campus overnight to chase after the deadline.

During the weekends, Eunrin would still be busy with her projects and assignments. But when she's too stressed out, she'll stop doing her work and go out or something. Sometimes alone, sometimes with Johnny.

On weekdays, during her freetime, Eunrin would either catch up with her books, dramas or sleep. But if she sleep, she usually sleeps for only 2 hours and get up to finish her work. She has no life at the moment because she's too focused on uni.

 RELATIONSHIPS
Father - Park SeungWon ( 49 ) - Chef | Closeness 90%
Park Seungwon is a single father who raised Eunrin alone since the day she was born. He loves Eunrin very much and spoiled her senseless. There are times when he feels a bit sad, seeing how Eunrin had to grow up without a mother but never thought of remarrying.
Even after the death of his wife, Park SeungWon still maintain the friendship between him and the Seo. He is a loyal friend, helpful and generous in terms of financial and personality. It's not that he has a lot of money but he believes in the more you give, the more you'll get back.
There are times when he just didn't know what to do with his daughter. He couldn't understand the mood swings, the emotional breakdown that she had to go through and he felt bad about it. But if anything, he would be the first person Eunrin would turn to if there's any problem. When he didn't know how to approach her, he would ask for Johnny.
He takes care of Johnny too as if the boy is his son. He will take him out fishing and brought the guy shopping together with Eunrin. Every morning, he would pack lunch for his daughter and Johnny, despite they're in their 20's now.

High school best friend - Lee Sungkyung ( 23 ) - Art Major | Closeness 86%
Lee Sungkyung and Park Eunrin are like twins. They have matching outfits, matching backpacks, matching headbands and a lot of friendship items. They both met during high school years in an art club. Although Sungkyung was from a different class, their friendship blossomed every time they met for lunch.
Sungkyung and Eunrin applied for the art department in the same university. While Sungkyung stays in a dorm, Eunrin prefers to stay at home, thinking about how her dad would be alone. She's not really fond of Johnny.

High school best friend - Nam Joohyuk ( 23 ) - Sports Major | Closeness 80%
Nam Joohyuk are friends with Sungkyung. They both live in the same neighbourhood and it was pretty obvious that he has a crush on her. While Sungkyung and Eunrin are in the Arts Department, Joohyuk are majoring in Sports, like Johnny. They got along pretty well and Johnny calls themselves as Double J.
While Sungkyung can be hot tempered, Joohyuk is the opposite. He thinks a lot and doesn't talk much but when he does, it often comes out as a witty remark or sarcasm but he never talks about anything pointless. He's very popular with girls as he is in the soccer club.
"let me fashion evaluate you, girl."
BESTFRIEND'S NAME    Seo Young Ho / Johnny Suh
 FACECLAIM    Johnny Suh NCT
 BACK-UP FACECLAIM    Jackson Wang

 PERSONALITY
Caring, funny, sensitive, romantist, protective
Impulsive, petty, overjealous, manipulative

Johnny likes to fool around a lot. He's playful, mischeivous and cheeky but he is actually very caring towards the people around him. Especially those who are close to him. He may not show that he cares and pretend to not know anything but Johnny Seo cares a lot. One of the reason why he is popular is because he's funny. His jokes are actually funny unlike Eunrin, whose jokes are always followed by forced laughter or awkward silence. Johnny's jokes are relatable and he teased a lot of his friends but the guy never touched on the sensitive topics and that is because he himself is sensitive. He empathises with people too and he always watch his words, careful not to hurt anyone. He might not seem like it but Johnny is secretly a romantist. He already did all sorts of things for his bestfriend, imagine him doing all sorts of things for his girlfriend. He likes to pamper his girl and he would endlessly show his appreciation towards her. He can be cheesy at times too, sometimes corny as well but he'll take his girl on a late night picnic under the stars, set up fairy lights on the trees just to surprise her, he'll go for a long drive with her and bring flowers every now and then, leave little notes for her. That's just how Johnny rolls when it comes to love. As guy, it is an instinct for him to protect. Among his friends, Eunrin, Sungkyung and Joohyuk, Johnny is like the alpha of the pack. He doesn't sit well with people hurting them and he would fight for them even for the littlest and pettiest things. He's ready to risk his life for his family and friends. If there's a car about to hit Joohyuk, Johnny would jump in front of him just so his friend could live. He's selfless and thoughtless at times.

