[HOWLING NOISE] MIGHTLY WOLVES - OUT!

"That morning announcement was so obnoxious," A girl's voice could be heard in the quiet room of 2-F, but, even so, her voice was even more obnoxious than the announcements, or at least Yaoxun thought in his mind.

"Yeri, at least she tried," The girl rolled her eyes at the younger student, not giving one single about his own thoughts. Yaoxun looked at Yeri before letting out a sigh, taking note that she, despite it being over three months, still hasn't changed.

"The announcements weren't as obnoxious as you have always been," Yaoxun said under his breath, hoping that Yeri didn't hear what he said. However, his comment did garner the attention of a fellow classmate of his who, unknowing to him, has been keeping a close eye on his very existence ever since they became seatmates. A scoff could be heard and, of course, Yaoxun already knew that was about to go down.

"I'm sorry, cheater, did you say something," Yeri looked at Yaoxun and, obviously, he wasn't pleased with her tone.

He looked up at her and just smiled, "Nothing, princess."

Again, the girl seated next to him emitted a small chuckle and, of course, Yaoxun turned to the other with his infamous dimple smile. In a matter of seconds the girl quickly looked back down, investing herself in a science book that only made Yaoxun more intrigued. He poked her arm, resting his head on the rough desk, trying to make eye contact with his seatmate, "I'm Yaoxun, and you are?"

The girl looked at him before immediately looking back down at her book. Despite not knowing what the hell the large font on the cover said, Yaoxun was able to read the Hangul print written on the bottom, "Sobong Inkyung?"

Inkyung immediately looked up before nodding, making the message clear to Yaoxun that she didn't want to talk at the moment. Although Yaoxun was upset over the fact she didn't seem interested in him at all, he respected the fact that she was invested in school more than he was. How did she end up in Class 2-F anyway?

"Wow! It's our first day in Class 2-F! Aren't you glad we're in the same class," A hyper kid could be heard practically a mile away, talking to a small group of people. Yaoxun let out a laugh, already knowing who it was even before looking.

"Yeobo, be quiet," Yaoxun started to walk towards the group which only made the younger gape at Yaoxun's sudden words and appearance. "You're going to make all of Korea deaf with your voice."

"Oh my God, Yun!! How'd I not see you here when we're practically inseparable," The shorter of the two linked his arm with Yaoxun which only made Yaoxun laugh, patting the younger's head before trying to pry him off. Sadly, he didn't budge.

Yaoxun emitted a low and defeated sigh before looking at the rest of the guys, already seeing the fear in their eye. Yeri wasn't far behind, rolling her eyes when their eyes met again. Yaoxun turned to the younger, "Chian, I think you're scaring everyone here."

"No, no, no. I'm not scaring them! I'm just making friends," Chian shook his head, which only scared Yaoxun out a bit because, to him, it looked like Chian's head was about to break off from his whole body. If that ever happened, who was going to fanboy over girl groups with him now? Answer: No one. Only Yoo Chian is capable of releasing Pan Yaoxun's fanboy self. "Hyung, hyung! Let me introduce you to them!"

Yaoxun was pulled only a few millimeters forward towards the two other students. He recognized the three students as one was known for both his looks and being practically the last ranked in the class, the other was the complete opposite in terms of ranking, being in the top twenty and just a little outside of top ten and the girl, well, they were already close. "Yun hyung, this is Minwoo hyung, Chanyoung hyung and Kiseol! Minwoo hyung, Chanyoung hyung and Kiseol, this is Yun opp- I mean, hyung. Heh!"

"Oh? My welcoming buddy," Kiseol immediately approached Yaoxun with a raised hand and, this time around, she didn't pull that 'sike no high five for you dense ' she always pulled.

"Hey, you feeling better," Yaoxun knew how she was absent for the exam because of a flu. And, because of the ty system KRS is running on, the two complained the night before the exam about it. Kiseol already knew that she was going to end up in 2-F as she had to be absent, but Yaoxun's excuse? His was a terrible one compared to Kiseol. The two did feel bad for each other, especially since they didn't deserve to be in 2-F. If anything, 2-D would've been an okay placement if they actually took the exam.

"Oh? Noo- I mean, Kiseol! You were sick? Huhu, why," Chian chimed in which caught the attention of Chanyoung and Minwoo.

Kiseol let out a pout before literally climbing over Chanyoung to pat Chian's head, "Aigoo, baby boy, it's okay! I'm feeling better now!"

Yaoxun noticed how uncomfortable Chanyoung looked and, almost as if on cue, Yeri came in, "Ki, get off Chanyoung."

