FLORIAN　the name he went under when he studied in france. he wasn't called this for a long time until it becomes his stage name.

佐藤 グムオ　sato gumuo is his alias that he currently goes under from when he modeled after his parents disowned him.

금우　geumwoo is the korean romanized version of his name. after moving into the program, gumuo just lets the korean trainees call him this since it seems easier to say that than gumuo. later, when the members find out about his relationship with sungwon, they decide to tack on lee to his name.

NICKNAMES

WEAKLING　gumuo is simply a weakling. he's thin, barely any muscle on his lithe form. he does not have the body built for any kinds of sports. a stong gust of wind is able to even push him around and he can barely pick boxes filled with stuff. not fond of this nickname because he knows he's weak, no need to remind him...

RICH BOY　gumuo carries this air of 'i've got money' around him. his mannerisms and poker face are what makes his aura scream 'rich boy'. the funny story to this is that he did, in fact, used to be a rich boy, but is just using a friend's wealth now.

GUMMIE　taking the 'gum' from is name and making it cute. this nickname is guaranteed to make gumuo blush.

PRINCE　due to his 'rich boy' aura and mannerisms, everyone was quick to call gumuo prince...like everywhere. when he lived in france, in japan, and even now in korea.

a variation of this nickname can be princess, but that is exclusively used by sungwon and gumuo will slap anybody else who calls him as such.

ROBOT　because of his upbringing, gumuo grew used to showing the world a mask of indifference. he closed up his emotions so he could be the perfect son to his parents. in doing so, many people began to call him a robot with no emotions. gumuo tries to show more emotions, but old habits are hard to break.

PIGGY　gumuo used to be quite chubby as a child, his cheeks making his whole face round. while his body did slim a little, he was always known as the chubby kid in school. this was nickname bullies called him and it's become a bit of a trigger word to gumuo. he hates this nickname with a passion and is thankfully no one calls him this anymore.

DOLL　his visuals are often compared to that of a porcelain doll, very pretty and seemingly fragile.

gumuo is highly intelligent in a sense of book smarts, due to his excessive studies as a child and throughout high school. his brain can calculate big numbers and he understands how words work and the like, his brain holding immense amounts of knowledge, but it's not only book smarts. he's intelligent in the way he knows how to read a room, to work people into his favor, to have people listen to him. going along with his way with words, gumuo is also very eloquent. his upbringing had him learning til it became natural, speaking in a rather persuasive and powerful tone that can easily move people. and deep down, he's just as passionate as the other trainees. he pushes himself, ignoring if he's uncomfortable or scared, just to learn more whether it learning new knowledge, new singing techniques, or even to dance just a tiny bit better. and because of that gumuo can be seen as very hardworking. he puts his all into his passions and will continue to work until it's done, but sometimes that can be his downfall...

even before his prestigious schooling thanks to his parents, gumuo has always been a rather quiet child from the get-go. he keeps to himself, barely feeling the need to scream or yell and usually only speaking when spoken to. and being quiet and keeping to himself, he has become quite the observant person. along with his intelligence, his observing can be a rather deadly thing, as he's perceptive to his surrounds and the situations around him. due to his background and how much it was drilled into his brain, he is seen as solemn and he certainly acts like it most of the time. formal and dignified, he's poised and seems like a very respectful person. normally seen in a positive light, it can be a bit of a negative especially when he's seen in a more free environment meant for people to unwine and he's still there, looking slightly stiff. almost as if looking lonely...

one might not think at first glance, but gumuo hides major insecurities inside of him. it eats away at him from the inside, staying with him wherever he goes. the insecurity grew, due to barely having a parent's love or praise for the good he does, and now he barely believes he's truly good. which plays along with his perfectionist ways. he doesn't know when to stop, to be perfect in hopes to get the praise he's always wanted in life. working and working, geumwoo won't stop til it's perfect even when he's out a breath and no stamina. it doesn't help that that trait was also a product of his upbringing. gumuo can certainly be seen as stubborn and that's right. gumuo can be as stubborn as a mule, almost bratty in his own views and the way he does things. stubborn in the way that even if someone would volunteer to help, he would most likely ignore and refuse help. gumuo seems like a lot of things, but tying in with his insecurity, he's sensitive. always been sensitive, even as a child. he's good at keeping a face, a mask of indifference, but even jokeful words can pierce his heart. littlest things can push him down a downward spiral of depression, making his emotions go wild inside his mind.