Being impulsive comes along with him being protective. It's a package. It's good to be impulsive but there are times when Johnny had to learn to control his imuplsiveness. He tend to put himself in danger or harm's way with this side of his. Because he is always ready to protect his family and friends, he just doesn't care what happens to him. Johnny is mature in so many aspects but he isn't perfect. He can be very petty when he wants to be. Pettiness + childishness goes so well together when it comes to Johnny. This usually happens when he's overjealous. He knew for a fact that Eunrin belongs to no one, not even him and yet he couldn't stop being jealous whenever she is close to another boy. He'd pretend to be nice to the guy and do a lot of harmless sabotage to him. One time, he purposely shook a coca cola can before offering it to the boy in front of Eunrin, which caused the carbonated rink to splashed out at him when he opened the can in front of Eunrin. Although he is nice, Johnny can be manipulative. He knows how to mess with people's mind and make them rethink their choices. He doesn't usually do this but when he does, you'll know it's either for his own gain and benefit or for the sake of others.

"So you're going to confess to her?" Johnny asked one of his classmates. He wasn't close to him and he never really liked the guy anyway.
"Yeah. Hey, you're best friends with her right?"
"Yeah. So you're going to shoot your shot?"
"Absolutely."
"Damn, you're brave. I'm already going through a hard time being her best friend..."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, people are already threathening me for being best friends with her... and if you confess... i don't know what they'll do to you. BUT! I think you're really brave dude, so go for it!"
"Oh-oh..."

He often pull this kind of things when it comes to the people he has a bad feeling about. Johnny isn't the type to dislike a person easily but when he isn't feeling good by looking at a person, he knows it's bad.

"Buy it, Sunkyung."
"I'm broke, Johnny."
"Well, if you say so. I mean, the shirt is on sale and you just seem to like it very much. What if next time you come here to buy it, it's no longer there? Wouldn't that be even worse?"
"I- this is why I don't like you."
"I'm just stating the facts."

Which ended up with Sunkyung buying the shirt.

STRANGERS, FRIENDS, BESTFRIENDS
 THEIR STORY
Everybody knows that Mrs. Seo and Mrs. Park had been best friends since they were in high school. Nothing could put an end to their strong sisterhood bond and friendship. It wasn't a surprise that their children are really close and somewhat like siblings when they're together. Although Mrs. Seo married first and Mrs. Park a few years later, they gave birth to their children in the same year. In the early year of 1995, Mrs. Seo gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Mrs. Park dotes on the baby as if it was her child and not long after that, in November 1995, it was Mrs. Park's turn. However, fate was not on their side. The day Eunrin was born, was the day Mrs. Park left the world.

Eunrin and Johnny had been friends since they were babies. Mr. and Mrs. Seo oftened dropped by to see Mr. Park and checked on Eunrin when she was a baby. They let the two babies play together while they resminiscing their times together when Mrs. Park was alive. They thought how happy she would have been if she sawhow well Eunrin and Johnny got along.

As they grew up, the two got closer and closer since they both go to the same kindergarten, primary school and eventually middle school. However when they were 15, Johnny's dad got promoted in the company and had to move to Chicago as he was in charge of the branch over there. The whole Seo family moved to there. They were still in touch at the beginning until the timezone got in the way and their schedules didn't align. The video calls stopped and so did the postcards and letters. Just like that, they drifted apart. Eunrin missed Youngho but she thought perhaps he was just too busy with school and maybe he had better friends there.

A few years went by and Johnny was back in Korea with his family. Eunrin didn't know about this nor did Johnny told her. She only found out through her father when he told her that the Seo family was back in Korea. At this point, Eunrin didn't know what to feel. She felt excited to see Johnny again but at the same time she just couldn't be bothered. The bond between them was no longer there and perhaps in a way, she felt sad about that.

The Park and the Seo met up once again at Johnny's house but Johnny and Eunrin didn't talk much. The adults seemed to be catching up a lot but their kids just sat quietly in the living room, minding their own business.
"Oh is that so? Are you still drawing Eunrin?!" Mr. Seo asked from the dining table to Eunrin who was sitting on the couch.
Johnny's ears seemed to perked up at this question. Truthfully , he too had been curious about what his old friend had been up to.
"Oh yes, I'm going for Art Major."
"That's wonderful, sweetheart. You're very much like your mother!" Mrs. Seo exclaimed before turning her attention back to their own conversations.