Kiseol raised a brow before looking at Chanyoung who, to Yaoxun, seemed to be blushing a bit at the sudden contact from Kiseol. Then again, Kiseol's rack was practically millimeters away from Chanyoung's face. "Oh, I'm sorry, Chanyoung! I didn't mean to!"

"A-ah, no, it's okay! I'm okay," Chanyoung let out a small and unsteady cough, signalling that he was a bit uncomfortable. However, Kiseol was someone that people don't typically get mad at so quickly. Well, except Yeri.

"No, Chanyoung, Kiseol practically molested you. I don't condone to that ," Yeri stood up, taking a hold of Kiseol's table before throwing it out of the classroom. Everyone looked shocked, scared even, at Yeri's sudden outburst and brute force.

"Yeri, that was unnecessary," the other boy, Minwoo, spoke out. "You didn't have to do that to her."

"Ah, right, Ong-ssi," Yeri let out a scoff before pointing at Kiseol. "You don't know this yet, but I'm not a fan of that girl. Nope. Not at all."

Kiseol just blinked a few times, as well did the other students in the class. Heck, the homeroom teacher didn't even do anything. All he did was look at Yeri before going back to playing one of those ty phone games. For someone handsome like our homeroom teacher, he was a pretty ty teacher.

Kiseol was about to say something, but it was a good thing the bell rang for the next class. Hell didn't break lose. Not yet, anyway.

Just as Yaoxun was about to leave for his most hated subject, mathematics, someone stopped him, "Aye, my dude!"

Yaoxun turned around, recognizing the voice as one of his close and scarily similar friends, "Aye, Gyuha! What's up, my guy?"

"Nothing much," Gyuha shrugged as he slung an arm around Yaoxun. "What's your next class? Dude, you never messaged me about your schedule! How will I know what classes to skip and what not to skip?"

Just when Yaoxun was able to give a spiel about skipping classes, despite, in reality, he skips sometimes too, someone was quick to judge.

"Skip none of them, then."

The two of them turned around to see someone who seemed fairly older than both of them, maybe even in the whole class. His figure seemed scarily intimidating, and when he made a hasty exit to what looked like a science classroom, Gyuha and Yaoxun both went silent as they looked at each other, sending so-called 'dude sos signals' through intense staring.

"Who the was that," Yaoxun pointed at the classroom the guy walked in. Yaoxun's never seen him in this school, but he did seem like he knew his way around the halls.

"That's Chanki, I think," Gyuha let go of Yaoxun's neck, sticking his hands.

Yaoxun raised a brow before his jaw dropped (literally) to the floor. He's heard of a Chanki before, the one who did something so bad to the point he landed himself into juvenile detention. Legend has it, Chanki was the reason they aren't allowed in the classroom building after school unless under supervision or for detention.

"Chanki? Like, the Chanki," Yaoxun questioned and, immediately, Gyuha nodded so furiously his head could've plopped off right then and there.

"Yeah," Gyuha heaved a long breath of air. "I didn't know he still goes to KRS after what he did. I guess he does need to finish school to get into one of those high end schools. But with his kind of criminal record, I don't think that'll happen."

"Hey, Gyuha, you might end up in a hole like that someday," Yaoxun snarked which only caused Gyuha to send a glare in his direction before smaking the back of his head. Yaoxun rubbed his head, "For someone as small as he is, he has a powerful hand. I wonder what else that powerful hand can do."

Gyuha looked up at Yaoxun before hitting him again, "The , you're such a ert."

"I meant in baking! You need to knead the dough well enough. Make good cookies."

The bell signalling the start of the first class rang. Gyuha pushed Yaoxun to the wall before running to his next class which, sadly, was all the way at the end of the hall. Once he got to his classroom, he turned around to Yaoxun, "No comment, ert!"

"I really hate math," Yaoxun ruffled his hair, staring at the blank answer sheet in front of him. Just like every other school year, there was a mandatory math exam to test 'prior knowledge' and to see how they should be taught. In Yaoxun's case, he needs all the help and had no prior knowledge besides adding up his life mistakes.

"Pan Yaoxun, do your exam," The teacher snarled at Yaoxun. He quickly apologized before looking at the equations in front of him.

Even though Yaoxun had a strong hatred for math in general, the teacher was someone he respected. Ha Jungwoo, Yaoxun's current Calculus teacher and his current Basketball coach. How ing ironic for Yaoxun.

"Are you having trouble," A male whisper could be heard next to him. As he looked up to see who it was, an expression of complete confusion replaced his furiour gaze.

