APPEARANCE the first thing people notice about yoobin is his cute small face and big eyes that make him look like a puppy. he has slightly feminine features which makes him pretty. he's slim and average height but he'll still kick your :) currently his hair color is just black. maybe he'll dye it later.
STYLE yoobin's fashion sense is slightly androgynous, he likes bright colors and experimenting. he sees fashion as gender neutral so he doesn't see anything wrong with wearing croptops or painting his nails. he wore his sisters clothes when he was younger so he shops in both sections of the store. he's small enough to fit their clothes anyways and shares clothes with his sisters often. he loves thrifting so please go with him.
BACKGROUND
yoobin was born in daegu as the youngest and only boy to a family of 4 sisters. his mom really wanted a son, she already had yoojung back in 1992 but wanted to give it one more shot before nature took its course. each year from 1999 she had girls until she had yoobin in 2003. the doctors actually thought he was a girl so thats why they named him yoobin but when he was born they were surprised to see it was a boy.
his family is a big fan of the arts, his dad was a highschool music teacher and his mom a ballet instructor at daegu university. all his siblings before him were either musically gifted or could dance, and yoobin got the dancing gene. yoojung got the dancing gene but everyone in between were singers with two left feet then yoobin was born. he started taking ballet classes when he was 3 and had to learn piano like all his siblings. the rest of his siblings (except yoojung) stopped dancing at around 10 but yoobin only got better. but as he got older he found an interest in hiphop because of his older sister. watching her dance was much more fun and exciting than twirling to piano music. he started taking hiphop classes at 8, instead of starting with beginner classes he went right to intermediate because he was already a fast learner from his years of ballet. he moved up to advanced classes with his sister by 10 and was the youngest in the class. him and his sister were known as the double d, the daegu duo since they had really good chemistry dancing together despite the .
in 2015 yoobin and his family moved to seoul because his mom got offered a better job as a ballet instructor at korea national university of arts. either way yoobin had no problem making friends at school, he's outgoing and can make friends anywhere. in 2015 his sister joined 1million as a dance instructor, when he wasn't at school or "studying", he was with his sister in the dance studio helping her choreograph or taking classes. you know how before the class the instructor shows the dance first, yoobin would usually be by yoojung's side showing them the dance. in class he'd be like her little assistant, making sure the students were doing it correctly and doing the dance on the other side of the room so everyone could see. yoobin would take classes in all types of styles, after moving to seoul his skills were only getting better from all the dancing he was doing.
in 2019, his last year of middle school at 16 he auditioned for the show dancing high with a few of his other friends but he was the only one to make it. dancing high was a really fun opportunity for him, he got to work with amazing dancers and make new friends. he was on hoya's team so he didn't win but that got him to get an offer from sm entertainment. he signed with sm in 2019 and trained with them for 2 years before leaving. being a trainee was fun and he got the opportunity to learn from choreographers all over the world, but instead it helped him realize that he wanted to be a choreographer and not an idol. he made a lot of good friends and connections during that time, after he left he went right back to his old life of helping his sister as an even stronger dancer. during his senior year he attended the dance major shows of multiple universities all over korea but it was jeju university's show that stood out to him so he applied and got in, totally not because he has two sisters that already go there.

yoobin is that one kid in elementary school that gets his hand glued to his face. that basically describes his whole personality. he's a fun loving boy who just wants to have a good time and for everyone to be happy. it's like he has a never ending timer full of energy. even when he's exhausted from practicing or performin g he still has a smile on his face at the end. he is a strong believer of doing what you love and finds the joy in every little thing. he is probably the least judgemental person you could ever meet. you can literally pick your nose in front of his and he wouldn't even mind, because who doesn't do a little digging for gold once in a while.