Eunrin and Johnny kept on stealing glances at one another when they weren't looking at each other. Until the fourth time, they accidentally looked at each other in the eyes and sheepishly looked away.
After a good 10 minutes of awkward, painful silence, Johnny made the first move.
"You wanna hang out upstairs in my room?"
"What?"
"I mean, for old times sake."
"Oh- oh, uhm, okay."
They slipped upstairs without the adults noticed and for a moment, Eunrin felt like they were kids again. They did this all the time when they were in primary school.
The two of them got into the room and Johnny left the door opened. He didn't want Eunrin to feel trapped or gave out any bad feeling.
Instead of having a conversation, they just stood, facing each other in silence again.
"So..." they said at the same time.
Eunrin noticed how Johnny's room was pretty similar on how it used to be. He still have comic books on his beds, posters on the walls but at the same time, it felt more sophisticated. Everything in the room screamed Johnny.
"Do you like cracking codes, still?" Johnny asked as he knelt down, trying to reach for something underneath his bed.
Right at the moment, Eunrin didn't know why but she felt angry at him. Angry that he could act normally as if he did nothing wrong. As if the distance between them was never there, as if everything was supposed to be the way it was.
"Here's a code that I've been trying to crack for a long time. Why did you stop contacting me?"
At her words, Johnny froze. He looked at her, guilt written all over his face. Eunrin only stared down at him, trying to look as strong. He sighed, sitting down properly and leaned against the bed. Eunrin knelt in front of him, tilting her head slightly. She didn't look angry but Johnny knew what she was thinking. She was curious and she won't let it go until she got them. That if she was still the same Eunrin he knew.

"What happened? I thought you promised that you won't forget me." She spoke softly.
He didn't reply. Instead he avoided her eyes.
Eunrin waited. She was always patient when it comes to him. Even if they haven't met in years, even if they've changed, there would always be a soft spot for him in her heart.
Johnny was about to say something when they heard Mrs. Seo called for him. Immediately, almost relieved, Johnny excused himself for a brief moment and went downstairs, leaving Eunrin alone in his room.
It was Eunrin's turn to sigh. Truthfully, she didn't know if she wanted to hear Johnny's answer. What if it was something bad? Something that she couldn't handle? She stood up, wanting to leave the room, wanting to leave the house and just be alone and that was when she saw something from the corner of her eyes.
Underneath Johnny's cabinet, slightly hidden under his pile of clothes, was something familIar. Eunrin remembered it perfectly because she was the one who bought it for him, as a farewell gift. Carefully, she pulled the vintage out of the piling clothes. The lock was broken. It had always been broken. The box was slightly heavy, as if it was stored with something. They said curiousity kills the cat but at this moment, Eunrin couldn't care less. She knew what she did was wrong, invading Johnny's privacy. They weren't even close anymore but she couldn't help it. This was still her Johnny. The way he spoke, the longing in his eyes and she knew, she just knew that he wanted them to be friends again just as how she wanted to be close to him again.
Quietly, she opened the box and inside, were stamped unsent letters to her in envelopes. There were dates on them. Eunrin picked them up, one by one. He must have written it every day, every week perhaps to her. Finally, she found the date that Johnny stopped writing to her. She wondered what happened.

"You're always snooping around my stuff." Johnny's voice startled her.
Eunrin stuffed the letters back inside the box quickly. "Sorry, I just saw it underneath there and-"
"You thought you'll have a look?" His voice was remote. His eyes fell to the box in her hands. "I guess it's normal since you were the one who gave me that." He smiled sadly.
"You... you wrote to me but why didn't you send them?" She handed him the box. Instead of taking it, he held her hands instead, holding the box. Before Eunrin could say anything, she felt drops of tears fell onto her hands and they weren't hers. She looked up to see Johnny, hanging his head low and shoulders shaking slightly.
"I miss you."
"What happened?" Eunrin spoke, pulling him along with her slowly as she knelt.
The two sat on the floor, facing each other with the box between them. "Why did you stop writing?"
It took a while for johnny to answer. He sighed.
"Remember when we promised, "no secrets. no lies?"
"Yeah, honesty is everything." Eunrin nodded, remembering one of the rules of their friendship.
"I was having a hard time adjusting. I had a tough time. I couldn't communicate, I didn't have any friends, I had to go through school years alone because of the barrier between me and the other kids. I was sick all the time because of the weather there."
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"How could I?"
"What do you mean, how could you?"
"I don't want you to worry over me. I know how you are- were- and I guess I was too naive and holding onto the "no secrets no lies" rule for too strong."
"So you stopped writing..."
"I stopped writing."
"You should have just told me... I know, I can't be there with you physically, but at least I know how you were doing."
"That's the thing.. I didn't want you to know. I didn't want you to know how badly I was trying to fit in over there."
Eunrin cupped Johnny's face and his cheeks gently. "You silly boy..." she smiled softly and traced a finger on his face, stopping on his forehead before flicking it hard.
"I'm your best friend you idiot! You're supposed to tell me things like this!"
"That hurts!"
"Not as hurt as my feelings when you stopped writing to me!"
"I literally just told you what was going on with me!" He whined.
"And I'm telling you what you should have done so that you don't pull this again, idiot!"
"You're the idiot!"
"No you're the idiot!"
"You're the idiot of the most idiot!"
"No, you are!"