"Gongdo? What the hell are you doing in an class-F math," Yaoxun said as quiet as he could.

Gongdo let out a small sigh before putting his head down on the small tabletop, still facing Yaoxun, "Number five you solve with a right triangle, and number six you use the sin2x equation."

Yaoxun blinked his eyes at Gongdo before looking around the classroom. For someone who was only slightly below average in math, all the other students were done. Then again, this is a low-leveled class, so they all probably bullted the exam. Everyone but Gongdo, however. Yaoxun turned to Gongdo to thank him, but he was already snoozing away. I guess he was tired of Yaoxun's unintelligence and physically slept. (Bad joke? Okay.)

Yaoxun quickly tried to finish his exam, though very poorly and sloppily, before getting up to give it to his teacher.

Jungwoo let out a small chuckle, "Took you long enough."

"I just didn't know how to do some things," Yaoxun chuckled as well, in a bit of a worried manner. "Don't grade it in front of me, please."

Jungwoo shook his head before placing his exam with the rest of the class', "I didn't plan to. I plan on doing it during the meeting."

"," Yaoxun spoke under his breath before immediately shutting up, realizing that he just cursed in front of a teacher. Usually Jungwoo was lenient with cursing, but as a coach. If anything, Jungwoo could be completely different out of gym. Quickly, Yaoxun turned around back to his seat, only to hear Jungwoo's airy laugh. Yaoxun let out a small breath, relieved to hear that terrible laugh of his.

It meant Jungwoo was okay with it.

As Yaoxun exited his math class, heading to his Korean Literature class, he ran into a group of girls, or as Yaoxun calls them, 'his fanclub'. It wasn't something new to him, running into girls that considered themselves fans of his, but he did find it kind of annoying. Yaoxun appreciates all the gifts and attention, but if you go as far as sneaking into the boy's dorm at 2am in hopes of seeing him, kiss your chances goodbye because the beautiful Pan Yaoxun needs beauty sleep.

"Ugh, Yun! Are you cheating on me? Why are those girls literally climbing on your ?!"

Speaking of 'fans'.

"Tsk," Yaoxun turned around, hearing a familiar female. As usual, the group of girls turned around, following his gaze, only to see a familiar figure that always hangs with Yaoxun. "Jaeeun, love, you want me to walk you to Mandarin?"

"Love," One of Yaoxun's little fangirls turned back to Yaoxun who was still looking at Jaeeun as she sprinted to his side, linking arms. "Are you two-"

"Get out," Jaeeun commanded and, almost on cue, the small group ran to their next class.

Yaoxun turned to the short girl, seeing her hair color still being that dip-dyed pink from a month ago. He ruffled her hair, "I see you haven't changed your hair, huh, pinky?"

"Yah," Jaeeun attempted to fix her hair. "No 'wow, thank you for saving me from losing my ity' or 'wow, you're so hot when your mad'? Just 'you haven't changed your hair'?! You're a terrible friend."

Yaoxun raised a brow before ruffling her hair again which only made her even angrier, "Thank you, pinky."

"Touch my hair again and I will bite your off."

"Um, what?"

"Nothing, bye," Jaeeun screeched in Yaoxun's ear before running away to her Mandarin class. He let out a small laugh and shaking his head as he entered his Korean Literature class.

"Oh- Yaoxun!"

Yaoxun looked towards the back of the classroom, a familiar face, "Woojin? You're in 2-F?"

"Well, duh, I showed you my report card last year," Woojin leaned back, only to fall as, like all F classes, we only get cushions as seats and a small wooden table called a 'desk'. It isn't really fair, especially since to get to the F wing you have to pass the prestigious A wing that's a whole lot better than ty F wing, but it's somewhat bearable. At least to Yaoxun it is. Woojin on the other hand?

"ing cushion," Woojin rubbed his head as he slowly sat back on the cushion. "But, yeah, my grades from last year? Yep, still consistent and average as ."

Yaoxun laughed at him, "Please, if anyone has terrible grades, it's me. My report card is probably as dry as your sense of humor."

"Yun," Woojin sent a glare in Yaoxun's direction, which he responded with a small hum. The older male let out a strained groan, his voice awkwardly breaking in his speech. " yOu."

Yaoxun chuckled, "On a scale of 2009 Bieber to Alvin and the Chipmunks, what's your puberty voice at right now? I'd say it's at the brink of Alvin and the Chipmunks."

"I swear to ing God, if you weren't my friend, I would've slit your throat by now."

"."

