when one first lays their eyes on sun, they are first smitten by his gentle demeanor and soft words, but the more they interact with him, the more they reveal the real him.

gentle and friendly, sun is a kind soul. his easy going personality flocks people to him naturally. he's a good listener and intentive with everyone he meets, it's not a surprise that he has the amount of friends that he does. he doesn't see the need to be rude or mean to others, more like he might not have a mean bone in his body. he's gentle with his words and mannerisms, much more polite than many others his age. he grew up to be a respectful gentleman. and intelligent too, born with a good memory, sun has always done well in school and it's not just in his education. he seems fairly intelligent outside of school as shown that he's adaptable with situations and a fast quick-thicker. he's also highly independent. for most of his older years, it's just been him and such it has shaped him to what he is now. he barely ever asks for help, rather working for things himself. he'd rather be the one to help others, to see smiles on their face as he does so.

one would think sun would be confident, more confident in himself, but in reality, he is just a being full of insecurity stemming from his upbringing. it might also play with his stage fright, something he has dealt with all his life. it's also the reason why he likes to help, helping to the point that it may not be good for himself because he doesn't want to seem bad in the eyes of friends and others. which plays along with his sensitivity. others may just deem him emotional, but sun's more sensitive than most. certain little things can send him down a spiral. he feels much more than others, deep down whether it's positive or negative. his sensitivity can cause him to be more anxious, more nervous almost to the point of paranoia (not so often, but it's still there). despite that, sun still has a childish aura to him in the form of how gullible he can be. he's easy to sweet talk, to believe someone's sweet, persuading words. most tend to use it in a teasing manner, but many don't realize how it effects him in a more real sense.

BACKGROUND

sun's life starts out nice until it wasn't.

sun remembers his mother's soft smile, gentle eyes, her melodic voice cooing at him. then he just remembers saddness clinging to the thoughts of her.

sun is only five when his mother leaves this world due to a car accident. he doesn't remember much after her funeral except for the void of her character in his life. he remembers his dad closing in on himself, barely interacting with him. and then one day he comes home school, his father spiraling in bottles of alcohol.

sun is only ten when he has to start little part-time jobs just to make sure both he and his father can eat. without his mother, sun's father is a shell of a man who drowns life in gambling and alcohol. thankful due to friends and family, they are able to curb most of it, but at some point, sun feels like he should be helping his father more.

sun is fifteen when a friend suggested to pick up singing. sun, who joined choir as a young child, but always blended into the background because he never wanted attention, had been found singing by himself and his friends all thought he had a nice voice. the only problem was...he has horrible stage fright.

due to his father's random debts because of his gambling, he tried many ways to get money. one of them was trying to get sun to be a child actor...which was where sun's stage fright was first found. every time sun is put in front of people, he freezes in anxiety and all he can think of is his mother and how she used to sing to him, which just brings up sad memories.

it's not until he's seventeen when his friends finally convince sun to create his own youtube channel. it was how he was able to bypass his stage fright. with the ability to showcase his singing talent, it was another avenue of cash for his father. he now felt like he had a purpose.

LIKES

► bubble tea -- sun really enjoys bubble tea. he's always so excited to try new flavors all the time. he's definitely the one to never get the same order twice. he tends to go for more experimental flavors.

► spicy foods -- naturally, thai food is on the spicier spectrum and as such, sun has a liking towards spicy foods.

► summer time -- much like his name sake, sun enjoys the summer season the most.

► dramas -- sun has a guilty pleasure for watching dramas (thai, chinese, or korean). he prefers the more romantic ones than darker ones, but if it piques his interest, you'll see him binging it when he has the time.

► exercising -- he's not a gym rat, but he does like to keep himself fit so he likes to do light exercise from time to time.

► small animals -- nothing against big animals, but small animals are just so cute! how can you not like them?

DISLIKES

► bugs -- sun just really hates bugs, okay. especially spiders, yeah. what purpose do spiders have? NOTHING.

► money -- he has a turbulent history with money, hates how things costs a lot. it's just...very complicated.

► shellfish -- he's allergic to shellfish.

► homo/transphobia -- either one, sun hates both, especially since one.) he is gay and two.) most of his friends are too and also trans. he will not tolerate any of that.

► action movies -- he really doesn't like the excessive violence that genre can have and he just prefers to avoid those kinds of movies.

HOBBIES

► singing -- not really a surprise. despite singing on youtube being a bit of a job for him, he truly enjoys singing.

► cooking -- one of the last things he remembers about his mother is her delicious homecooking and as such he began cooking in memory of her.

► knitting/sewing -- some people might think it's weird, but sun is quite knowledeable in sewing and knitting mainly due to usually not having enough money to buy new things, so he'd have to sew up holes in his clothes or uniform. he picked up knitting as mostly a hobby, knitting scarves for his friends and family. he's recently gotten into crocheting.