After a good 15 minutes of arguing, the two were out of breath and just faced each other. They both had the same annoyed face and before they knew it, they burst into laughter.
"Okay, that was stupid!"
"It was!"
"I can't believe you bite my arm, Eunrin!"
"You were crushing me with your weight."
"I miss you."
"I miss us." She said.

They just looked at each other. They had so many things to say to each other, so many things to keep up with but they didn't know where to start.
"What do they call you there?"
"Johnny."
"Johnny? They call you Johnny?"
"Yeah. They had trouble with pronouncing my name so I told them to just call me Johnny."
"You do know I call you Johnny because of Johnny Bravo right?"
"I know, and I wish it was you calling me that instead of them."

Another pin drop silence save from the laughter of the adults downstairs. They seemed to be talking a lot and having more fun.

A few days passed by and the two friends didn't contact each other. They didn't meet up with each other until the day of university registration. Eunrin overslept and woke up late. She got ready quickly and ran down the street as fast as she could. She was no athlete but she did her best. It was just her luck when Johnny happened to pass the street with his bicycle.

"Hey! Eunrin! Need a lift?"
"I'm heavy."
"I know but I need to exercise my legs. You'll be a great help." He teased.
"Okay that's mean but I'm desperate."
But when Eunrin wanted to sit at the back, she realized that there was no seat.
"How am I supposed to sit?" She asked, slightly anoyed.
"Here." Johnny casually pointed at the bicycle frame.
"You have got to be kidding me." She whined but sat anyway.

With all his might, Johnny cycled, keeping his arms closed to Eunrin so that she wouldn't slip and fall off. When they got there, Eunrin stretched and Johnny held out his palm. She high fived it but he just stared at her.
"What?" She asked.
"Fee."
"But you were the one who offered!" She looked at him in disbelief.
This made Johnny laughed. "You're still as slow as before. Glad that didn't change."
She made a face. "You're still as mean as ever."
The two walked together to the main building but went seperate ways for their faculty. Eunrin went with the Art Department and Johnny went to the Sports Department. Johnny finished with his registration first since Eunrin had to go through a few drawing tests to pass. He didn't have to wait for her but he did. By the time Eunrin got out of the hall, Johnny was already waiting for her outside with two drinks in his hand. One is half finished and another is still full.

"Hazelnut chocolate, as usual. You still drink this right?" He handed her the drink as she approached.
Gladly, Eunrin took the drink from him. "Thanks!"
Johnny just watched his friend drank happily and noticed the smeared charcoal on her sleeves. "How did the test went?" He asked.
Eunrin nodded her head before answering. "It was okay. I don't know if I can pass it though."
The two walked side by side, feeling a bit nostalgic and trying to recall when was the last time that they've walked together like this. It had been forever.
"You'll get in. You've always been a great artist. Didn't you win second place in an art competition in high school?"
"You knew?"
"Of course!"
"How?"
"Your dad told my dad and my dad told me."
"I see."
"I've always like your paintings Eunrin."
"Let's hope the panel likes them too."
They walked in silence. But rather than feeling awkward, they were starting to feel the familiar sensation, the comfortableness set in with no effort. As if they had always done this. As if they had never drifted apart.

"Do you think we can be as close as we used to be?" Johnny asked.
"I don't know Johnny." She tore her gaze away and looked up to the sky. "It looks like it's about to rain. Let's go home."