Woojin and Yaoxun decided to skip Korean Literature, only because the teacher didn't show for a good twenty minutes. Of course, the two troublemakers decided to ditch but, to them, it wasn't ditching if the teacher's absent. A lot of the other students had decided to leave too while only a small number of teens stayed.

"Dude, how could the teacher not show up for twenty minutes? Like, what the ," Woojin leaned against the lockers as Yaoxun threw his bag in there. He didn't need his bookbag anyway if there was nothing to carry.

Yaoxun shrugged, "I guess happens, man."

"Rumor has it, teachers left to see Wanna One at the mall."

Yaoxun turned around to see a familiar face, ", man! You scared the out of me!"

The male laughed at him, shaking his head, "I thought you had no fears."

Yaoxun let out an awkward laugh as he closed his locker, scratching the back of his head, "My fear is that I'll meet someone taller than me. That's my only fear in this entire world, Gyumin."

"Oh, please," Gyumin playfully stood next to Yaoxun and lifted his hand up, measuring their heights. "I'm only a centimeter taller than you, but by the looks of it, it seems like you're getting shorter. Yikes."

"Ehem," Yaoxun and Gyumin's attention quickly turned towards Woojin who, as clear as day, was pissed that he wasn't part of the conversation. But, really, who could blame him. Yaoxun and Woojin were having a great conversation on why teachers , but was interrupted by Gyumin. "If anything, I'm the shortest here. Like, seriously."

"Eh," Gyumin widened his eyes with a gaping mouth before proceeding to scan Woojin from top to bottom. Woojin was obviously taken aback as his eyes looked at him. Gyumin shook his head, "You seem like you're the same height as me, though?"

"Woojin, you're not that short. You're pretty average," Yaoxun commented as Gyumin nodded in agreement. Woojin wasn't really known to be worried about his height, or worried about anything really, but, heck, he wasn't part of the conversation and just wanted to fit in.

"Anyway," Gyumin looked at the two. "Skipping class again?"

"Yep," Yaoxun popped the last letter before sighing, shoving his hands in his jeans. "You? You don't skip classes, though."

"I wanted to piss, but I immediately left because I heard people ing. Plus, I yelled 'i hope you get aids' and banged the stall door, and it turned out to be my homeroom teacher."

"Oh, ," Woojin and Yaoxun looked at each other, finding it both creepy and entertaining that they said it in complete unison, and turned back at Gyumin soon after.

"What's worse is that the girl turned out to be that chick you were dating for not even ten hours two months ago."

"Wait," Yaoxun shut his eyes, raising his hands out towards Gyumin, trying to take in everything and remember who he was talking about because, to be frank, there's been a lot. "That Bori chick? The one that cussed me out?"

"Bora," Gyumin corrected. "And, yes, that chick."

"ing exposed," Woojin tsked.

"Both literally and figuratively," Gyumin laughed as the bell to hell the next class rang.

"Okay class, I'll be taking attendance and then we'll begin class."

The entire class groaned, only a small number of them actually keeping quiet as they actually wanted class to begin. As much as Yaoxun wanted to despise them, he actually sort of envied them because he wished he looked forward to class, or just school in general. He was pretty average, or slightly below average, but, no matter how much he tried to enjoy classes, he just doesn't. Not one bit. As long as he's passing, he doesn't look into the issue as much.

After Yaoxun's name was called, he noticed a few familiar faces. He noticed Kiseol and that Ong guy at the opposite side of the room, and saw Yeri shooting daggers into her back, probably because Chian and that Chanyoung guy weren't in this History class. Luckily for Yaoxun, Gyuha had this class as well, so it wasn't that gruesome to have the same class as the 'queen bees'.

"Jeon Jiho. Jeon Jiho? Is he not here?"

Everyone in the class started to look around, trying to spot this Jiho guy and out of curiosity. Yaoxun, too, was curious as he wasn't familiar with the name. Then again, when is he ever familiar with names without a face?

Yaoxun turned around to ask Gyuha, "Who's Jeon Jiho?"

Gyuha looked at the teacher who was busy writing stuff on the chalkboard before turning his attention back to Yaoxun, "I heard he's working."

Yaoxun raised a brow, "Working? Like... Full-time kind of working, or?"

Gyuha shrugged before signalling Yaoxun to look ahead, the teacher looking straight at Yaoxun who, shockingly, didn't say much about him talking in class. Typically teachers would get mad if a student was talking or doing something 'stupid', but this teacher in particular was fairly lenient on Yaoxun holding up the class. He must really not want to take anymore from students.

History was a drag, especially since it was technically the first day back and no student wanted to participate besides a small handful, but even they weren't taking class seriously. Like as much as fart jokes go, Yaoxun didn't find it entertaining at all. They're so 2000 and trashy for his taste.