being the extrovert that he is, he loves making new friends and being around people. he can start a conversation with anyone, even the homeless person near the subway. he loves learning new things and will ask an endless amount of questions to the point where its almost annoying and invading your privacy but he's just curious ok don't be mean ;;
many people might find him annoying at first but once they get to know his they'll learn that he's actually just a child at heart!. he's just hella nosy and doesn't even realize that he's annoying people. if he trusts someone then he would believe them blindly. if you say the sky is green then he must be color blind cuz apparently the sky is green! that's how much he trusts people. if you're his friend, which he considers anyone that he said hi to at least 3 times a friend, then he'll care for you no matter what and defend you if you need it.
with all this childlike energy, he can actually be kind of wild too. like they say, curiosity killed the cat, and he's felt the backfire of his curious nature more than once. he's always down for a random adventure and will gladly drag his friends with him.
when it comes to academic things he has a short attention span because sometimes instead of paying attention he'll be spinning on his chair having the time of his life all by himself or bother his friends instead by squishing their . but when theres a challenege or an activity taking place, he's the first to jump in and participate even if he knows he'll fail because yolo. the only timehe concentrates is when he's dancing or choreographing, its like he transforms into a different person. especially when he teaches he looks small and cute but he glares attentively and pays attention to detail. when it comes to dance he could do it for hours then only realize its been hours once he steps outside and its pitch black and his body hurts.
but such a bubbly and innocent personality also has its bad side. yoobin is an open book and he thinks that naturally other people are too, but this obviously isnt the case. he has nothing to hide and will answer you truthfully no matter what the question is. but his constant blabbing actually leads his to reveal others secrets as well and he'll usually quickly cover his mouth with his hand once he realizes what he did. he's also blunt and will tell you the honest truth but will somehow sugarcoat it at the end so it doesn't sound as bad. if you ask him how you look today knowing you don't look as good as usual, he'll probably say your face is bloated and you kind of look ugly, but its ok! beauty is in the eye of the beeholder! sometimes his honesty can hurt but its better than lying!!
he's also a big crybaby. he cries hella fast but then gets over it quickly once he gets distracted by soemthing. like cake! he loves strawberry short cake! he would always be there for his friends and family when they're sad, but usually his advice is straightforward instead of empathetic.
he can be explosive, especially when people mess with his friends. he's quick to stand up in front of someone and defend his close ones, usually speaking loudly with his country accent or letting out a high pitched "yaaa!!" he isn't passive and will speak up if he disagrees with something but won't be rude about it. he usually doesn't hold a gudge so he gets over anger quickly and is quick to forgive others. even when he's sad he gets over it relatively fast.
he has a sassy side that comes out when he gets upset, he would make a sassy and passive aggressive remark. a lot of the time his sass is friendly though like "giiiirl what are those." all his friends agree that he definitely would've become a meme if he became an idol because he even became one on dancing high.
overall, yoobin is a bright boy who honestly just trying his best to spread happiness and rainbows in this cruel world. but don't mess with him because his chihuahua can bite!

UNIVERSITY LIFE
MAJOR dance.
ROOM PREFERENCES yoobin would apply for either a double or a triple room, he's fine with either since he likes making friends. the more the merrier because the more shower buddies he has. he'd be a pain of a roommate because he hates cleaning and his room is a mess. he rather wait for someone else to do it for him instead of do it himself. so that empty cup of ramen would stay on his nightstand until someone picks it up for him. and the same can be said for the candy wrappers under his bed. he'd also ask them to shower with him and would literally tickle their nose until their awake to ask if they wanna go get ramen with him at 4am. he probably won't be in his room often since he likes outdoors and he's busy but when he is his presence would definitely be known. he just wants a roommate he'd get along with, a gamer, sports fan or dancer is definitely ideal.
SCHEDULE most if not all of yoobin's classes would be dance classes, unless they're like nutrition or general education classes so he wouldn't have much homework. he'd spend a lot of time choreographing, taking dance classes and practicing for school performances. he wouldn't just want to sit at home so anytime he'd have free he'd want to spend it with friends outside and exploring jeju or even with his sisters.