When Johnny dropped Eunrin in front of her house, he held her wrist for a brief while. "Let's be friends again. I miss you." He pouted, trying to act cute.
Flashes of good memories with Johnny came into Eunrin's mind. "If I say no?" She tried not to smirk but failed miserably.
"Then I'll bug you." He got the hint.
"You've bugged me since the day I was born." She flicked his forehead.
"Okay, lady, that hurts." He flicked her forehead, slightly harder.
Eunrin gasped and flicked his forehead again.
They always do this. Once they started, it was impossible for them to stop. That day, both Eunrin and Johnny entered their houses with a red dot on their foreheads and a wide smile on their faces.

 THE TURNING POINT
It was 3AM in the morning and Johnny was cycling his off to Eunrin's house. He didn't know why he did it when she was always so stubborn but he did it anyway. Probably because Eunrin was always there when he needed her and he wanted to be there for Eunrin too.

"Are you still awake?" He texted her when he arrived at her house.
"No."
"Come out for a while."
"No."
"Come on, don't do this."

Johnny waited for another five minutes but there was no respond from her. She always do this when she's in need of someone. She'll push people away. That's just how Eunrin is. Instead of leaving her house, Johnny waited for another 5 minutes, which turned into 10 minutes. He played with his phone for a while and that was when he heard the front door opened.

"You're still here." Eunrin spoke in a low voice as she approached him.
Johnny leaned against his bicycle and patted it. "Want to go for a ride?"
"It's 3 in the morning."
"Which makes it easier for me to cycle since there aren't a lot of cars."
He noticed how Eunrin kept her head low ever since she came out of the house and bent his knees a little, to peek her face. She was hiding her face with her long hair.
Gently, he pulled her hand and adjusted his bicycle. "Let's go, Rinnie."
Johnny had installed a seat at the back just for her but Eunrin didn't need to know that. She didn't have to know why he rushed to her side at anytime she calls him. Quietly, Eunrin sat on the seat and Johnny, started to cycle.
The two remained silent for a brief while until Johnny felt Eunrin leaned against his back, resting her forehead against his spin and her arms wrpped around him. He cycled in silence, fully understanding that Eunrin didn't need to talk right now, she just needed someone to be with her.
Johnny had no idea where they were going, he just cycled aimlessly and when Eunrin snuggled a bit more into his jacket, he cycled back home with her.

"What are we doing here?" Eunrin asked as she got off the bicycle.
Her best friend just parked and locked his ride carefully and motioned for her to follow him. But then he stopped on his track and turned to her, putting a finger to his mouth indicating that Eunrin needed to be quiet.
"Try not to stomp like an ogre okay? My parents are sleeping." He teased, trying to lift up the mood.
Eunrin dramatically gasped, but quietly. She put a hand to her heart, pretending as if she was hurt by his words. "I do not stomp like an ogre!" She aggressively whispered.
Johnny just chuckled and opened the door. The both of them tiptoed quietly upstairs and into his room. Johnny closed the door with a soft click and locked it. Just in case his parents decided to come in and check on him in the middle of the night and he can't let them see Eunrin in this state. They never minded Eunrin having a sleepover with Johnny but he didn't want them to see her being down and blue and eventually tell her dad about it. He was sure Mr. Park didn't know what was going on with her.