Thankfully, the next period was lunch, and that was literally the one period Yaoxun looked forward to all day. Sure, he was pumped for physical education sixth period, but the first day of gym isn't something Yaoxun enjoyed. The rules never change, so what's the point of listening to them for a whole ing period?

Yaoxun first met up with a friend at his locker before proceeding to the canteen for lunch. Yaoxun got a lot of stares, especially since he's never seen hanging casually with a girl, but they did promise to have lunch together as a thank you for getting him out of a hole he calls a drunk date (meaning: Yaoxun dated another girl while drunk, found himself in an unknown house and literally ran out when he found out the girl was twice his age). Luckily, this girl talked Yaoxun through his mess that day, and promised to not tell anyone about it, just as long as he paid for her food.

"This is the only time I'm buying you food, Eunbyul," Yaoxun took two trays and proceeded to get lunch for the both of them.

Eunbyul rolled her eyes, "You promised a week. It hasn't even been a day."

Yaoxun sighed, inputting his pin for lunch, making sure to notify the lunch lady that he'll be paying for two. He quickly gave Eunbyul her tray, "Yeah, but I'm running out of money since I'm temporarily unemployed. It's basketball season!"

She let out a laugh, playfully elbowing him as they went to find an empty table or at least two open seats, "Oh, fine. I'll shorten it to three days, but you owe me when spring rolls in!"

Yaoxun playfully saluted, "Ay Ay, captain!"

The two quickly immersed themselves into their lunches, but Yaoxun did notice a number of glances from other girls. This was typical for Yaoxun whenever he was with other girls, even when it was a known fact that he was one hundred percent single. But not many knew of his relationship with Eunbyul, so a lot of people speculated that Yaoxun was dating the smartest person in school. But that was far from the truth. Heck, Yaoxun never once thought of dating Eunbyul. She was like a little sister to him, and it would feel weird if they were anything more than friends. One time they were spotted together, and people commented on how cute they were, but Yaoxun literally gagged and laughed. No offense to Eunbyul, but ew? That's straight up in Yaoxun's book.

As Eunbyul was about to say something to Yaoxun, Chian and his homeroom posse came around, taking a seat next to Yaoxun and Eunbyul. Chian, being the clingy guy he is, slung his arm around Yaoxun, "Oh my god, we even have lunch together! Isn't that crazy?!"

"Everyone has lunch together, what are you on," Kiseol laughed.

"I'm on Yaoxun's love," He playfully puckered his lips out towards Yaoxun, a little too close for comfort. Suddenly a hand came in Yaoxun's view, stopping Chian from planting a wet one on Yaoxun's face.

"Slow down, lover boy," Yeri tsked, pushing Chian's face away from Yaoxun's. Was Yeri actually being... nice for once? Yeri looked at Chian who just pouted, which made the rest of the guys laugh.

Yaoxun quickly stole a look at Eunbyul who, surprisingly, was talking to Kiseol about... science homework? Yaoxun was confused at their conversation, only because he thought Eunbyul was in 2-A or at least one of the higher levels. Was she in 2-F this whole time?

As Chian was starting to complain to Yeri about his uality with Chanyoung and Minwoo listening in, Yaoxun decided to take up his and Eunbyul's tray to the trash bin. As he went up, he spotted a few familiar faces in the sea of students. He saw Gyumin with Minhyuk and Woojin's friends, Woojin fighting with a vending machine not too far away. Inkyung was with a boy, immersed in a book together, the same book Inkyung was reading during homeroom. Gongdo wasn't too far from Inkyung, but he appeared busy with writing and reading to even bother. Jaeeun wasn't far from where Chian and them were, but she was with Hansol and Tzuyu who appeared to be more invested in Jaeeun's little 'story time', probably about Eunw—

"Are you just going to stand there, or?"

Yaoxun turned around to meet a familiar face, "Oho! Emo kid Jung!"

Jung eyed him with, what Yaoxun calls, a constipation face. As much as Yaoxun enjoyed messing with Jung, the younger wasn't too pleased with the that comes out of his mouth. But, nevertheless, Yaoxun was one of the closest friends to Jung next to his roommate Jinsoo. Jung sighed, "As much as I want to hang by the trash for the next fifteen minutes, I'd rather not be seen with you or by the trash."

Yaoxun faked a pained expression, putting his hand on top of his heart, "Ouch. That hurt my feelings, Min Jung."

Jung's expression didn't change, staying it's serious smile, "That's the point."

