Everyone knows Bieun as a bright and happy girl, known for her witty comments and dramatically funny reaction. She's naturally hilarious and has people clutching their stomachs in laughter whenever they interact with her. Her comedy sense is blunt and sometimes . She's known for being single for way too long so she'd jokingly be a bad flirt just for laughs. Whether its her reaction to things or something she says, she's just funny. She's loud on camera but she actually isns't loud all the time, especially when she's concentrating she's very serious. Until she gets tired then she just lays on the floor questioning life. 

Being the only girl with two other brothers she learned how to be quick witted. She also learned how to be sneaky and play pranks. She shows her love for you by prank you because not everyone gets to experience a Bieun prank. People assume that because she's willing to make a fool out of herself that she's not intelligent. When she actually is really smart, she puts a lot of thought into things before she does it. She has random nerdy interests and just happens to be good at useless things that are impressive. So even though she's quick witted it does take her a while to take tough decisions because she likes to weigh her options. 

Thanks to her parents she has a lot of consistency for an entp who are known to be all over the place. While she does bounce between ideas because her brain is just an idea machine they tend to stay in the same realm. She takes commitments very seriously and is strict on keeping her word.

Unlike most parents hers weren't emotionally avoidant but for some reason Bieun is. She hides her struggles through jokes. During an awkward or sad situation making a joke is her coping mechanism and her way to stay light hearted through hard times. People wouldn't take her seriously because she's constantly joking so after a while she started putting her feelings aside. She rather go with whats best for the group instead of her individually. As the middle daughter she helped her brothers a lot with their issues but didn't get a chance to talk about hers. Now that she has friends she could talk to she's getting used to expressing her feelings but the public isn't used to seeing the serious side of her. She usually has endless chaotic energy on camera but on Produce Angel she wants to show her more serious side too to show that she's not just a comedian but an idol.

BackgroundWhat was their childhood like? what happened to make them who they are today?

Bieun was born in Goyang South Korea as the middle child to scientist parents Lee Bomgyu and Kang Sumin. She is the only girl with two brothers, one two years older and one a year younger. Being so close in age they were a close bunch of siblings. Their relationship definitely wasn't perfect, they had their ups and downs like all siblings. One minute pulling each others hair then helping each other the next. Her parents were busy people that traveled often but each time they took their kids with them to open their eyes to how different people live. Bieun was actually well off but she didn't feel it during her childhood. Despite traveling every year her parents didn't spoil any of their children. They only rewarded them when they deserved it and made sure they knew the value of money.

Her parents made them all choose a hobby and a language to learn that they had to stick with from when they were little. They would only change it after three years of doing it. At first Bieun picked painting but it didn't take her long to realize that she has tragic art skills. Even three years of art classes couldn't save her. So she tried dancing instead and fell in love with it. She started taking dance classes from when she was 12 years old. She trained in all types of dance from ballet to hiphop. She was on the school dance team too. 

She didn't discover Kpop until highschool through a friend who was obsessed with BigBang and TVXQ. She joined the Kpop dance club to make her friend happy but actually ended up enjoying it a lot. It was then did she want to become a Kpop idol too. Her parents were very grades oriented so they wanted her to wait until she graduated highschool before becoming a trainee. That way she could have at least thought it through instead of it being a spur of the moment decision that could ruin her grades and prevent her from getting into a good college. She understood them so she waited but by the time she graduated her decision didn't change and her parents fully supported her to audition. Lucky enough on her graduation day she got scouted by Core Contents Media and took it as a sign of fate.

She's actually a really loyal friend and is wise beyond her years because of how much experience she had in the entertainment industry. She never had a female friend that she was really close to until she met Jessi. Jessi is the savage friend that will tell you the brutal truth but also gives amazing advice from her heart. They're an unlikely pair but go together like bread and butter. Jessi even helped her with her rapping skills to become better.

Friend and Mentor | Yoo Jaesuk | 49 | TV Personality | Bieun met Jaesuk long before Sixth Sense but thats where they got close. He treats her like a daughter and she calls him her second dad. He actually became good friends with her dad forreal too. When she goes on Sixth Sense and Hangout With Yoo he scolds her like his child whenever she flirts with the male guests and makes jokes. She would also go whining to him during the show when someone is mean to her and he defends her everytime. He thinks she's a very talented comedian and supports her idol career too. He's the one that got her on Produce Angel in the first place.