Casually, Eunrin settled herself on the available beanbag until Johnny kicked her off and she rolled awkwardly on the floor. Quickly, Johnny sat down there with a smug face.
"Okay, that was mean." Eunrin said as she got up, ready to kick Johnny off the beanbag and claim her place.
But before she could do that, Johnny grabbed her gently by the arm and pulled her on top of him. He locked his legs around her waist and hugged her as she squirmed. They often do this to each other whenever one of them was down. Eunrin was the one who started it when they were kids. She headlocked him until he told her what was troubling him and now, Johnny was doing the same to her.
"You're not getting anything out of me!" She breathed.
Instead of replying her, Johnny just her head gently. He kept on  doing so until she was tired and eventually lay still on top of him. They didn't say anything and Johnny loosend his legs a little bit. Eunrin shifted, burying her face into his shirt. Then he heard a sniff and his shirt felt wet.
"He's an ." He said and Eunrin nodded.
"He didn't know what he's missing." He added.
"It's his loss then." He finished.
His hand never stopped Eunrin's head. Slowly, the girl brought her hands up to Johnny's neck and hugged him tightly.
"I honestly thought that things were going to work out this time." She sobbed. Then, she let got her Johnny's neck and Johnny let go of his legs around her. Carefully, she got off him but sat in front of him instead. Johnny sat up straight so that he could look at his best friend better. The girl rested her forehead on his knees. "I mean, I know I've been in a few relationships before but at least none of them hit me."
"He what?! He hit you?!" He couldn't believe his ears. "Where did he hit you?" Then it clicked. Was that why Eunrin had her face hidden?
Almost a bit too rough, he held Eunrin's chin and tilted her face. That was when he saw the bruise next to Eunrin's left eye. It wasn't big and could be covered by make up but the fact that someone raised a hand against her was unforgivable.
"That piece of !" A hundreds of cusses ran through his mind. Not even the most psychotic murderer could even think of what Johnny was thinking at the time.
"It's okay! We've broken up." Eunrin quickly cupped his cheeks. She could see that he was fuming with rage despite the dim lights from the galaxy lamp.
"Good." He curtly responded. "So not only that he cheated on you but he hit you? Where can I find this piece of ?" His eyes were still on Eunrin's bruise.
"It's not worth it."
"It always is when it comes to you. Nobody treats you like this and gets away with it." With that, he softly pulled Eunrin's head towards him and pecked her bruise. "I'll go get some ointment downstairs. You go ahead and choose whatever movie you wanna watch."

While Johnny was downstairs looking for the ointment, Eunrin picked out their favourite movie, Hot Fuzz. She settled herself on Johnny's bed and hugged her favourite pillow of his. It took Johnny a while to find the ointment and by the time he got back upstairs, he saw Eunrin drifting away into slumberland. The movie were only playing for five minutes and the girl ended up sleeping.

He noticed how puffy her eyes were, how flushed she looked and how unkept her hair were. She must have been crying for the whole day and was extremely tired. She didn't look her best but Johnny thought she was pretty still. She was very... Eunrin-ish. While the girl was sleeping, he carefully tilted her head to the bruised side and applied the ointment there. Then he took off her socks and draped his blanket over her. He took out another blanket for himself and settled next to Eunrin. He knew that she was going to hog the blanket and burrito herself. They've had enough sleepovers for him to know that.

That night, Johnny laid still next to his best friend. His eyes glued to the galaxy on his ceiling but his mind was wandering somewhere else. Eunrin shifted in her sleep and as expected, she burritoed herself in the blanket. His attention was on Eunrin and he smiled to himself seeing her like this, sleeping peacefully.
"You got someone who would treat you right but you don't even know it." He said, referring to himself.
He looked at her one last time and sighed before turning his back against her, forcing himself to sleep.

 INTERACTIONS
Johnny and Eunrin uses each other's name a lot when they ask for permission to go out from their parents. This is because they know, if they mention each other's name, they would always get a green light from their parents in almost everything.

"Where are you going, Johnny?"
"Out with Eunrin, mom!"
"Alright! You kids have fun!"

"Who's going with you?"
"Uhm Johnny?"
"Oh, okay. Tell him I said hi, okay?"
"Okay dad."

Not only that, they cover up for each other from teachers, friends and sometimes families. One time, Eunrin was late for school and Johnny had to make a scene in the class so that the teacher wouldn't notice her tardiness until she came. Eunrin, would distract Johnny's parents while Johnny sneaked into the house on the days he was grounded. It was like that between them. They cover up for each other and got each others' back.

Not to mention, they tease, roast and drag each other out with no mercy but they also hype each other to no end. But they never touch on the sensitive topics or uses one insecurities for fun. That was not how they do things and when they hype each other up, it could be on the simplest things.
"That is the most magnificent straight line I've ever seen, Eunrin."
"Thanks! It takes a talented person like me to draw this perfect line."

"Damn, Johnny, you look good!"
"Tell me something I don't know."