 

TIDBITS

►　* to gumuo's knowledge, he thinks he's fully japanese, but in actuality, he is half japanese and half korean. his mother had relations with a korean man in order to concieve him, but lied and said his father is the one that got her pregnant. he eventually finds out about this later in tarot's career.

►　gumuo was accepted into the university of tokyo with business and accounting being his major. he was at the top of his class before he dropped out.

►　gumuo has known he was homoual since he was in high school back in france. his father had tried setting him up with girls for maybe a possible marriage for the future, but gumuo felt no attraction to any of them...though he would find himself blushing whenever the boys at his school would say hi to him.

►　he's not very public about his uality cause he doesn't see the necessity of telling people. he'll let someone know if they ask.

►　gumuo has a personal diary that he writes in. the diary is full of stuff that happens every day, but it's also full of poetry and lil short stories. though the thing is...it's all in french. it's how gumuo keeps up with his french. also, he won't have to worry about anyone trying to read it (side eyes sungwon, namhyun & milo).

►　gumuo knows how to play the piano and violin, instruments that his parents felt like he needed to know. he hasn't touched a violin in years, but he has still kept up with his piano skills thanks to sungwon. he likes to play on sungwon's keyboard so much that sungwon actually gifted it to gumuo.

►　gumuo's favorite sweet treat is coffee jelly. absolutely loves that stuff. he could eat about five of them in one sitting if he wanted to. sungwon got him addicted to them.

►　even though his parents are high up on the social ladder, he was never in the spotlight. his parents managed to keep most of his identity private. other families knew that the couple had a son, but he was pretty much kept out of the spotlight. he never understood why, but it worked in his favor.

APPEARANCE

a visual, that is for sure. gumuo has natural good looks with his big, cat-like eyes and pouty pink lips. his skin is pretty pale, almost milky white which make his dark eyes pop out even more.

gumuo is pretty skinny with his small waist and thin wrists, his bmi only just a bit underweight. gumuo doesn't gain muscle very well and he's not very athletic either. if his shirt ever rides up, it will show prominent hipbones and a smooth stomach.

despite his small height, his legs take up most of it. most people think he's tall until they approach him.

his ears are pierced, both through the lobes. we wears simple black studs in them on a daily basis.

he is void of tattoos and scars.

gumuo has never experimented with his hair, keeping it's natural dark brown-black in which he thinks he looks best in.

STYLE

immaculate. that is a word that well matches gumuo's sense of fashion. very clean and proper, nothing he wears looks old or torn. they look rich and make him look rich as well.

though most of his closet is filled with clothes he took from home and he takes ultimate care of them.

most of gumuo's clothes tend to be a bit baggy on his lithe frame, but he can't help that.

if one took a closer look at his wardrobe, one might find that his expensive clothes are, indeed, worn in like they are old and that he has worn them multiple times before.

some of his clothes even look like they don't belong to him (worn-out band tees? definitely not gumuo's style), but no one really knows where gumuo got them they are definitely sungwon's clothes that gumuo stole.

FLORIAN　originally a shortening of gumuo's name was going to be used for his stage name, but heechul felt like muo wouldn't match gumuo's visuals at all. and due to how crazy jpop stage names can be, heechul was instantly drawn to gumuo's french name and felt like that was the perfect name he could use. so thus, florian became his stage name.

►　before the sljk program and sm entertainment, gumuo was under a small modeling agency called hoshi modeling. he modeled under the company for about 2ish years until takeshi scouted him for the sljk program.

►　unknown to the other members, but in order for gumuo to stay in the sljk program, he named dropped his parents' names to madame kang. he essientally bribed his way to stay in the program.

►　everyone knows that gumuo's visuals are out of this world. it's the very first thing people notice about him. his doll-like visuals become really popular around the training halls. he is then named sljk's doll which then follows into tarot.

►　maybe it was from the unique way he was scouted, but it's not a secret that takashi has a soft spot for the japanese trainees...especially gumuo. he knows the male struggles from not only dancing, but spiraling insecurities and he only wants to see him bloom.