Before Yaoxun could say anything, Jung turned around and headed back to his table where Jinsoo and a couple of other people were, but knowing Jung, the other people weren't his friends.

Science was slowly becoming Yaoxun's most hated subject, only because instead of the typical 'getting to know you' session or a lesson, the teacher assigned a project. A. ing. Project. This isn't how you should run a class. With a ing project on the first day.

no.

"The project," the teacher began writing on the chalkboard while many of the students started to throw middle fingers up at the back of the teacher before they turned back around. Yaoxun noticed that some of the students weren't pleased at their peers' actions. Tsk. Goody two shoes. The teacher turned back around with a wide, yet amusing smile, "Is actually a paper on what you learned last year in your previous science class and thoroughly explain one topic you remember. The format has to be correct and it can either be typed or handwritten, whichever you all prefer."

Some students began to groan and whine whilst the teacher just chuckled. Yaoxun, on the other hand, was completely lost once the teacher mentioned 'paper'.

The teacher went to his desk, seeing that there was ten minutes left of class, "It'll be due this Friday. Now, you can talk amongst yourselves for the next ten minutes."

Yaoxun blinked, looking at the teacher who put their head on their desk, before looking at the board where only 'Writing Project' was written. Yaoxun was still confused and angry over a project on the first day, but he zoned out and completely missed the assignment. He looked around, trying to find someone he's familiar with to ask about the assignment and complain afterwards, but he couldn't spot anyone he knew that wasn't already talking in small groups.

He looked to his left, seeing a petite figure in a baggy sweater come back from talking to the teacher. The girl quickly pulled out a book, but Yaoxun tapped her on the shoulder, stopping her from beginning to read. Yaoxun noticed how annoyed the girl was, but at the same time, she seemed calm and looked extremely tired in his eyes. He looked at her notebook for her name before looking back at her, "Moonbyul, can you tell me the project? I kind of... zoned out while the teacher was talking."

Moonbyul blinked before shrugging Yaoxun off, "Sorry, I'm busy."

Yaoxun raised a brow, his mouth gaping at her response as she went back to her book. He found it kind of rude of her to say that when Yaoxun was just asking a simple question that shouldn't take even five minutes to answer, but Yaoxun couldn't do anything about it. Then again, he did interrupt her reading, and she did seem agitated.

Yaoxun quickly looked at the time on his phone, realizing that he only had five minutes left in this class, and he still didn't know the homework. He turned to his opposing side, seeing two people immersed in what looked liked the girl's phone. As much as he didn't want to interrupt them, he actually cared about this project as it's the first assignment of the year.

"Excuse me," Yaoxun looked at anything that could possibly give a hint as to what either of their names were and, luckily, the girl had her name on her notebook. "Miyoung?"

She looked at Yaoxun with doed eyes, the male next to her looking as agitated as Eunbyul was a minute ago. Yaoxun gulped, "Do you know the assignment? I wasn't really paying attention."

Miyoung raised a brow before giving off a smile, "Your name?"

Yaoxun looked at her, confused at her sudden question, "Um... Pan Yaoxun?"

"Phone number?" Yaoxun looked at the male next to her and wrapped his arm around Miyoung in an almost possessive manner. He, however, gave Miyoung his number, no matter how intimidated he felt with the male's presence. Miyoung chuckled, "Is Taejoon scaring you?"

Yaoxun let out a low laugh, rubbing his nape as he quickly glanced at Taejoon before looking back at Miyoung.

She took Taejoon's hand into hers, and that was the moment Yaoxun realized they were a couple. Miyoung shook her head, "Taejoon's sweet, you don't have to be intimidated by him. By the way, I'll text you the assignment later today."

The bell soon rang once Yaoxun said a quick 'thank you' before scurrying along to his Korean language class.

It was finally the last period of the school day, and Yaoxun couldn't be any happier that it's physical education, his favorite class in KRS. But, even so, he knew that the first day was just an informational period about rules and all that boring , but he still looked forward to the class.

He saw some familiar faces once he got out of the locker room and seated where his class was. Chian and Minwoo were together with Inkyung, which kind of surprised Yaoxun since Inkyung seemed like the quiet type and was hanging with one of Yaoxun's loudest friends. But Yaoxun just shook his head, looking around to see who else had gym this period.

"You're in my science class, right?"

Yaoxun turned to see a shorter girl come into view, a boy following behind. He blinked, "I'm sorry, who are you?"

"Nam Joori," The girl patted her chest with a wide grin, pointing at the boy beside him. "And this is Mark Lee. He's from Canada!"