► doodling -- he's not super artistic, but sun is pretty good with logos and calligraphy. when he became a youtuber, he ended up experimenting and created his own logo.

► yoga -- it's one of his favorite light exercises that he likes to do. he has his own yoga mat that he likes to use as long as a few yoga equipment.

HABITS

► humming -- sun has a tendency to hum a lot especially when he's waiting (whether for something to cook or waiting for someone in particular). he'll hum some random song that is stuck in his head.

► biting his lips -- one of sun's nervous ticks. when he starts getting anxious, especially when asked very harsh questions, he will begin biting at his lips. it's normally not a big deal unless his lips are chapped.

► carrying chapstick -- sun's lips tend to dry out easily so he carries chapstick wherever he goes. he actually- it's not just one he carries, he carries a multitude of chapsticks of different flavors.

► scrambling away from bugs -- due to his fear of bugs, sun is definitely one to instantly start scrambling away from bugs. he may also either start crying or screaming, sort of almost like how xiumin is, but with birds.

► fidgeting fingers -- another anxiety tic of his, sun will fidget with his fingers. most of the time, rings help him from fidgeting with his fingers, but more often then naught, he likes to play with jechan's earrings.

FEARS

► spiders -- if there is one bug that sun is ultimately afraid of, it would be spiders. he hates them, definitely 100% scared of those eight-legged beasts.

► his father -- it's complicated™. deep down, he really loves his father...but on a broader spectrum, he hates how his dad uses alcohol and gambling to solve his depression. he's lowkey afraid of one day his father doing something that he will later regret.

TALENTS

► spice -- sun has a high spice tolerance and tends to surprise people when he eats something known to be really spicy without much of reaction.

► calligraphy -- due to looking up how to make pretty letters and such, one thing sun can really be proud of would be logos and calligraphy stuff he can come up with.

► kntting -- like said above, sun loves to knit scarves and can make really nice and warm scarves. it's considered to be a grand gift when one is given one of his scarves.

► homemade cooking -- eclipse consider it a talent especially when its a gruelling day after schedules that only a homemade meal could fix (even if it's on the spicier side).

TRIVIA

► his youtube username was under singingsunshines. he went under his chun len, thinking not much of it. the account went under hiatus when he was accepted into dal media.

► the funny thing about his failed time trying to be child actor has to be when he first became a youtuber. before he became one, his father tried to persuade sun to be an actor again...even trying to push him to do bls since he had found out that they were getting popular. he still fails in the acting department, but it's funny to him.

► one of sun's favorite snacks is snacking on raw peppers. yeah, it's not surprising at this point.

► he tries to send his father money at least once a month, especially after moving over to korea.

► one of the first members to wake up in the morning. he's always been a natural early riser, but he also likes to make everyone some kind of breakfast (or snacks, in case of having to get to a schedule in a jiffy).

TRAINING BACKGROUND

there wasn't any official training, being a youtuber. though he would read all the comments and take criticisms to heart and fix what he did wrong. he'd look up vocal tip videos, read up on stuff he could improve on.

he picked up dancing from a friend who encouraged him to dance more after seeing him have some talent and thought it would help sun with his stage fright, something that still liked to rear it's head from time to time.

being a youtuber was nice, he had a nice set up and schedule. everything was good.

(maybe except for his father breathing down his neck, needing more money again.)

sun is twenty-one when he gets a random email from a...korean company? it had to be a joke, seriously! yeah, he was a pretty casual kpop listener (who wasn't at this point). he had recently posted some kpop vocal covers and wondered if the company saw them. though their name had interested him. at least he knew they were a legit company, hearing about their girl group rose before. the email was simple, not a direct invite to the company, but an ad for a possible online audition.

so that brought sun to a fork in the road. should he accept the email and audition? or just ignore it?

sadly, the decision was taken from him after his dad learned about. his son being a famous singer! could you imagine the money he could make? feeling the need to do what his father said (and with the healthy encouragement of his friends), he sent in a video.

of course, sun is surprised to get a response back. an approval, an accceptane. he made it.

the next couple of weeks were a whirlwind for the thai male, suddenly being into a new environment with minimal knowledge of the language and having to rely on english (thank god he had good english!).

with that said, training was very draining for him. his singing was fine-tuned while his dancing was pushed to limit, learning new things he had never thought of before. it was hard and tiring, especially the instructors had a lot to work because of his stage fright and the language barrier.

thankfully with the help of fellow trainees, sun wasn't too far behind and was able to swim amongst the strong swimmers. due to his quick learning, sun was placed upon a trainee group.

a group that will eventually become eclipse.

PRE-DEBUT EXP

► youtube -- prior to becoming an idol trainee, sun was a popular cover artist on youtube. he posted many vocal covers of popular western, thai, and even korean songs. his account started faceless, but as he grew more comfortable with youtube, he did a face reveal (after graduating high school). he wasn't super popular, but he did have a strong following that loved his soft, but popular voice.