►　due to gumuo's use of sato for his surname, it matches takashi's and a lot of the trainees thought they were related at first. it's just a inside joke now though sometimes gumuo may joke by saying "I wish he was though."

PERSONALITY

what kind of person is lee sungwon? he's essentially the whole package. at first glance, the man is polite and kind. he excludes a caring persona that makes people flock to him. and as you get to know him better, those traits just amplify. he's a giant teddy bear, practically a mother hen with the way he smothers the ones he deeply cares for.

a social butterfly with lots of friends, he easily finds ways to take care of everyone he knows with no problem. his gentle words and warm smiles instantly make people swoon for him.

but sungwon has some darkness to his sunny exterior. he's actually extremely selfish...selfish in a way that he wants to make everyone happy. he will sacrifice his own happiness to make sure it happens. he's quite stubborn in the way he won't let others see his weaknesses. he's so adamant on covering it up with smiles and caring words until his own emotions bubble up.

sungwon is also extremely protective and, in a way, he can become quite possessive with his close ones. he's not afraid to step up in front of someone who dares hurt his loved ones.

 

FIRST MEETING

pretty cliche in a way. when gumuo started college, he was in a rather dark place and had garnered a bit of a name for himself as the snappy, gloomy kid. no one dared to approach him, well, except for one student, a korean student.

sungwon didn't believe someone could be so closed off for no reason and he was determined to make a new friend. gumuo thought he was obnoxious, his mind already writing him off as another annoying person like everyone else.

LOVE STORY

sungwon proved to be different. he continued to bother gumuo; talking to him, including him in conversations, etc. it bothered gumuo to no end, but...soon enough sungwon managed to make a crack in gumuo's wall. when gumuo started to reply to his conversations, sungwon knew he got to him.

and soon enough, the two of them hit it off. sungwon got to know the true gumuo, sensitive, but passionate. gumuo began to trust sungwon with things, letting some of his past slip from his lips. as caring as sungwon was, he became worried, especially when gumuo came to school with dark bags under his eyes. and then gumuo finally told sungwon everything and the reaction was immediate. sungwon wanted gumuo out of that house immediately.

gumuo dropped out of college, family disowning him, but it was okay. gumuo had sungwon, who was kind enough to take him in.

sungwon was extremely supportive of gumuo's dream to sing. he had always caught the small male singing here and there and he knew that he would have a future in singing. and with sungwon's caring nature, he always tries to help gumuo out (though gumuo soon found out that sungwon was quite biased), but the man tried his best.

it was after he was disowned by his parents when the feelings crept up on gumuo like a wild fire. sungwon didn't ask any questions when gumuo and him returned to his apartment after grabbing his stuff. he said no word as he set up a bath for male. he still said nothing when sat on the bed, arms open for gumuo. he consoled him throughout the night until gumuo fell asleep, whispering comforting words.

it was the next morning when sungwon, the blunt person he was, confessed to gumuo right then and there. he laid his heart out to the frail, pretty male. and gumuo, who had already fell hard for man the night before, tentatively let his own confession spill from his lips.

and they've been going strong since.

INTERACTIONS

like an old married couple– the two are certainly a sight to behold when they are together. sungwon, a bright and fiery spirit, henning over gumuo and gumuo scrunching his nose and slapping the giant like the typical tsundere in a anime.

but that's only in public.

in private, they are a much closer couple. they don't need to talk to understand each other. most often than not, they just hold hands and cuddle on the couch, comfortable in each other's presence.

due to the distance between them, they don't have a lot of interactions, but they try their best in other ways. sungwon constantly texts gumuo. good mornings, good nights, how are you's, etc. sungwon knows that gumuo can't always message back, but he knows that his texts make gumuo smile and that's what keeps him going.

 

LOVE TIDBITS

►　their height difference is insane. with gumuo only standing at 173cm, sungwon stands at a whopping 185cm.

►　they are usually referred to as the giant and the elf couple because of their height difference.

►　gumuo refers to sungwon as his daddy long legs. sungwon has practically saved him, giving him his emotions and life back. gumuo also has sungwon saved as daddy long legs as his contact name.