Everybody got their own secrets and even these two keep secrets from each other but being best friends, there was no way they could keep things to themselves. They don't sell people out and always keep things private. But there are things that they do purposely tell others just to annoy one another and usually these things wouldn't cause any harm.
"Mr. Park! Eunrin skipped class today!"
"I did not!"
"Yes you did! She skipped class and went to a showcase instead!"
"I hate you Johnny,"
"I hAtE yOu JoHnNy"

"Johnny likes to read shoujo manga,"
"What?! Eunrin!"
"That's why he's spewing all these corny pickup lines-"

The chemistry between them just dynamic. They have their own inside jokes and they can give silly looks to each other and understand one another just based on eye contact. It was almost impossible for people to comprehend them and get in between their friendship. Loyalty is what they value too. They got each others back even in the absence of one another. What they hate the most is hearing people badmouthing and gosspping. One time, Eunrin was having a drink with her classmates and her ears perked up at the mention of Johnny's name. They were talking about how rude he looked and how he must have thought he was the coolest guy there because of his bored expression.
Without any hesitation, Eunrin slammed her hand on the table and eyed the boys.
"Do you know him personally? Do any of you know him personally? No? What gives you the right to talk like that about him? What's wrong with my Johnny? huh?"
"Your Johnny?"
"Yeah, my Johnny! What's up with him? Just because he always have that expression on his face doesn't give you guys the right to talk crap about him when you don't even know him. You guys are just jealous that girls are throwing themselves at him. Maybe if you make the effort to dress up nicely, talk gently and actually make friends instead of gosspping like this, girls would actually want to be your friends."
"Ya, Park Eunrin!"
"I don't have time for your crap. I'm out."

While Eunrin is a bit on the emotional side while backing him up, Johnny is more calm and composed.
"I don't think she's all that great. I don't understand why is she so popular?" A girl snickered at her friend when Eunrin smiled at them, being friendly as usual.
"I heard that she got deans list last semester. She must have cheated on the exams. Last time I spoke to her, she's a bit slow on keeping up."
Johnny, who had been standing behind the group of girls, cleared his throat.
"Being smart doesn't have anything to do with being slow." he said.
"Oh, hi Johnny." They blushed. Of course they would, Johnny was popular.
"Eunrin can be a bit slow but she's smart. She doesn't grasps situation quickly but that doesn't mean she's dumb."
The two girls looked at him, flustered. "Are you another one of her fans then?"
"I'm her best friend. So watch your mouth. I don't tolerate people who talks bad about her when you guys don't even know anything about her. Talk bad about her again, I'll make sure you won't be able to talk about anything for the rest of the year." His tone was icy cold.

Eunrin is often being used by Johnny whenever he is about to reject someone. But he would volunteer to help Eunrin reject guys. One thing that Eunrin is bad at is lying. Her body language would give it all away and Johnny had to step in.
"I'm in love with you."
"Oh. But I'm with Eunrin." He would say.
"I thought you're just best friends?"
"Exactly. You thought. But thank you. I'm flattered."

"Would you go out with me, Eunrin?"
"Ah? I beg your pardon..."
"Would you go-"
"Eunrin, my girl hey!" Johnny would run up to her if he saw her being uncomfortable with the guy. "Hey, what's up man, how you doing?" He knew exactly what was going on but it was best to pretend that he didn't.
"Oh hey, Johnny-"
"Look, I love to let you and Eunrin chat a bit longer but we're supposed to go on a date and we're kinda late? Okay, thanks. That's nice of you. Catch up with you later man!" And with that, he smoothly pulled Eunrin away.
Eunrin made sure to tell Johnny if someone wanted to meet up with her privately, be it a girl or a guy. It was because she had bad experiences in high school when the girls were ganging up on her in the bathroom. Lesson learned. It was mainly for safety reasons and Johnny, most of the time would tag along with her from afar. If he got class, he'll check his phone consistently waiting for Eunrin to reply. If she didn't reply within 15 minutes, he'll go out to look for her.

The two of them are very touchy with each other. They'll hug, piggy back, carry, hold hands in public. But they never touch each other inaprropriately. There is always a limit to everything. This kind of interaction between them sometimes confused people whether they were a couple or not because some days they fight like siblings and were ready to murder each other but some days they act like lovebirds. Kisses between them are common too but never on the lips. They like to peck each other's cheeks, though it might seem weird for some but this is completely normal between them.
"Kiss me on the cheeks!"
"What? Why?"
"That girl has a crush on me and you're my girlfriend right now."
"What?"
"hshshs do it, she's coming over here!"
"Why do i-"
"I'll treat your to lunch for a month."
"Done."

While having a sleepover, they'll cuddle while watching a movie. They'll sleep next to each other and Johnny usually would take out a spare blanket because the last time he shared the same blanket with Eunrin, the girl ended up hogging all of it and burrito herself in it while Johnny was left out being cold. They have their measure distant of how close they can get while lying but they often ended up snuggling into each other for warmth. Usually it's Eunrin since she gets cold easily. When that happened for the first time, he was annoyed because she kept on pushing him off his side to the point that he almost fell of the bed but as time passed by, he realized that Eunrin gets cold easily so he would spoon her and cover her legs with his for more warmth.

