2 AUTHOR'S QUESTIONNAIRE
1. When did you begin writing Asian fanfiction, and what was your first fanfiction?

I've started like many times, in fact I tried to get into writing fanfics thrice to be precise. The very first attempt, I have not even read a single fanfic in my life yet. I was still on Tumblr, and transferred the fic on here. It was a ChanBaek fic but it was trash, the most memorable part about this is the first comment I got saying exactly that: "This is rubbish." Girl, thanks for saying that. I managed to do better afterwards.

2nd: Another attempt at a "proper" fic, this time a Chanyeol x Reader. It was fine, heavily stricken with teen angst. Personally din't like it. Afterwards I removed that from my story list as well. No notable comments, just basically didn't personally feel impressed by it.

3rd and last first attempt, the one that stood the longest until I deleted my account from the face of the internet (also keep in mind my fics from that account no longer exist, because I don't keep copies of them aside from what's already on this site): It was an EXO Tagalog crack fic, less than 1k word count. The most silly-goofy one yet, and the one I didn't expect to gain traction but did. This one launched my interest in writing crack fics, even written my first multi-chaptered one starring EXO as well. It was also the first fic that had the most engagements back in my old account.

2. The fanfic that you were really nervous while writing it ?

The Beauty Collector – because of the theme.

3. Haters?

None. And I don't know if I'm crazy but I actually look forward to these. Not because of an ego-trip thing, but I'd like to know the full scale to see where I stand myself in regards to my works and how I view things. I'm pretty confident with what I produce because mainly they are things I already like, plus I take the extra effort to consider what might be easier to introduce to others/what others may already like as well. I take time to make a typically already good thing even more worthwhile. Yes I do this for fun but I also do this to learn, so I am always mindful to impart that ideology outwardly through my works as well.

4. Fanfic where you poured your heart, literally?

I don't tend to do this; no matter how I try, I can't do self-inserts in that sense. What happens with me is that I mainly draw inspirations from real life and actual experiences but I either put it in another perspective, challenge my own, try to make sense of my own, or a combination of all three. So they aren't necessarily "pouring my heart out", it's more like dissecting the heart and turning it into a different organ, if that makes sense.

5. The comment that left you.... WOW?

Wow...hmm, I think I remember one of my old story called Anti-Hero, and someone said they only logged back into their AFF account just to read that. That was nice but they never commented again even after the story had been completed, so I'm left in the dark with what they thought of it overall and how it made them feel, and what they were able to take away from the whole reading experience.

6. Something that made you cry, as an author or a reader?

I remember feeling teary-eyed for the imaginary victims in The Beauty Collector. I also got a wee bit emotional (not in a heavy sense, just sad and disappointed in very general sense) with one confrontation scene in Blackmouth where Howie asks Santi how he is so selfish and keep avoiding his responsibilities and as a result making things harder not just for himself but for people who are trying to help him as well. But for reading, I only ever felt heartwrenching pain from Anterograde Tomorrow by Changdictator.

7. Curious superstition you have when writing?

None.

8. |RANDOM| Besides of writing this, what are you doing right now?

Listening to a podcast series called Quiet Part Loud.

9. Message for your readers?

Dear readers,

I hope I find you on here as well as on my stories. I hope you can give support to me and to my works. They are really good and carefully crafted; I've taken the time to make them the best they can be. I actually think readers are doing themselves a disservice by not reading any of my fics but I digress. You can always find them where they are anyway. You can catch up to them anytime you can. Just be sure to let me know your thoughts, and I hope it helps you or offer you something you didn't already have or you never thought you want but realize it's exactly what you need.

Yours,

Ame.