Yaoxun laughed at the sudden comment about Mark, but he did appreciate the fact Joori had a bit of humor in her. "Well, hey Joori and Mark from Canada! I'm Pan Yaoxun from Taipei."

"Oh," Joori suddenly bowed her head, "Nǐ hǎo! Sorry, that's all I learned."

Yaoxun emitted a small laugh while Mark just shook his head at Joori. Yaoxun smiled, his dimples showing clear as day, "Do you have science fifth block?"

Joori nodded, "I saw you eyeing around asking about the assignment. You were pretty loud, so it wasn't hard to notice you."

"Well . I thought I was being sneaky about it. I guess I wasn't."

Mark raised a brow at Yaoxun, impressed at how quick he said that one sentence. Suddenly the teachers gathered the students together, Chian finally noticing Yaoxun and dragging him away from Joori and Mark. While Joori was upset that their conversation was cut short by Chian, Mark was taking notes on recruiting Yaoxun for his little unknown rapper club.

"I can't believe coach revealed my math exam grade in front of the whole team," Yaoxun grunted as he whiped the sweat off his forehead, brushing his hair back. He was really upset over how his coach actually graded his exam in front of him, revealing to everyone that he got one of the lowest marks. He plopped himself next to Chian on the bench as he changed his shirt, not bothering with his basketball shorts.

Chian let out a laugh, after grabbing a large gulp of water from Yaoxun's water bottle. It wasn't new that Chian drank from Yaoxun's bottle after practice, but many of the guys would always think the two had a 'some' relationship despite them doing the same with their friends on the team. Chian just forgot his water bottle, that's all. Chian looked at Yaoxun, "He probably did that to boost your confidence in math or something. But it's hilarious that you got a 20 on your exam."

Yaoxun raised a middle finger in front of Chian's face, and all Chian did was laugh with that obnoxious laugh he owns. He does have to admit, Chian's laugh is cute, though.

"I'm tired," Chian suddenly rested his head on Yaoxun's shoulder, closing his eyes and opening his mouth a bit to breathe.

Yaoxun rolled his eyes, pushing the younger's head backwards with a single finger, "I'm not a pillow. Just rest when you get back to the dorm."

Chian pouted at the elder who quickly picked up his bookbag and dirty gym bag. He quickly grabbed onto the elder's hand as Yaoxun quickly got up, "But, hyung! Minhyun hyung is sick, so if I sleep in the dorm, he'll get me sick and then I won't see you tomorrow and I... I might die!"

After a good ten minutes and countless of stares, Yaoxun was able to convince Chian to ' it up and nurse Minhyun'. Yaoxun knows that Chian just wanted to spend more time with him, but he was just so tired from the first official practice of the basketball season that he really didn’t want to spend another minute with Chian (no offense, bro’, but you’re a nuisance and sleep is precious). So, Yaoxun decided to go back to the dorm to rest. The good thing about it was that tomorrow was Saturday and meant there was no class. The bad thing, though? Practice was scheduled for 10am. .

On the way to the dorm, he noticed some girls chuckling at another from a good few meters away. The girls were saying things about the girl’s outfit and how it was a bit ‘gothic’ in a way, too dark and ‘unflattering’. Yaoxun can see the shorter girl’s outfit, following the points of the group. Personally, he liked her outfit and it actually wasn’t all that gothic at all. Besides, it fit the temperature a bit better and was more pleasing to the eye than Yaoxun’s blue basketball shorts and white sweater with some awkwardly unfitting pizza socks and sneakers. The girl’s, however, was better, in a way. Not to sound like a critic or anything, but her outfit was far better than the group of following close behind.

Yaoxun hated to see people getting talked about behind their back, so he took the initiative to ‘casually’ shove himself through the group of girls and towards the other, pretending to not hear the curses thrown at him from behind.

Yaoxun looked at the shorter figure beside him, his basketball in his other hand, “Hi, I’m Pan Yaoxun. You?”

The girl looked up, displeased that he was beside him. He noticed that she had both earpieces in and, by the looks of it, didn’t want to be interrupted. Yet, she responded, “Byun Kyulae.”

Yaoxun recognized that name, but couldn’t really piece together as to why. Did they hook up or are they in the same class? It’s one of the two. Whichever one it is, Yaoxun just shook his head before beginning to dribble the ball, trying his best to avoid eye contact just in case it was the first, “So, how are you?”

Kyulae rolled her eyes, and her tone shocked Yaoxun a bit, “Look. If you’re just talking to me about the girls back there, you can leave. I get teased a lot, so it’s not a big deal.”