DIRECTION yoobin wants to branch out on his own as a choreographer. he's never gotten a job as the main choreographer, always an assistant so its his dream to teach his own class. if he were to have a part time job thats what he'd want to do and even teach his own choreographies if he can. he knows he could just join 1million with his sisters connections but doesn't know if he'd want to constantly live under her. so he has to figure that out, also just the usual making friends and memories thing. he spent 2 years as a trainee and there were many things he couldn't do so he wouldn't want to hold back on the exploring and having fun aspect.

hallo! waah thank you! my name is lee yoobin and i'm a dancer. originally i came from daegu but i moved to seoul when i was 12 because my mom got a teaching job there. she's a dance teacher by the way. and my sister also became a dance teacher at 1million dance studio, its like a famous dance studio in seoul, but anyways i was kind of like her assistant for a while. and then i went on a show called dancing high and got scouted by sm entertainment and trained for two years but then i left because honestly idol life isn't for me. i just want to dance so here i am.
out of all the colleges in korea, why did you pick jeju university and why your major?
i had about ten schools i was thinking of so i went to all their performances this year and i thought jeju university's was the best so i applied here as my first choice. its funny because my mom helped choreograph the dance at korea national university of arts but i still thought your guys's was better. i think she was a little offended by that not gonna lie. but its ok! she should be over it by now. oh and my sisters go here too! maybe you know them? their names are lee yooah and lee yookyung. yooah is a 4th year fashion major and yookyung is a 3rd year medicine major. but honestly i didn't come here because of them, it's all a coincidence. oh oh and i'm a dance major, i almost forgot to mention it haha. bascially my whole family is creative and we all took dance classes but only me and yoojung stuck with it. yoojung is my sister that teaches at 1million, incase you got lost.
where do you see yourself in 10 years?
oh my god what a loaded question. i mean hopefully dancing unless i fall of the stage and break my leg and like can't dance ever again. but like knock on wood, that would be tragic. i seriously want to travel the world and be a choreographer, teach classes and like maybe open a dance school someday. yeah thats where i see myself in 10 years.
what would you say are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?
ok so my strength is that i'm a really good dancer haha. at least i think so, i mean i'm pretty well rounded compared to other dancers that just focus on one thing. hmmm a weakness of mine would be that i'm tragic at everything that isn't dancing. it might sound ridiculous but like anything with academics and math i just can't concentrate. honestly my grades in school weren't the best i'm not really sure how i got in here haha.
as a freshman you will reside in chungsam hall, what do you look for in a roommate? any lifestyle habits that you find intolerable?
i seriously want a roommate that i can be friends with and we can explore this island together. like imagine sleeping next to someone you don't even get along with? that's so lame like were not an old divorced couple you know, i want to be friends. i don't think theres anything thats intolerable, i think they have to be able to tolerate me and my supposed sleep walking habit. oh actually i hate smoking, its seriously gross. i can't dance with bad lungs.
what are you looking forward to the most as an incoming freshman?
dancing!! i'm so excited to learn from the professors here and take dance classes. make other dancing friends too! i've only been to jeju on vacation when i was little so exploring the less touristy spots would be cool. maybe adopt a frog, who knwos!

HIS STANCE ON LOVE due to his cute looks, personality and the way he dresses, a lot of people assume that he's gay but that's actually not the case. he personally doesn't understand why people tend to think so. but even more they don't understand how he could get so many girls. yoobin actually has had over 10 girlfriends in highschool alone. he's an unexpected certified ladies man and its all because he grew up with sisters and knows how to talk to girls without feeling the need to impress them. he's like a girls guy best friend and then they catch feelings and date but then end up friends after they break up. he's actually remained friends with all his ex girlfriends and none of them have had anything bad to say about him. usually it comes down to not having enough time. he's open to dating, hooking up and even staying single. he will gladly confuse all of jeju university with his rizz.
