Background.

Morohoshi Asuka was born on March 9th, 2001 in Tokyo, Japan to a well off family. Asuka was the first born and only child of her parents. No matter how many times she asked for a baby sister from Santa, she never got one. Growing up as an only child of a family with a fair amount of disposable income had it perks though. Asuka’s parents sent her to private schools from a young age where she blossomed into a well rounded little girl. Asuka’s mother insisted that she enter some dance or instrumental lessons from a young age and when given the choice, Asuka picked dance and bass guitar classes and quickly fell in love with it. She would spend every second she could either dancing or playing her bass guitar that she lovingly named Ao due to it’s blueish-green colour. It wasn’t long before she became infatuated with the idea of becoming a famous bass player.

In her first year of middle school, Asuka was quickly convinced to join the small but tight knit music club where she met her closest friends who she has remained close to until this day. Asuka felt like the boys and girls she met in the music club just got her and her love for music. They quickly formed a band called ‘The Moving Castle’ (featuring Asuka on bass and as backing vocals) that would perform at every school and public event they could. The members of ‘The Moving Castle’ would often talk about their hopes and dreams of becoming a top selling band in Japan. They were all gathered at Asuka’s house talking about said dreams when Asuka was called away by her parents and told the news that her family would be moving to Seoul, South Korea due to her families fashion buisness entering into the country. Asuka truly felt like her world was crashing day on top of her within that moment when she gave her friends the news.

Asuka tried her best to convince her parents to let her stay in Japan but to no avail. It wasn’t long before everything was packed up and she was on a plane to her new home, Seoul, South Korea. It was decided that for the rest of middle school like that Asuka would attend an international school as her English was much better than her Korean as she had been taking private lessons since she was a young child. Even though it was a struggle, Asuka slowly adjusted to the life. Asuka decided quite quickly that she didn’t want to continue with bass lessons in Korea as she felt loss playing without the members of ‘The Moving Castle’. Her mother did get her to agree to start taking dance lessons again which happened to be a game changer for Asuka. When she had joined the band in middle school, she had stopped her dance lessons so she could focus more on it, but after entering them again in Korean, Asuka felt like she had found her lost love. Dancing quickly became her everything. She would spend all her free time dancing or with the friends she had made from her classes.

On a trip back to Japan for her sixteenth birthday, while spending time with the members of the band, one of the members, Ai, mentioned to Asuka that she had started to get into KPOP. Of course the members of the band knew about Asuka’s dancing in Korea and Nobuyuki offhandedly mentioned that Asuka should audition to be in a KPOP group to which the other members agreed. Asuka said no and that it wasn’t for her but the thought remained with here, even when she returned to Seoul. After talking about it with her parents, they agreed to let her audition for companies so Asuka thought why not give it a go? She started auditioning for a handful of companies but ultimately landed on DAL Media.

Likes.

Fashion / In her family, it would be a crime not to like fashion. Asuka enjoys putting together outfits and even drawing designs in her free time.
Dancing / Dancing has always been one of Asuka's passions, but after moving to Korea it practically became her life.
Umeko / Her bass guitar. She would guard it with her life. If she finds a member playing it without asking her she would fight them.
Photography / A recent hobby she has picked up. She prefers to photograph people and often forces asks the members of Eclipse to be her models.
Cats / Her family cat, Tamago, is currently 18 years old and lives with her parents. She would love to adopt a cat for Eclipses dorm.

Asuka's family owns the rather large and well known design fashion company, Moro.
Asuka plans to take over her family buisness some day in the future and because of this attended foreign high school in Seoul where she majored in English and minored in Japanese.
She is currently taking online university classes for fashion design and buisness.
Asuka often likes to post bass covers and dancing videos to Eclipses accounts.
She would like to start a band with other idols in DAL Media who play instruments.
Asuka got her license as soon as she could, though she never really uses it.

The Moving Castle

Asuka originally grew close to the members of The Moving Castle when she was in middle school. The group is still close even though they are all doing their own thing. Their group chat is still fairly active with people sending messages every day. They are some of Asuka's biggest supporters. Whenever she heads back to Japan, they try their best to get together and spend some time with each other.

Asuka met Momona in her first year of middle school. Momona was two years older than Asuka and was one of the last two members left in the music club. She found out Asuka had a love of music and decided to try and persuade her to join the music club, to which Asuka did. They became rather close after that, dispute their . Asuka likes to often refer to Momona as her 'Musical Mother' as she was not only the president of the club, but she was also the one that showed Asuka most of the music she ended up liking.

Nakajima Nobuyuki / Twenty-two / Art Major/Art Instructor / Personality

Asuka met Nobuyuki when she joined the music club as himself and Momona were the final members left after the previous third-years had graduated. Despite Nobyuki being the year above Asuka in school, the two clicked super well and became close in what felt like no time at all. Even though all the members of 'The Moving Castle' still keep in contact with each other, Nobuyuki seems to keep in contact with Asuka the most. The two will message each other everyday and try to call when they can.

Due to Asuka joining DAL Media a year before their debut, she didn't get to spend much time with Rose as a group and therefore is not super close to all the members. She is friendly with everyone in Rose, just some more than others.

Since she didn’t really follow idols in Japan, Asuka didn't really know much about Yuna's work before coming to Korea which Yuna was happy about. - Asuka's trainee life wasnt the best.
- Once some of the other trainees started to find out she was from a well off family some started to talk behind her back and say she was only a trainee because of her money
- She started to feel like she had to push herself to always do her best because of this and often over worked herself because she felt like she had something to prove.
- She would often have talks with Hyojin about leaving the company at that time but Hyojin convinced her to stay.
- She eventually became close to Hyojin as she learnt aboyt Hyojin's past and found kinship in the way they were kind of similar.
- Gradually started to listen to those trainees less and less and eventually found her place with some of the other trainees.
- Was one of the first trainees to be added to the line-up of eclipse.

Pre-debut.

Modeling / Over the years Asuka has shown an interest in modeling and fortunately she was able to model for various things relating to her famalies company.

The Moving Castle / Asuka's middle school band. The band stayed together until Asuka was made to move to Korea.

Instagram / As she is the daughter of the owners and heiress to the Moro empire, she naturally grew a large following on instagram. She often posts pictures of her outfits. After debut she still continues to post her outfits just with more photos of Eclipse sprinkled in.

Asuka is the heiress of famous brand, Moro? / It was never a secret from the start. It's never been something Asuka has felt that she has had to hide but it's not necessarily something she goes around telling people. She is proud of what her family has achieved but she is so much more than just a heiress.

Asuka paied her way into the idol life / A rumour that has been following Asuka since her trainee days. In short, it's simplynot true. She became a trainee of her own accord without the help of her families money.