"Are you scared of sleeping alone or something?"
"What?"
"I woke up to your arms around me. I mean, you really need to get a girl."
"I-- what?"
"Yeah, exactly. Get a girl."

 RELATIONSHIP STATUS
There's no in between. They either fight like siblings or take care of one another like a couple.

 ENDING    Happy ending please :'>

 RELATIONSHIP TRIVIA
- Johnny never let Eunrin have more than 3 shots due to her low alcohol tolerance if he's not around. It's fine for her to drink more if he's around because he would be the one to take her home. But if he's not around, he worried other guys will take advantage of her.

- Eunrin and Johnny have a few set of matching outfits that they've shopped together. Sometimes they matched their outfit without planning and are very proud of it. Though they might act like that don't like it. "Stop copying me!" "be grateful you're as stylish as me."

- Johnny hates it when they attend a party and they have to play truth or dare because when his friend is drunk, she tends to pick dare. Most of the time, Johnny would volunteer to do it on her behalf even if it means him being a party pooper.

- Whenever Eunrin has a crush on somebody, Johnny would be sure to interrogate that person and be friends with him just so he could get to know the person's personality. If he's not nice then Johnny would definitely be against it.

- If Johnny has a crush on somebody, Eunrin would encourage him to go and get her. It's not everyday that Johnny has a crush on someone so to see him flustered over a girl really makes Eunrin happy. She also unknowingly encouranging Johnny when he actually has a crush on her.
"She's stupid if she doesn't accept you! You're the most amazing guy I've ever seen! I'm even friends with you!"
"Yeah... she's already stupid."

- They have monthly activity together where they would go either cafe hopping or to an ESCAPE ROOM. They both like solving puzzles and cracking codes. They're not Sherlock Holmes and they acknowledge that but they just like to test and challenge their critical thinking and IQs.

- They both can drive and often take turns in driving during a long trip. Johnny is the calmest driver ever while Eunrin speeds up like her whole life depends on it. But when Eunrin sleeps, Johnny won't wake her up and just drive the whole way. As for Eunrin, she'll insist Johnny not to sleep because she's scared that she might get lost or feel sleepy. Johnny is pretty much good in navigating the directions while Eunrin tend to get them lost despite the fact that she's using the Maps application

- They tag each other in memes. Especially Eunrin. Even if Johnny had seen the meme, he would pretend that he'd seen it for the first time and hype Eunrin up. But if it was Eunrin, she would just say "I've seen this." "Can't you be nice for once?"

- They got a lot of photos of each other. Their phones are 90% photos of each other and 10% family and other friends. Eunrin and Johnny also e another into memes that they send only to each other when they text.
"Gorl what--" "gOrl wHaT"

- Both of them have countless videos of each other on their phone, most of it are just them goofing around, pranking each other or on a trip together.  click here and here

CROSS OR PROTECT?
 FINAL WORDS
Hi author-nim! I've only written the turning point for Johnny because I guess, it'll be fun to leave it up to you about Eunrin's turning point ^^

 SCENE SUGGESTIONS
- Eunrin going to classes wearing Johnny's hoodie.
- It was raining outside and Johnny was stuck in a boring group discussion. He didn't even want to be there in the first place. As if she read his mind, Eunrin tapped on the window (the discussion takes place on the ground floor) and asked Johnny if he wants to join her in the rain. Without any hesitation, he grabbed his bag and climbed over the window with an excuse "sorry, what Eunrin wants, Eunrin gets."
- Johnny being able to tell apart Eunrin's fake friends and those who were only being friends with her because they wanted to get close to him.
- Eunrin being absolutely protective over Johnny while she was drunk.
- Campus trip!
- Eunrin and Johnny confessed their feelings at the same time. It wasn't romantic but funny and awkward instead. But Johnny being a total romantist towards her after that.

hey! thanks for applying, but there's actually already a plotline (june girl, to be exact) that has a famous sibling. i wasn't really wanting any other plotlines to have famous siblings and i understand you may not have even seen that plotline lol ;;
but she actually really matches the june girl criteria well, there would just have to be a few changes regarding her talent claims and subtracting things that jan. girl has that june girl doesn't.