Ex Boyfriend and Friend | Lee Kwangsoo | 37 | Comedian and TV Personality | Believe it or not, Kwangsoo was Bieun's boyfriend for a few months from December 2017 to June 2018. They met on Running Man when Bieun went on the show to promote her single Smiley. They had a bickering relationship on the show just like between her and Jackson so people liked them together. Bieun was invited on Running Man multiple times because of how well that episode did. Jaesuk is the one that set them up on a date together and they started dating soon after. Their schedules rarely lined up so they barely saw each other while they were dating. She saw that he got along well with Sunbin and thought she was a good match for him since she was more availble for him too so she's actually the one that told him to go for it. He started dating Sunbin a month later and she's really happy that they're happy together. Even though he was dating someone else he was still there for her often because he knew it was hard for her, she just didn't say it. She's still good friends with Kwangsoo and Sunbin now, she goes to their house for dinner sometimes too and jokingly talks bad about Kwangsoo with Sunbin when neither of them really have anything bad to say to him. Everytime she writes jokes she asks for advice from him and he always answers her when she needs him. From the bottom of his heart he wants her to be happy and wishes she would express her emotions more.

Bieun joined Core Contents Media after graduating highschool. She had no plans of college, just wanted to be a trainee. When she got in she trained for a few months, they were looking for the newest member of T-ara and Bieun didn't make the cut so after almost a year she left. She got an offer to be a trainee at KeyEast so she joined for a few months. They had plans of debuting a girl group called The Ark but after months of high hopes they were brought down again as the company kept pushing it back. Bieun was already old for a trainee so she didn't have much time to waste and didn't intend on wasting it either. 

She left KeyEast to join DSP Media after getting another offer. A few months after she joined training former Kara members Nicole and Jiyoung left the group. DSP Media launched a reality TV show called Kara Project which revolved around seven trainees competing to become the new member of the group. Even though she missed 2 live performances due to a leg injury from practice, she grabbed attention from viewers and topped the voting charts. She was announced as the winner and became an official member of Kara on July 1, 2014.

She had a month to prepare for her debut and it was exhausting but Bieun loved it because her dream was really coming true. The girls released a mini album and went on her first but Kara's 3rd Japanese tour. It was overwhelming to get thrown into a tour so fast especially when she was unknown but her members really helped and the fanbase was mostly friendly towards her. During that time Bieun was also juggling being a cast member on the show Roommates 2. She gained popularity for her big muted laugh and personality, especially having a tom and jerry relationship with Jackson. 

After the tour they returned with the song Mamma Mia, Bieun's first MV filming. Bieun also joined Hitmaker season 2 and became a member of the group Cham So Nyeo that had 1 song called Magic Words. Her popularity had steady growth, mostly for her variety show appearances. When in Kara she didn't gain much attention. In 2015 they had a Japanese single that topped the Oricon Daily Singles Chart, a 7th mini album with the title track Cupid, a fifth Japanese album and their fourth Japanese tour. She was booked and busy but it all came to a halt when all the other members of Kara didn't renew their contract after it expired. Bieun and the company agreed for her to continue as a solo artist because she already developed her own fanbase. A few months later she made her acting debut as a supporting role in the drama Another Oh Hae Young. But variety programs was where she shined so she was cast for several putting her music career on hold.

DSP planned to debut a co-ed group called KARD and thought it was a good way for Bieun to get back into music since the public didn't really care about her music career but she ended up getting replaced with Somin instead. She still appeard on many variety shows that year and she only became more known for being funny. She didn't want to give up on music so she fianlly made her solo debut on August 25, 2017 with the single Don't Make Me Laugh. Two months later she came out with another single titled Do You Miss Me. Neither of them charted and even when she promoted it on variety programs the public still didn't seem to care.

She got an offer to join Gag Concert in 2018 as part of the 32nd class, she didn't want to be known as a comedian but being a singer obviously wasn't working in her advantage so she decided to embrace her talents and accepted. Her popularity grew a lot while on Gag Concert because of the popularity of the show, she even won the best newcomer award. She featured on many popular variety shows and became a fixed cast member in some of them too.

In 2019 she left Gag Concert and joined Big Comedy League instead, she's been there for the last three years while still going on many variety shows like Hangout With Yoo and Sixth Sense. She's known for her comedy and her singing career went forgotten, though it's still her biggest dream. She renewed her contract with DSP in 2021 so she's still under the company since they're supporting all her activities well.