Yaoxun blinked, quickly looking up at her before back at his basketball, “I wasn’t—”

“A big shot like you wouldn’t talk to me so openly without it either, a, being a prank or, b, trying to look like a hero,” Kyulae emitted a low grunt before clutching tightly onto her bag. “Maybe I’ll see you tomorrow or not, but I’ll be heading now.” Suddenly, picked up her pace and headed into the second year girl’s dormitory. Yaoxun took a quick glance at her bag, noticing that it was a gym bag with a small but noticeable volleyball keychain on it. He raised a brow, taking note that it could be a possibility she does volleyball (a/n: well no Yaoxun lmao back to your scheduled program rip).

Yaoxun immediately plopped into his twin-sized bed, not even bothering to take a needed shower for his smelly . He was too sore and tired to even move his arm to check all the missed texts from his sister, the one person who he wished would stop spamming him but was still glad since it always looks like he’s busy.

The door suddenly swung open, revealing a familiar face to Yaoxun. He raised his brow, “Gongdo? What are you—”

“I’m your roommate,” He suddenly plopped his bags near the door, looking at the mess that was already made by Yaoxun’s basketball and his opened luggage. Gongdo emitted a sigh, shaking his head, “Are you always this messy?”

“Um,” Yaoxun scurried to close his luggage, allowing a clear path for Gongdo towards the other twin-sized bed. Yaoxun blinked as Gongdo threw his bookbag on the bed, “How come you’re—”

“I stayed with my sister until now since our mother wanted me to try staying with her, but no, I sincerely hated my time there.”

“Oh,” Yaoxun gulped, not knowing what else to say to him. He already knew about his sister’s health issue, everyone in the school did actually. But Yaoxun was still a bit confused over his sudden appearance. I mean, Yaoxun knew that he was going to have a roommate, but the name he read wasn’t Gongdo’s na—

A small cough was heard by the door, which caught both Gongdo and Yaoxun’s attention.

Ong Minwoo.

Minwoo looked at Yaoxun before seeing Gongdo on the other bed, “What the hap is ening— I mean, what?”

Yaoxun’s eyes doubled in size, not being used to Minwoo’s sudden use of curse words. But, then again, he didn’t know Minwoo too well to know how he acts. Yaoxun scratched his nape, “Um… Why are you here?”

Minwoo pulled out a folded paper, something that all the students received in the mail, “This is my room?”

Yaoxun and Gongdo looked at each other with furrowed brows and turned to Minwoo almost simultaneously, “What?”

Minwoo walked up to Yaoxun, Gongdo following close behind, as they all started to compare their papers.

Well .

All three of them had the same room number, but each paper had a different name on it. Minwoo had Gongdo’s name, Gongdo had Yaoxun’s and Yaoxun had Minwoo’s.

A huge ing problem.

“ing hell,” Yaoxun slumped back onto his bed, rubbing his temples as a headache started to form. Two was only allowed in the dorm, but because of this sudden problem, none of them knew what the to even do.

After discussing the issue with the main office and their dorm secretary, Hyunwoo, the only option to solve this problem was to choose one of the three to move in nextdoor with Gyumin. Although Yaoxun was actually pretty close with Gyumin already, making the move a bit easier for the three of them, he already had his unpacked and into this room.

That left Minwoo and Gongdo, but neither of them wanted to even move an inch. They wanted Yaoxun to choose one of the two to stay, but Yaoxun was too much of an emotional since it sounded like he was choosing which one was better and didn’t want to ruin any friendships.

Yaoxun suddenly came up with an idea, though probably a bad one, but it was still an idea, “Hey, what if we did rock, paper, scissors?”

Gongdo and Minwoo raised a brow, Gongdo being more wary of the idea as he shook his head, “What do you mean ‘rock, paper, scissors’? I feel like it wouldn’t do mu—”

Minwoo suddenly rested his fist into his right hand with a cheeky grin, “Best two out of three?”

Gongdo looked at Minwoo’s hands then up at his face. Gongdo was stuck, not knowing whether to commit to this childish game or just leave himself. He rolled his eyes, “Fine.”

“Hola, new roomie,” Yaoxun slung his arm around the male’s neck, patting his shoulder with a smile.

“Yaoxun?”

“Yes,” Yaoxun raised a brow, looking down at the male who had just finished putting his stuff into his half of the closet and bathroom.

“I hope I don’t find you in my bed. Yeri’s told me some crazy stories of you in her bed at the girl’s dorm.”

Yaoxun grunted, his voice suddenly breaking with every syllable he said, “ yOU, MINwOo.”
